Chapter 3 - Plot

Let's see… what do I remember?

Midoriya, the main character—quirkless but with the heart of a hero—meets All Might, the number one hero in the world, and receives his quirk after ten months of training. He then enters U.A. High School after passing the entrance exam thanks to rescue points.

On the first day, the teacher Shota Aizawa conducts a quirk assessment test and threatens expulsion. The next day, All Might teaches a combat class with a competition. After that, the USJ incident happens.

Then, I think there was the Sports Festival, followed by internships and the Hero Killer arc. After that came the final exam, then mountain training where Bakugo was kidnapped. That led to the Bakugo rescue and the fight between All Might and All For One.

After that… I think there was a battle against another school for some reason. Then came the Overhaul arc, followed by the school festival. After that was Endeavor versus a Nomu, then Class 1-A versus Class 1-B. I think that's when Midoriya started unlocking more of the previous users' quirks. Then there was the Liberation arc… I think.

From spoilers, I know Midoriya has One For All, flight, black tentacles, and Fa Jin. There might be more that I don't remember. In the end, the heroes win, but Midoriya loses One For All and works at McDonald's—or something like that. I'm not even sure if the McDonald's part is true.

Whatever. What does Midoriya's ending have to do with me?

Now that I remembered all this, I should write it down so I don't forget it. Then I can think about what I want to do in this life.

I jumped off the swing and headed toward the building. As I was about to reach the building, I noticed two kids older than me blocking the path. They had cornered a mutant-type kid—one with slightly distorted features—who looked younger and smaller than them.

One of the bullies shoved him lightly, not hard enough to knock him down, but enough to make the message clear.

"Don't look at us like that," the other said, laughing. "Creepy."

The mutant kid clenched his fists but didn't fight back. He just lowered his head, clearly used to this.

I walked past them without stopping.

As I did, a sudden cold sensation brushed against my body, like icy air slipping under my skin. I paused for half a second, my steps faltering, then kept moving toward my room.

It wasn't my problem.

Back in my room, sitting on my bed, I started thinking about that cold energy. It had to be related to my quirk, I thought. I began touching and bending my smallest toe to check whether it had one joint or two.

It seemed I had a quirk after all.

So how was I supposed to manifest that energy?

I tried everything I could think of—shouting "Kamehameha," striking dramatic poses, meditating, and more. After some time, I decided that I should first write down everything I knew about My Hero Academia in code, and then try to use my quirk again.
