I was still staring at the file.
It sat on my desk like it had grown roots there, unmoving, heavy in a way paper shouldn't be. The gold lettering on the cover caught the light from the window, glinting every time I shifted, like it was trying to remind me it existed. Like it was waiting.
Two days.
That was what Draven said.
