"Bzzzzzz!"
The roar of the insect swarm's vibrating wings resounded through the sky at the forest's edge.
"Awooo!" WereGarurumon locked its eyes on the several Kuwagamon diving down from ahead.
It stomped its right foot hard, its figure transforming into a sharp arrow that shot upward to meet them.
At the very instant it was about to collide with the swarm, its claws lashed out, creating ten incredibly sharp claw marks.
The claw energy spread, forming an ice-blue storm of claw blades that covered a range of several meters.
Six Kuwagamon diving fastest at the front found their hard shells to be like paper before these claw blades, which were filled with the ultimate tearing power.
They were instantly sliced and pierced through, then transformed into a sky full of scattering data fragments.
Almost at the same time WereGarurumon made its move, GrapLeomon also acted.
It took a steady step forward, pulling its white-gauntleted right fist to its waist.
Facing another group of Kuwagamon coming from the side, it twisted its waist, sent its shoulder forward, and punched.
The movements were simple and fluid, yet they contained a terrifying explosive force capable of splitting mountains and cracking stone.
A fist aura, condensed to the thickness of a bowl and with the faint roaring image of a lion's head visible within, shot out like a cannon beam, blasting straight into the insect swarm.
Wherever the fist aura passed, the air was compressed into a sonic boom cloud.
The Kuwagamon in its path, whether they tried to block with their sharp giant pincers or attempted to dodge, were instantly pierced and blown apart by this unstoppable fist aura.
It tore through seven or eight of them in a row, carving a temporary empty path through the swarm.
On another side was Kyubimon—no, at this moment, she should be called Taomon.
She had already quietly evolved into her Ultimate form—Taomon.
She still maintained the elegance and mystery of the fox clan, but her figure was more slender and upright.
She wore a blue and white Daoist robe adorned with a Yin-Yang Taiji symbol, its wide sleeves fluttering without any wind.
In her hand, she now held a giant, ancient-looking calligraphy brush that was as long as she was tall, its tip glowing with a faint halo of spiritual light.
Facing several Okuwamon and even more Kuwagamon attacking from the rear, Taomon's expression was calm, showing no sign of panic.
She began to chant an ethereal and mystical spell that seemed to come from ancient times.
Amidst the chanting, the giant brush in her hand danced through the air with masterful strokes.
Where the tip passed, it left behind complex and majestic golden Sanskrit characters made of pure spiritual energy, which shot toward the attacking swarm.
"Bonhitsusen!"
The swift Kuwagamon, when struck by these Sanskrit characters filled with the power of purification, had their shells instantly light up with a dazzling golden glow, as if an unstable, massive energy had been injected into them.
BOOM!
A series of incredibly violent explosions bloomed one after another within the swarm.
The Digimon hit by the Sanskrit characters were, without exception, blown to pieces amidst the blinding golden light and fierce explosions, dissolving into data.
Taomon's posture was elegant, her movements free and easy.
With every brushstroke and chant, several, or even dozens, of insectoid Digimon were wiped out by her "Bonhitsusen."
Her efficiency was astonishing, and she exuded a unique kind of composure and power belonging to a "spellcaster."
The swarm's first assault, under the joint counterattack of the three Digimon, suffered heavy losses, with nearly a third of their numbers instantly wiped out.
But this seemed to enrage the swarm even further, especially the few Okuwamon.
They let out furious screeches, their giant pincers by their mouths, which glinted with a cold metallic light as if they could cut anything, opened and closed menacingly.
Letting off an even stronger, ferocious aura, they began to spread out in an organized way, each leading a squad of Kuwagamon to launch focused attacks from different directions.
WereGarurumon let out a long howl and took the lead to face three massive, murderous Okuwamon on the left flank.
It delivered several incredibly swift Garurumon Kicks straight to their chests.
Its speed was so fast that its movements were almost impossible to see.
The heavy kicks landed squarely.
The Okuwamon were slammed heavily onto the ground, shattering the solid rock beneath them.
Then, the energy in its claws was highly compressed, turning them into what seemed like indestructible blades.
"Kaiser Nail!"
The attack landed solidly on one Okuwamon.
Its claws carved a cross-shaped gash on the massive, heavily armored body.
The creature's colossal body, dozens of meters in size, shattered and dissipated into data fragments.
GrapLeomon, facing the siege of three other Okuwamon, stomped the ground hard, cracking it. Its figure instantly closed the distance, and it threw a fierce King of Fists.
It knocked one of them back, then spun its body in mid-air to execute a spinning kick. Its special move, Cyclone Turbine Kick, also successfully and quickly took care of another Okuwamon.
Taomon, facing the aggressively attacking Okuwamon directly in front of her, did not choose to fight it head-on.
The giant brush in her hand moved rapidly, creating talismans of spiritual energy out of thin air that flew toward the Okuwamon as if they had a life of their own.
Some of these talismans transformed into tough ropes of light that wrapped around its limbs, trying to hold it back; others created small spiritual explosions to interfere with its vision.
Taomon's movements were agile and graceful, always keeping a safe distance.
She used "Bonhitsusen" and her talismans to constantly wear down and restrict her opponent, firmly tying down this strongest Ultimate-level leader.
