Ye Jun found himself in the body of a soldier. Wearing heavy armor and having a spear in hand gave him an illusion of power, but he knew instinctively that this wasn't real.
He had experienced changing bodies once before already. This wasn't the same and gave him the feeling that he was watching something rather than living it.
'Phew! I thought I died again,' Ye Jun wiped his forehead and calmed down. Then he looked around and assessed the situation. Fortunately, he was isolated at the moment, so he had time.
The first thought that came to his mind after seeing his surroundings was...
"I'm in the middle of a war?"
Or at least it seemed that way.
He was currently standing on a plateau, wearing deep grey robes under his armor. Many people stood around him in a similar fashion, numbering in thousands.
All of them wore solemn expressions as they looked beyond the plateau. Was it fear that he sensed from them? A pure despair?
