Ainz took a sip of the tea in front of him and let the taste spread through his tongue before falling into his throat. The tea was sweet, yet also carried a fresh sensation that he found rather pleasant.
However, what was less pleasant was the one who served him this tea during her tea party…a party with only one other guest, Renner, the witch of the fallen kingdom.
She was standing in front of him with her innocent smile as she poured some tea for herself. In all honesty, Ainz already considered that the reason why she called him here was related to this topic, but he still had some reservations about it. But Ainz only fixed her without uttering a word, as if he was waiting for something.
Renner's eyes softened before she massaged her cheek to calm down her muscles. The moment she finished, her grin grew even longer than what was humanly possible, until it reached the corners of her eyes. Her smile had nothing of human, as it now looked like the very void resided in her mouth and eyes.
Anyone would be creeped out by such a sight, as even the more iron mind would at least widen their eyes at the sudden change, no matter how many times they saw it.
But Ainz wasn't someone with an iron mind, as his mind was already beyond repair, which was why he smiled back at her. Her grin was simply a sight he couldn't get enough of. At this point he couldn't deny it anymore, he really had something for insane people.
"Your tea his excellent, but if it was made to please me, then I recommend adding some fruit skin in it, I found out I rather like their texture."

The overlord was happy to see her not being so adverse to just telling the truth anymore. As he sat back down, he gazed upon her. "And what about Climb?"
"What about him?"
Ainz scoffed in amusement at the innocent answer from Renner. "Well then, what is the need for your plan if you no longer care for him?"
Renner put a finger near her chin as she acted like she was thinking deeply about it. "Well, I don't need his cock now, do I? I did say I offered my body to you, lord Ainz, and I have the impression that I would be much happier with you than him. Yet, Climb seemed to wake up just a little from her voice, as he gazed upon her with no emotion at all. "Will we finally get to die?"
Shalltear stared at him with a raised eyebrow, before a light suddenly brightened in her mind as she had an idea. She smirked at him before raising her fan to cover her face. "Oh, on the contrary, we're here to punish you for that behaviour. We've given you the grace of staying in the glorious tomb of Nazarick, and yet you dare to make a plan to escape it through death, as if your corpse deserves to use this tomb as your own!"
Climb's eyes unfocused once more as he resumed staring at the ground. He didn't bother to panic or to scream insults at them. His spirit was broken for a long time. At first, he thought that it was his duty to take care of the princess just long enough for the day when a hero would finally rise and defeat this abomination named Ainz Ooals Gown. But when he saw Sebas in this hall, willingly working for him, he broke. He found no reason to keep desiring to protect the princess from the corruption of this place, as he made the deduction that the only way to free her was for both of them to die. Otherwise they will suffer for eternity under the hand of their captor.
Shalltear frowned at his lack of reaction and decided to go even further. "In fact, it was at first proposed that for your punishment, you would have to be tortured by one of the five horrors for at least the end of time, but your dear, dearest princess begged to be punished instead of you."
Climb's eyes suddenly widened as his eyes finally regained light, even if they were only filled with horror. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!!!? IT WAS MY FAULT, I WAS THE ONE TO PROPOSE MULTIPLE PLANS TO KILL OURSELVES TOGETHER, BUT SHE WAS THE ONE TO DISUADE ME FROM EACH OF THEM! SHE SHOULDN'T BE THE ONE PUNISHED!"
Shalltear's eyes were pleased with amusement as she reached her objective. "Climb! Shut up!" Renner's scream spread through the room before making way for silence. Fury seemed to have filled her face before her expression calmed down, and she looked at Climb with resolve. "Just…shut up...I…I will be fine…and after this is done…we can go back to our usual love life." Renner ended it with her usual pure smile.
"Ah…ah…" Climb tried to divert his gaze from her, as an immense feeling of shame took possession of him.
