A handsome man stood before the mirror, admiring his reflection.
"Hm… no one else can be this handsome," he muttered to himself.
Straightening his tie with a satisfied smirk, he headed downstairs.
"Mom," he called out as he dropped into a chair, tapping his fingers impatiently on the table.
"Mom!"
His mother emerged from the kitchen, holding a plate. "I'm here! Why are you yelling like that? Am I your servant?" she scolded lightly as she placed the plate in front of him. "Here's your breakfast. Don't leave any crusts. Bon appétit!"
"Mmm," Dante hummed after taking a bite. "Your food is delicious, Mom. Where's Dad? He's never this late for breakfast."
"Mr. Dante, my son," she said dramatically, crossing her arms, "today is the important meeting with Mr. Blackthorne. And you are going to be late if you don't hurry! Eat fast and run like there's no tomorrow."
Dante groaned and glanced at his watch. "It's only eight. The meeting starts at nine-thirty. Why is he in the office so early?"
"He's taking responsibility for all his coworkers," she replied.
Just then, the front door opened, and Dante's secretary rushed in.
"Elliot," Dante said casually "Sit down. Let me get you some pancakes." Dante's mother says while standing near the door way.
"Ah—no, Aunty," Elliot replied quickly. "I'm full today. Next time, I'll eat breakfast with you for sure."
He smiled warmly at Dante's mother before turning serious.
"Sir, are you sure this document will work in front of him?"Elliot exclaims
"Yes," Dante said confidently. "I'm damn sure. Mr. Calder said there were a lot of mistakes in the original one."
"Then what did you do?"
Elliot confused
"I'll fixed it," Dante said, finishing his breakfast. He stood up, kissed his mother's cheek, and waved goodbye before heading out.
While driving, Elliot glanced at the time nervously.
"Sir, what are you going to do in such a short time? The meeting is at nine-thirty—it's already nine."
Dante didn't look up from the document. "I'll explain it briefly."
"But, sir—"
"Nothing's going to happen," Dante interrupted calmly. "Don't worry."
They reached the office just in time.
As Dante entered the building, someone bumped into his shoulder.
"Watch where you're go—" Dante stopped mid-sentence.
Those dark brown eyes caught his attention, shining softly.
He melted like honey.
"I'm sorry," the man said quietly. "I wasn't paying attention."
"Sir, we're getting late," Elliot reminded him urgently.
The man bowed politely and walked away. Dante watched the slender figure disappear before finally forcing himself to move.
Dante's POV
"The meeting ended successfully, but my mind was elsewhere.
"Dante," my father, Mr. Calder, called out. "Good work with your explanation. They liked it, and they're going to collaborate with us."
"Yeah, Dad," I replied with a grin. "I told you it would work, but you never listen."
Before he could respond, Elliot stepped in with an irritating smile.
"Sir, you have a blind date tonight."
I snapped my head toward him as if my life depended on it.
"A blind date?!" I exclaimed. "Dad, I told you I don't want to date anyone!"
Mr calder shakes his head and say " i did not set you up in a blind date"
" I did" everyone turns towards the door as the voice echoed through the office
It was his childhood friend Cruz Hockwell
"Why bro, what was the need of this trouble? I wanna live in peace without any drama and fight!!"
"I am married so why not.!?You are gonna be uncle after this month. He needs someone to play with, like i had"
"So you are making me a bait for your son
So that he could have a childhood friend"
I will post the chapter by tomorrow
