Chapter 70 - Chapter 70 Vicious Competition

"Alright, Reed, I generally understand your project now. So you don't just want my money, you also want my space station."

Victor interrupted Reed's endless explanation of the project and said expressionlessly, "But, even the Space Administration isn't willing to believe your project will succeed, so why should I believe you?"

Seeing an awkward expression on Reed's face, he immediately laughed, "Just kidding. My talent is to see what others can't and always be one step ahead."

"Oh, I really can't stand this about him."

Ben, who was nearby, saw Victor's pretentious demeanor and wished he could punch him.

Reed quickly consoled him, "It's okay, don't be angry. This is just business, just work."

"He's right, Ben, this is just business."

At this moment, a blonde beauty in a women's business suit walked over from the office doorway, smiling.

"My Head of Genetic Research, Susan Storm, you all know her."

Seeing the blonde beauty, Victor said to Reed and Ben with a hint of pride.

Susan was the recognized goddess of the university at the time, and he also liked Susan, but unfortunately, she later ended up with Reed, that pile of cow dung.

However, not long after graduating from university, the two argued and broke up. He, on the other hand, expanded his company through his intelligence and means, taking the opportunity to invite Susan to become a manager at his company.

During university, he was always overshadowed by Reed, forever the second best, and by a wide margin.

Now he was successful in his career, while Reed was bankrupt and had to ask him for investment. And Reed's girlfriend was now his girlfriend, and he was going to propose to her soon. How could he not be proud?

"Invisible Woman Susan Storm!"

Hearing Victor call out the blonde beauty's name, Hawking's eyes narrowed.

He didn't pay much attention to Invisible Woman; her strength was decent but nothing special. She could become invisible and control energy force fields, but she didn't have any powerful offensive capabilities.

What he truly valued was Invisible Woman's son, Franklin, the strongest Mutant known as "Powerhouse," the strongest elementary school student in the Marvel Universe.

Franklin was a born Level 5 Mutant, possessing powerful abilities such as time travel, manipulation of time, space, causality, reality alteration, and Universe creation.

According to what he learned from short videos, Franklin, as a child, had seemingly defeated the powerful Hell Lord Mephisto, and would casually create a pocket Universe while playing in bed.

He estimated that once he fully mastered his abilities as an adult, he would likely be a Multiverse-level existence.

If Invisible Woman had brought her son to the scene when Wanda invaded, it would be hard to say who would win or lose.

"How about, I take her down!"

At this moment, a thought suddenly arose in Hawking's mind, but he quickly dismissed it.

Franklin's uniqueness lay in the fact that no matter which Universe, no matter who Invisible Woman married, even Doctor Doom, or even another woman, the child born would always be Franklin.

In other words, if he were shameless enough to marry Invisible Woman, the son born in the future would also be Franklin, and he would have a Multiverse-level son.

But on second thought, if anyone who married Invisible Woman would give birth to Franklin, then would Franklin still be his son? Would he still have a bloodline connection to him?

Furthermore, marrying a stranger for such a reason did not align with his views on love.

If he had come to the Marvel Universe without any cheat codes, doing so to save his life would be understandable.

But now he had a protagonist template, and his strength was constantly improving. If things developed well, perhaps in ten or twenty years, he could even transform into Super Saiyan 4, and with other bloodline enhancements, his strength might not be inferior to a Multiverse-level being.

Also, Franklin didn't seem to care who his father was, or whether his father lived or died; he only cared about his mother.

"How about, I introduce her to Pietro? He likes older women anyway."

At this moment, Hawking suddenly thought of his younger brother, Quicksilver. She could also be a sister-in-law, and then Franklin would be his nephew.

However, he considered that Quicksilver was only fourteen, while Invisible Woman looked twenty-five or twenty-six. The age gap was quite significant.

Shadowcat might be considered a "woman three years older brings a golden brick," but Invisible Woman was ten years older. Quicksilver might accept it, but Elena and Oleg probably wouldn't.

"Forget it, let nature take its course!"

After thinking for a moment, Hawking quickly cleared these distracting thoughts.

Engaging in these unorthodox methods was not as good as diligently improving his own strength. His own strength being strong was truly strong; everything else was false.

After some small talk between the old classmates, to ease the awkwardness, Reed quickly got to the point:

"Victor, if you're willing to support my plan, I'll give you a reasonable commission from all the final profits!"

However, upon hearing Reed's words, Victor first showed a hint of sarcasm, then a look of complete confidence:

"Seventy-five percent of the profits will all go to me, and I also want all the patent rights. The remaining twenty-five percent is yours.

Believe me, no one else in this World would take such a big risk to invest in your project like I would, and that twenty-five percent is enough for you to pay off the fourth mortgage installment on the Baxter Building.

There will probably be plenty left over for you to revitalize your bankrupt company."

He was certain that Reed had no other choice but to come to him, so he had Reed cornered.

Ben, on the other hand, glared angrily at Victor:

"Victor, your terms are too much!"

"It is a bit much. In that case, I only want seventy percent of the profits and all patent rights."

At this moment, Hawking, who had been silent, spoke up.

"Who are you? What right do you have to compete with me!"

Hearing Hawking's words, Victor's expression immediately changed, and he turned to look at Hawking.

And this time, Hawking formally introduced himself:

"Hawking, Chairman of Hero Alliance International Company. I also highly value Mr. Reed's project, but Mr. Reed said he had an appointment with you first, so I came along."

"You? Chairman of Hero Alliance International Company?"

Similarly, looking at Hawking's impossibly young face, Victor was full of disbelief.

"Reed, I never thought you'd play tricks, deliberately finding a shill to help you negotiate terms with me, I'm telling you—"

But before he could finish his sentence, he froze in place, because Hawking had already put on his golden armor and was floating in mid-air.

However, his reaction was also very fast. His expression quickly changed, and he laughed as he looked at Reed and said:

"Reed, for old times' sake, sixty percent, and the patent rights are mine!"

"Fifty percent, and the patent rights are mine."

Hawking returned to his original state, a faint smile on his face.

"Forty percent, and the patent rights are mine!"

Victor's expression turned ugly.

"Fifty percent, and we share the patent rights."

Hawking's expression remained composed.

Hearing that Hawking was actually willing to share the patent rights, Victor's expression changed drastically. If this continued, he might lose the patent rights entirely soon.

"Mr. Hawking, I think we can discuss this separately, without this disgusting competition."
