Chapter 63 - Chapter 63 Talking about a Business

"Send you to prison? Of course not, I'm not the Police. I just want to discuss a business deal with you."

Hawking, holding Green Goblin, revealed a "kind" smile.

Green Goblin: "????"

Are you sick? If you want to talk business, just talk business. Why make such a big fuss? He was so scared his soul almost flew away.

"Let's go back to your Villa first!"

Holding Green Goblin, Hawking stepped on his kinto'un and flew back at full speed to Green Goblin's Villa. But before leaving, he gave a meaningful look at the sky.

At the same time, in the Director's office at the Triskelion.

Nick Fury also watched the video with a solemn expression, seeing Hawking fly away with Green Goblin.

"This guy's strength is truly becoming more and more terrifying!"

How could he not pay attention to a terrifying Mutant like Hawking? He had been secretly monitoring him in various ways.

This included Peter Parker, who had been bitten by a spider and whom he had contacted, and Jessica Campbell, who seemed to have flying abilities and whom he had just contacted, as well as the chairman of Osborn Industries.

However, Hawking had always been fighting crime and had not violated the agreement he made with Professor X, so he had no reason to interfere.

"Is he really looking for some friends with special abilities to play a game of fighting criminals?"

Rubbing his chin, Nick Fury fell into deep thought.

He always felt that this matter was not so simple, but he couldn't think of any other purpose for Hawking, or rather, Professor X.

After all, up until now, apart from Hawking, the other Mutants at the Mutant School had been very quiet, just like before. Only Professor X buying the Daily Bugle felt a little strange.

"Forget it, even if they make a move, it probably won't pose a danger to humans."

If he couldn't figure it out, he wouldn't think about it. At least, according to his judgment, even if Hawking and Professor X had some special purpose, it should be to allow humans and Mutants to get along better, and there wouldn't be any terrible consequences.

His main focus now was still on the Brotherhood of Mutants, which could cause problems at any time, and on internal self-inspection.

Magneto would certainly stir up trouble if he found an opportunity, and he estimated it wouldn't be a small matter. The S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents being infiltrated three years ago had always been a thorn in his side.

He always felt that the matter was not as simple as the investigation suggested. A terrorist organization being able to so easily subvert Agents trained by the S.H.I.E.L.D. School was unacceptable to him.

Even if the investigation process had no problems, and even seemed perfect.

But the more perfect it was, the more he felt there was a problem.

And if there really was a problem, it would absolutely be a huge problem, because if the investigation results could be presented so perfectly, it meant that there must have been a problem with the entire S.H.I.E.L.D. high command.

So for the past three years, he had been carefully conducting self-inspections and had already found some clues.

"Director, the experimental results are out."

Just as he was thinking, Agent Hill knocked on the door and entered.

"How is it?"

His attention immediately shifted to Agent Hill's report.

Hill began to report, holding a laptop:

"We have now developed an antidote that can make Mutants lose their abilities, and we have also created a matching non-metallic launch gun.

However, our experiments show that this antidote cannot truly make Mutants completely lose their abilities and become human. It only lasts for one week, and resistance develops with repeated use.

Once used more than three times, it basically becomes ineffective."

"Continue the research. Since we cannot completely eliminate Mutant abilities, try to see if we can create relevant inhibitors.

At the very least, I need to ensure that after capturing Mutants, we can restrict their use of abilities for a long time."

Nick Fury nodded and commanded.

Powers beyond his control must have corresponding restraints; otherwise, when the day of losing control arrives, it will be too late.

Above the luxurious Villa of the Osborn family in Queens.

Hawking placed Green Goblin on the ground, then with a flick of his hand, several Repairing Spells restored the Villa's iron gate and fountain to their original state.

A stick and a carrot. He had just given the stick, and now it was naturally time for the carrot.

Otherwise, even if they cooperated, Green Goblin would only resent him, and it would be difficult for the cooperation to last.

And watching Hawking repair the iron gate and fountain with an incredible gesture, Green Goblin couldn't help but swallow again.

This guy was not only terrifyingly strong but also had an astonishing array of methods, as if he were omnipotent. Green Goblin truly couldn't gauge his depth at all.

He couldn't win a fight, and he couldn't run away. Now he could only hope that the "business" the other party talked about wouldn't be too outrageous.

"Don't be nervous, Mr. Norman. What I value most is the principle of equivalent exchange, and I never like to force others.

If you feel that the cooperation we are about to discuss is not beneficial to you, or if you are unwilling, then I will absolutely not force you with violence. You can rest assured of that."

In the Villa's living room, Hawking smiled as he looked at Green Goblin, who had changed back into his suit and had a very unnatural expression.

Green Goblin forced a smile upon hearing this:

"Of course I believe Mr. Hawking. May I know what business Mr. Hawking is referring to?"

He said he believed him, but in his heart, he didn't believe it at all. The big explosion in the sea earlier was still vivid in his memory.

Hawking didn't explain anything further. Instead, he directly said:

"I need to start a company. In the early stages, I need your help to handle all the procedures. Subsequently, I will cooperate with your Osborn Industries to jointly develop various products, and then we will cooperate to make money together.

Believe me, this cooperation will surely take your Osborn Industries to a new height!"

The establishment of the Hero Alliance Company could not be handled by Professor X; otherwise, it would become like the Daily Bugle, becoming Professor X's property.

As for how to explain it to Professor X after the company was established, he had already prepared a suitable excuse.

In fact, he was no longer what he used to be. With his combat power, even if he completely broke away from Professor X, he could still live very comfortably.

So, some things, even if Professor X really knew about them, wouldn't be a big deal.

Just like when he killed Stryker, he believed Professor X knew. Professor X couldn't read his mind, but that didn't mean he couldn't read Mystique's mind.

Some things could be overlooked. As long as he didn't go too far, given his importance and his consistent actions that benefited Mutants, Professor X would not actively push him to the opposite side.

Take Wolverine, for example. Wolverine had killed many people and rarely held back, but he was still accepted by Professor X.

Because those were minor issues that didn't cross the line.

Of course, he was not someone who would burn bridges. As long as Professor X didn't go too far, he still wanted to maintain the current harmonious relationship.

"Mr. Hawking. The former is not a problem; I can handle all of it personally for you.

But for the latter, I cannot decide alone; it requires a board vote."

Green Goblin's expression stiffened upon hearing this, then he carefully replied, fearing that he would anger Hawking and be killed on the spot.
