The morning air outside the hospital was cold and thin when he got out of the hospital after checkup.
Jin stood still for a moment on the steps dazed, the city already alive around him, cars moving, people hurrying to work, sunlight reflecting off glass buildings.
Everything looked ordinary and everything is normal. But Jin felt like the ground beneath him had shifted and everything happened is not real.
The envelope from the doctor rested quietly in his hands tucked safely. Inside it was a truth he still couldn't fully process but he knew its real from his heart and he is happy too.
Pregnant yes he is pregnant with jungkook child with his love.
The word pregnant echoed inside his mind like something fragile that might break if he touched it too hard.
Beside him, Mr. Lee opened the car door for him. "Let's go," he said gently.
Jin nodded and slipped into the passenger seat carefully.
Neither of them spoke for several minutes after the car started moving. The hum of the engine filled the silence in car.
Finally after thinking long, Jin took out his phone from his pocket. He opened it but His fingers hovered over Jungkook's name for a while before He pressed call.
The line rang. Once. Twice. Seven times.
Then it got on voicemail. jungkook didnt answered his phone.
Jin lowered the phone slowly and sighed as he thought jungkook must be busy.
"He's probably rehearsing, and wouldnt have noticed the phone" he murmured.
Mr. Lee kept his eyes on the road.
"He'll call back soon dont worry."
Jin nodded, though something uneasy settled quietly in his chest he didnt know why.
Back at the dorm, the apartment was almost empty no one was in sight.
Namjoon had meetings with the company.
Yoongi was in the studio as always.
Hoseok had traveled for choreography work he just received.
Taehyung and Jimin were out again together on date.
Jin was alone or rather feeling alone after such a big news.
He sat on the couch and stared at the envelope again.
He felt confused, nervous but also happy to be pregnant he felt the bliss of pregnancy.
His hand drifted unconsciously to his stomach to caress. Nothing had changed yet. No visible sign. No movement. nothing yet.
Just the quiet knowledge that something new had begun growing inside him.
And Jungkook didn't know that they have created something with there love.
Jin inhaled slowly and tried calling again jungkook.
This time the call didn't even connect.
User is busy. that the other line said.
He tried to call once more. But The same message appeared.
Jin leaned back against the couch and closed his eyes.
"Kook…" he whispered softly.
Across the world, Jungkook was standing in the middle of a roaring crowd.
The stage lights were blinding. Music thundered through the arena as thousands of fans screamed his name. His solo tour had grown bigger than anyone would have expected.
Bigger venues. More interviews. Endless rehearsals. He barely had time to breathe between schedules and be himself for a minute.
His phone sat forgotten in the dressing room while he performed on stage the loud sound of music and cheering blurred his phone ringtone.
Late that night, after the show ended, Jungkook collapsed into a chair backstage exhausted.
Sweat clung to his hair. His throat burned from singing. One of the staff handed him a drink.
"You're going to the afterparty, right?" someone asked.
Jungkook groaned but stood anyway.
"Just for a bit then i will just go to rest."
He grabbed his phone on the way out.
Six missed calls.
All was from Jin.
Jungkook's chest tightened instantly and he felt guilt.
"Hyung…"
He quickly pressed call.
But before the line connected, someone pulled him toward the exit.
"Car's waiting! hurry up"
"I just need a minute—"
"You can call from the car!"
The phone slipped into his pocket again as the group hurried outside.
The afterparty was loud.
Music pounded through the room, flashing lights reflecting off glass and metal.
Jungkook sat at a small table with a few other artists, barely paying attention to the conversation around him.
He pulled out his phone again. The screen flickered strangely. Then went dark. Jungkook frowned and pressed the power button to restart it or on it but. Nothing happened. He tried again. Still nothing happened.
"Did it die?" someone asked.
"I don't think so."
He shook it lightly.
The screen cracked faintly across the corner, a spiderweb fracture he hadn't noticed before.
Probably from being shoved into his pocket earlier.
The phone remained completely unresponsive.
Jungkook sighed and leaned back in his chair.
"I'll fix it tomorrow, and talk to hyung i miss him so much" he muttered.
He didn't realize how many calls he had already missed.
Back home, Jin tried again the next morning. He tried again that afternoon. Still nothing was answered.
The messages remained undelivered.
Jin stared at the screen longer than he wanted to admit.
Something tight twisted in his chest.
He didn't want to believe the small voice whispering in his head.
Maybe he's too busy.
Maybe you're not his priority right now.
He pushed the thought away immediately. Jungkook had never ignored him like that. Something else had to be wrong he knew jungkook would never forget him but its just feel so sad for him right now.
That evening the nausea returned harder than before. Jin barely reached the bathroom in time to puke.
When he came out, pale and shaky, Mr. Lee was already waiting outside with water.
"You should sit, and here is water" he said quietly.
Jin obeyed, leaning against the wall.
"I tried calling him again, but still" Jin admitted weakly.
Mr. Lee frowned slightly.
"No answer?"
Jin shook his head.
"Nothing no msg no news from him."
Mr. Lee placed a steady hand on his shoulder.
"He'll call."
Jin nodded, though his eyes looked distant. Right now Mr. Lee was the only person who knew about him and jungkook and his pregnancy. The only person he could lean on and ask for help.
The secret between them felt heavier every day they didnt know what to do jin couldnt tell there member also because he has to tell jungkook first . The tension began two mornings later unexpected ane very bad.
Jin had just finished breakfast when his manager called. The tone of his voice immediately felt wrong. the feeling was bad and it was too formal for normal converstion.
"Jin," the manager said carefully, "the company wants to see you this afternoon are avail to come."
Jin frowned.
"About what hyung-nim?"
A long pause followed. Then the words came slowly from the other line.
"We received a call from the hospital you visited."
The air in the room seemed to freeze.
Jin's fingers tightened around the phone he knew about what was the call for.
"What kind of call?" he asked quietly even he still knew.
The manager exhaled.
"They informed us about… your condition."
The phone nearly slipped from Jin's hand.
Across the room, Mr. Lee looked up instantly.
The manager continued, voice tense now the atmosphere was tense even on the phone..
"The executives want an explanation and all the details."
Jin's heart began to pound he knew something bad is coming his way and his baby.
The secret he had barely begun to process had already escaped into the open.
Not to the public. But to the one place that could destroy everything. The company.
"Come to the office at three, we will be waiting for you, take care" the manager said.
The line went dead.
Jin lowered the phone slowly.
"They know," he whispered.
Mr. Lee's expression hardened in a way Jin had rarely seen.
"Then we deal with them," he said calmly.
But the tension in the room had already shifted.
Because somewhere across the world, Jungkook still had no idea.
His phone lay broken on a hotel table.
And the storm waiting for them back home had already begun.
