Chapter 96 - Chapter 96 Surprise or shock, Malfoy can't sleep

In the center of the corridor.

The Chimera, with its serpentine body, tried to crawl behind a stone pillar.

But Lucien pointed his wand, and the monstrous creature instantly reverted into a large wooden mallet.

Lucien glanced sideways in the direction of the stone pillar.

Seeing two figures quickly retreating, a smirk played on his lips.

"Alright, head back to your dorms. We have classes tomorrow."

Lucien put away the mallet and waved his hand, erasing all traces of the Troll.

Harry and his two friends stood stunned for a moment before following Lucien's pace.

After a brief silence.

"Lucien, that just now, was that Transfiguration?"

It was Ron who asked, his eyes shining as he looked at Lucien.

"Yes, a rather complex form of Transfiguration."

Hearing Lucien's admission, the light in Ron's eyes became even more pronounced.

He had originally thought Transfiguration was merely a tool to help him learn Alchemy, but he hadn't expected...

Transfiguration could be used like that!

Creating a strange creature with a flick of his hand, and taking down a Troll in no time!

Ron couldn't even imagine how cool it would be if he could learn that trick.

"Lucien, then, do you think I could—?"

Seeing Ron's excited expression, Lucien immediately understood what he meant.

"You want to learn?"

Ron quickly nodded like a pecking chick.

"Have you finished your homework for today? Have you drawn the blueprints?"

This made Ron's face stiffen. He scratched his head awkwardly,

"Well, there was an accident today, uh, I haven't written much yet..."

Lucien gently shook his head. Children are always impulsive, always wanting to learn something new when they see something fun, even when their fundamentals still need improvement.

Hmm, Ron also showed the mechanical animals to the Weasley Twins, so his learning progress during this time has been good.

His family's approval will also increase, and perhaps in a while, they will send more valuable books and notes. He wondered what kind of magic knowledge they would be about?

"Ahem, about that, Lucien, are you, tutoring Ron's homework?"

Hermione finally couldn't help but ask. She had wanted to ask for a long time, and today's incident had shocked her again.

Lucien had no intention of hiding this.

On the contrary, he was a little puzzled as to why Hermione was only asking now. Given the girl's personality, she should have noticed much earlier.

Perhaps Harry and Ron had less interaction with Hermione during this period?

It seemed, in the original story, the relationship between these three children truly improved after...

Never mind, he had already changed some things anyway. This should just be a small matter and wouldn't have any major impact.

"Yes, that's right."

Lucien's direct admission caught Hermione off guard. After a few seconds, she looked at Harry again,

"Then Harry, his Potion skills have improved a lot recently, is that also because of you?"

Lucien nodded.

Seeing this, Hermione bit her lip, wanting to say something but hesitating.

As they were about to part ways to their respective House common rooms, Hermione finally whispered:

"Then I, can I learn from you?"

"What do you want to learn? You shouldn't have any weaknesses, should you?"

"I want to learn everything!"

Lucien wasn't surprised by this answer.

Hmm, it perfectly fit Miss Know-It-All's academic persona.

Although herding two sheep is herding, herding three sheep is also herding.

But he also had to charge tuition fees; he couldn't show favoritism. Knowledge is equal.

However, now that he had the Shapeshifting Flesh Golem, the next stage of Transfiguration learning could be put on the agenda.

Living to inanimate, living to living, and finally Animagus.

He would get busier and busier. If someone could help him save some time...

Lucien looked at Hermione and chuckled softly,

"Can you grade homework?"

...

Somewhere in the Castle.

Snape limped over, seeing Dumbledore and the other Professors already there.

His tone was cold yet tinged with a tremor, as if he was trying to suppress some pain,

"Why the sudden summons? Aren't we still looking for the invading Troll?"

As he spoke, Snape glanced at Quirrell, a flicker of wariness and disgust in his eyes.

Dumbledore stroked the white beard on his chest,

"Thank you all for your hard work tonight, but there's no need to search anymore. Please go back and rest."

He paused, Dumbledore's tone slightly peculiar,

"Uh, the Troll, the Troll has already left the Castle."

Hearing this, the Professors were somewhat incredulous, finding it hard to believe that such a foolish and savage monster would obediently leave on its own.

"Left? Really? It wasn't hidden somewhere by someone, was it?"

Snape said gloomily, clearly implying something.

But Dumbledore seemed not to hear Snape's insinuation that Quirrell was problematic. He simply cleared his throat,

"Ahem, I am quite certain of this. Mr. Nearly Headless Nick told me he personally saw the Troll leave."

A gray, translucent figure floated out of the wall. It was the ghost: Nearly Headless Nick.

He propped up his almost-slipping head, looked at Dumbledore, and only spoke after receiving a nod from him:

"Yes, that Troll, um, has already left Hogwarts and will not harm the children."

The Professors nodded. The portraits and ghosts in the Castle served the Principal; they would never deceive Dumbledore, nor did they have any reason to, as it concerned the safety of the young Wizards.

After a brief conversation, the Professors bid farewell and left, all returning to prepare for tomorrow's classes.

Only Dumbledore and the ghost Nick remained.

After a long while, Nick hesitantly said:

"Principal, that young Wizard named Lucien, that monster he created, is it not...?"

Dumbledore pushed up his half-moon spectacles, saying with a wry smile,

"Ah, that boy, always full of surprises, or scares."

...

Slytherin dormitory.

Malfoy lay on his bed, his eyes vacant.

He couldn't remember how he got back to the dorm. Was he dragged back by Greengrass?

Scenes flashed through his mind:

Lucien elegantly casting spells, like a conductor toying with the Troll...

With a flick of his wand, he turned a wooden mallet into a...

A monster!

What kind of bizarre and terrifying thing was that? A creature that shouldn't even exist in the world!

A creature that could easily defeat a Troll, created by Lucien with a casual wave of his hand!

Finally, finally...

A pair of translucent eyeballs reappeared in Malfoy's mind, finally settling there.

Malfoy turned over and buried his head deep in the covers.

He had glanced at the window just now; the sky outside was already faintly lit.

Malfoy then realized that he hadn't slept all night.

And now, it was already the next day.

He, today, was supposed to duel Lucien?
