FUCK!! I'M GONNA BE TURNED INTO A MINE! I'M GONNA BE TURNED INTO A CULTIVATION RESOURCE MINE AREN'T I?!!
Despite his inner turmoil, Huang Shi was able to keep a straight face; after all, if there was anything he was known for, it was his ability to keep calm under intense pressure.
After all, if he couldn't even control what he felt on the inside, how could he possibly be able to conquer all those difficult women in his past life?
Alright, calm down. I need to calm down. It's not like I haven't been in this sort of situation before.
When I got caught by one of my exes on her bed with another woman, I was still able to finesse my way into a threesome rather than having my little brother cut off and becoming a eunuch.
Huang Shi let out a soft internal breath before putting on his straight face. Instead of answering her question directly, he looked deeply into her eyes with a stoic expression and spoke in a calm manner.
"What? Could it be that only you can have a Heavenly Physique in this world?"
This time, it was Bai Xinyue's turn to be tongue-tied as she started to wonder how much information this person had. She tightened her grip on her silver bamboo sword, raising it to point straight at him, and spoke with narrowed eyes.
"Huang Shi! From all of my observations of you thus far and all the information that my spies have gathered and sent to me, I have come to a few simple conclusions about you."
Bai Xinyue's tone became calm and regal as she once again regained that aura—the one that basically screamed at you that she was a superior and that you were just an ant on the ground, able to be killed at any time.
"First, for all 18 years of your life, you have been nothing but a waste. You are spoiled, vindictive, lazy, and have nothing in that head of yours except for both wine and women; and even then, from what I've heard, you are not good at that thing either."
Huang Shi remained quiet, his heart starting to beat faster inside of his chest.
"Second, you had no interest in cultivation at all. In fact, from what I've heard, you had no cultivation base to speak of up until recently. This means that all of your accomplishments thus far have been achieved in basically the last few weeks at most."
Although Huang Shi still tried his best to remain calm and composed, the slight sweat dripping down from his forehead was a clear sign that he was anything but.
WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THIS WOMAN!! WHY THE HELL DOES SHE KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT ME!! I AM SO SCREWED!!
Bai Xinyue, seeing that Huang Shi had still chosen not to say anything, once again tightened the grip she had on her silver bamboo sword.
A silvery-white sheen appeared on top of it; in fact, just staring at the spiritual energy on it was enough for his eyes to squint from a bit of pain.
"Lastly, from what I know about you, you had no love or care for anyone around you except your step-mother. But even that care had its limits, as from what I've heard, you were previously prone to screaming at her whenever she did not let things go your way, or you outright ignored her when she tried to curb your disgusting vices."
Huang Shi finally couldn't hold himself back as he spoke in a calm tone. Even he knew he was in a dangerous situation; he could feel his voice tremble in a nervous fit.
Yet, despite this, his eyes started to shine with a terrifying light. The pride embedded deep in his bones as a proud transmigrator from Earth started to simmer through.
FUCK IT! SO WHAT IF YOU ARE THE PROTAGONIST?! WHO CARES ABOUT SOME DAMN PROTAGONIST!! I'M A FUCKING TRANSMIGRATOR!! I HAVE A FUCKING SYSTEM! UNLESS YOU ARE SOME SORT OF GOD IN THE FLESH, NO ONE CAN MATCH MY TALENT!
With these words roaring inside his heart, Huang Shi finally completely calmed down. His expression turned neutral, like a dead fish, as his golden eyes narrowed.
"Alright, Bai Xinyue, enough with your monologues. What is it you are trying to say?"
Bai Xinyue was a bit surprised that Huang Shi was still able to forcefully calm himself down in the midst of her interrogation.
She knew for herself that she had orchestrated this entire situation to ensure Huang Shi felt the maximum amount of mental pressure, to increase the chances that he would tell her the truth about his situation.
This person is definitely dangerous… should I get rid of him?
A piercing killing intent suddenly erupted from Bai Xinyue's eyes as the silvery-white sheen on top of her bamboo sword started to howl with a terrifying pressure. Bai Xinyue kept quiet for a few seconds before opening her mouth and speaking with a hint of ice-cold killing intent in her voice.
"Who are you? What is your true identity? The way you act right now, and the person who was previously Huang Shi, are too different…"
Bai Xinyue let the words hang in the air before continuing.
"What is your goal for this world? No, what is your goal for this universe? Are you an enemy? Or are you an ally?"
If Huang Shi was previously confident in his ability to navigate this discussion at the beginning, it was already dreadfully clear at this point that he was not.
The information gap between him and Bai Xinyue was too huge; she basically knew everything about him at this point, while he didn't know anything about her. In fact, the conversation had gotten so out of hand that Bai Xinyue was talking about things he didn't even understand.
What the fuck? Universe? What the hell does that even mean? This is just a lowly lower realm, a mortal world! Why the fuck would this involve the universe, god damn it
