Chapter 7 - Genetic Medicine III

[Due to the Host's influence, the high-ranking officials of the Xia Kingdom gained foreknowledge of the impending Meteorite Crisis. Moving with decisive speed, they constructed a massive network of defensive bunkers. Though this sparked nationwide confusion, it would become the ultimate sanctuary for the people of Xia.]

[Even before the impact, Genetic Medicine Type I was successfully developed and distributed. A formidable army of Genetic Warriors was born.]

As the System's narration echoed, the world's timeline accelerated violently. Across the Xia Kingdom, colossal underground fortresses rose at a pace visible to the naked eye. Massive quantities of resources and millions of citizens were funneled into these depths, triggering global panic.

"Damn it! Highest-level underground fortresses? Is Xia planning to start a World War?!" "I heard from a relative the materials they're using are the highest grade possible. No corners cut. The country is preparing for something big!" "None of that matters! Dads, please, just give me a link to get into a bunker!"

The storms of public dispute were suppressed by absolute national power. Every top-tier scientist and elite talent was recalled to the Xia Kingdom under a mandatory summons, placed under the highest level of protection within the fortresses.

In just one week, "Huang" was discovered.

After consuming Genetic Potion Type I, Huang's strength surged to the pinnacle of humanity. He didn't just grow stronger; he pioneered a basic warrior training method and disseminated it throughout the Xia military.

"This Huang is interesting," Jiang Yi remarked, observing from a higher dimension. "He feels like a 'Child of Destiny' template. I should keep an eye on him."

Jiang Yi marveled at the anomaly. Huang was a one in a billion genius who matched the meteorite virus perfectly, turning a mere biological mutation into a structured power system. If nurtured, Huang could become the trendsetter of the entire Evolution Frenzy era, providing Jiang Yi with endless deduction rewards.

[As the Host observed, the mutation occurred.]

The meteorites arrived exactly as predicted, tearing through the space surrounding the Blue Star. Despite Xia's preemptive strikes, the descent was unstoppable.

The virus-laden rocks slammed into mountains, plunged into the deep sea, and shattered city skylines. The terrifying kinetic energy unleashed shockwaves that ravaged the planet, releasing immeasurable amounts of the "Evolutionary Virus."

Jiang Yi walked through the world like a ghost, watching as animals and plants mutated at high speeds. The oceans were the most chaotic; millions of marine creatures, infected by the virus, engaged in a feral frenzy. Twisted sperm whales, mutated giant squids, and deep-sea serpents of impossible proportions began to claim the depths.

Inside the Xia Kingdom, the "Sophisticated Machine" of the state hummed with efficiency. Most of the population was safe.

[A massive force of Genetic Warriors was deployed. Combining cold steel with high-tech firearms, they dealt a devastating blow to land creatures before they could fully evolve, driving the beasts back into the mountains and forests.]

[One month later: To harvest the corpses of powerful beasts, Genetic Potion Type II was developed. To prevent oceanic beasts from infiltrating inland via rivers, the warrior troops led by Huang himself guarded the estuaries.]

"Smart. Using thermal weapons to cripple the beasts before they peak," Jiang Yi mused as he stood invisibly at a seaport. He watched the churning waters below, where monstrous shadows lurked. With current technology, the Xia Kingdom could only suppress land beasts. The ocean was a different story, and many of those creatures were already evolving the capacity to fly.

Jiang Yi looked at the young man at the front of the estuary. Huang stood there, sword in hand. When he swung his blade, the sheer pressure of the air tore through the waves, shredding beasts. Yet, compared to the true terrors emerging from the deep sea, even Huang's strength seemed insufficient.

[Due to the overwhelming number of oceanic beasts, the Xia warrior troops were forced into a strategic retreat. However, the beast corpses they brought back provided the ultimate research material.]

[One year passed. With its scientists preserved and a steady supply of specimens, the Xia Kingdom perfected Genetic Potion Type II. In that same year, the Sakura Kingdom was completely annihilated by the sea.]

[Warriors powered by Type II medicine once again suppressed the high-speed evolution of the beasts. But elsewhere, the rest of the world teetered on the brink of extinction.]

Jiang Yi looked up. At some point, "stars" had begun to glow in the atmosphere cold, magnificent, and dangerous.

[The nuclear-armed nations, led by the United States, went completely insane. They launched a massive nuclear barrage at the highest density beast zones. The plan succeeded in vaporizing millions of monsters but the survivors absorbed the radiation, accelerating their evolution to a horrific degree.]

The scene before Jiang Yi shifted. On the nuclear-scorched wastelands, monsters with twisted, terrifying forms began to crawl out of the craters. Their auras were violent and suffocating.

Jiang Yi frowned. If the evolution had remained natural, Xia could have handled it. But these radiation-boosted monstrosities were a different variable entirely.

[Two years later, every nation except for the Xia Kingdom was destroyed. Legions of powerful beasts instinctively swarmed toward the last bastion of humanity: Xia. Casualties among the warriors began to skyrocket.]

[Fortunately, these radiation eroded beasts provided the breakthrough Xia's scientists needed. Genetic Potion Type III has been successfully developed!]
