"Arik! Arik! Wake up—she's about to enter the class!"
A boy's urgent whisper rang in my ear.
I slowly opened my eyes, rubbing them hard, trying to push the sleep away.
Yeah… I know. Sleeping in class is stupid.
"Man, if you keep doing this, one day you're going to get caught," Max muttered.
I stretched lazily.
"Relax. It's the last day of school. We'll never sit in a classroom again."
Max snorted.
"Only school is over. What about Ranger Academy? You planning to sleep there too?"
"Never," I said confidently. "I'll become the greatest Ranger ever. Even stronger than Lord Green White."
Max froze.
"…Bro. Stop dreaming."
"Come on, at least support me."
Before he could reply, a loud laugh cut through the classroom.
"Hey everyone! Did you hear that?"
A tall boy with sharp red hair stepped forward, clapping mockingly.
"He says he'll be stronger than Lord Green White! What a joke of the century."
That was Jade.
His father was a Red Decoy Ranger, one of the highest-ranked Rangers in the system. Jade had talent—real talent—but it came wrapped in arrogance and an ego bigger than a Zord.
"Alright, you win," I said, raising my hands in surrender.
"I take it back."
There was no strength in arguing with someone who believed volume was power.
Some people think taking a step back is weakness—
but sometimes, it's wisdom.
The classroom door slid open.
Silence.
A woman stepped inside, probably in her mid-twenties.
Curly brown hair fell to her waist.
Glasses rested neatly on her face, and soft pink lipstick caught the light.
"…Man," someone whispered,
"I'm lucky we got her as our class teacher."
Every boy in the class nodded in agreement.
At moments like these, every man in the universe becomes a brother.
And somehow…
I had a feeling this wasn't just the end of school.
It was the beginning of something much bigger.
