Chapter 18 - CHAPTER 18, The Silver Illusion Realm and the Collapse of the Mind

The moment Krrish stepped beyond the hidden path shown by the Lion King…

Reality didn't shatter—

It shifted.

No explosion.

No sound.

Just… a silent distortion.

The forest behind him vanished as if it had never existed.

The presence of the Loyal King… gone.

The aura of the Black Dragon… erased.

Krrish stood alone.

Completely.

Utterly.

And deep within his instincts—something whispered:

"This is not your world anymore."

---

Moments before entering this realm…

The Black Dragon had spoken—his voice unusually heavy.

"Be careful… the Nine-Tailed Fox does not fight your body…"

His glowing eyes dimmed slightly.

"It plays with motion itself…"

"Every step you take… can betray you."

He paused.

For the first time—fear existed in a creature born of destruction.

"And worst of all…"

"It breaks your mind… by turning your own emotions against you."

But Krrish had cut him off.

Calm. Cold. Certain.

"Enough."

"I didn't come here to listen… I came to win."

The Black Dragon fell silent.

But his eyes said everything—

"You don't understand…"

---

Now—

Krrish stood inside a world that felt… wrong.

The ground beneath him was black—

yet reflective like a mirror.

The sky above—

Pure silver.

Cold. Lifeless. Endless.

Even time felt frozen.

Then—

A soft sound echoed.

A laugh.

Low. Ancient.

From the silver mist—shapes began forming.

One tail…

Two…

Three…

Until—

Nine massive tails swayed in the air.

And within them—

It appeared.

The Nine-Tailed Fox.

Its eyes—

Ancient. Knowing.

As if it had already seen Krrish's past… present… and future.

"So… you've arrived…"

The voice echoed from everywhere.

"The one who defeated the Lion…"

"…and bent the Dragon."

Krrish stood still.

Silent.

Unshaken.

But inside—his senses were screaming.

---

The fox tilted its head slightly.

One tail moved—

And instantly—

The world broke.

Krrish stepped forward—

But his body lagged behind his own movement.

He raised his hand—

But his shadow moved first.

Time… space… motion—

All out of sync.

"I do not fight flesh…"

"I fight movement itself…"

"Your actions… are no longer yours."

For the first time—

Krrish narrowed his eyes.

---

Suddenly—

The silver sky cracked.

Darkness spread.

And the first illusion appeared.

Krrish saw himself…

Standing above all.

Victorious.

The Loyal King kneeling.

The Black Dragon bowing.

Countless beings at his feet.

"You are above everyone…"

"You are invincible…"

A warmth rose within him.

Power. Control. Superiority.

But then—

Everything shattered.

Gone.

Silence.

He stood alone again.

"Pride…"

"…falls first."

Krrish exhaled slowly.

"Power without control… is illusion."

---

Darkness deepened.

Then—

He saw them.

His parents.

His brother.

His friends.

One by one—

They died in front of him.

Not peacefully—

But helplessly.

Calling his name.

Reaching for him.

And he… couldn't move.

"You will fail them…"

"You will lose everything…"

"You are too late… always too late…"

His breath trembled.

His fists clenched.

This…

This was his greatest fear.

Not death.

But losing them.

For a moment—

His mind cracked.

But then—

He closed his eyes.

"Fear is not truth…"

"It is a possibility…"

"And I decide which future becomes real."

The illusion trembled…

and broke.

---

Soft light filled the void.

Warm. Peaceful.

He saw his family again.

Alive. Smiling.

His brother laughing.

His parents proud.

His friends beside him.

"Stay…"

"You don't need to fight anymore…"

"This is what you wanted… isn't it?"

For a second—

His heart softened.

His guard dropped.

Then—

Everything changed.

Those same people—

Turned cold.

And suddenly—

They stabbed him.

A blade through his heart.

From the ones he trusted most.

Pain.

Not physical—

Emotional.

Betrayal.

Krrish staggered—

but didn't fall.

"Love… can bind…"

"But it can also control."

"I won't let it become my weakness."

The illusion shattered.

---

Now—

Fire. Rage. Chaos.

He saw faces—

Those who betrayed him.

Those he could never forgive.

Including…

The two girls who once deceived him.

Their lies.

Their betrayal.

Burned into his memory.

"Hate them…"

"Destroy them…"

"Let anger make you stronger…"

His aura flared.

Violent. Dangerous.

For a moment—

He almost gave in.

Then—

He exhaled.

"Hatred… is borrowed power."

"And borrowed power… always destroys its owner."

The flames died.

The illusion broke.

---

Silence.

Heavy. Crushing.

This one… was different.

No loud voices.

No chaos.

Just… truth.

He saw moments—

Where he could have done better.

Where he could have saved more.

Where he failed.

His mother…

Waiting for him.

Alone.

His brothers…

Dying for him.

His friends…

Sacrificing everything.

And him—

Not being enough.

"You will never be enough…"

"No matter what you do…"

"You will always be too late…"

This time—

Krrish didn't resist.

Didn't deny.

Didn't fight.

He accepted it.

"Yes…"

"I am not perfect."

"I have regrets."

"I have failed."

A pause.

Then—

"But I will keep moving forward."

"That is what makes me… stronger."

For the first time—

The illusion didn't shatter violently.

It faded…

Peacefully.

---

Suddenly—

Everything went blank.

White.

Silent.

Then—

All five emotions appeared together.

Pride.

Fear.

Love.

Hatred.

Regret.

And a voice echoed—

"These are not your enemies…"

"They are parts of you…"

"Destroy them… and you destroy yourself…"

Krrish looked at them.

Calm.

Steady.

"You are not my weakness…"

"You are my balance."

In that moment—

Everything disappeared.

---

The world returned.

The Nine-Tailed Fox stood still.

Its eyes—

Now different.

Interested.

"You did not reject your mind…"

"You accepted it…"

Its tails moved slowly.

"That is where true power begins…"

Krrish replied quietly—

"You break minds…"

"I forge mine."

---

The fox stood up fully now.

Its nine tails rising behind it like divine weapons.

The air trembled.

The silver sky darkened.

"You have passed the first gate…"

"Now…"

"Let us see if you can survive the war."

Krrish stepped forward.

This time—

Without hesitation.

Without fear.

His eyes burned—

Not with rage…

But with control.

And as the ground beneath them cracked—

The real battle began.
