Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Pointing the Sword at King's Landing

"blood of my blood, it's too far away, and he's moving too fast to hit easily. There's also a risk of hitting Rhaegal or Viserion." Ago wasn't confident.

"Then what should we do? By the way, where is Drogon? Where did he go?" Drogon was much more powerful than Rhaegal and the other; if he were here, he could definitely beat that little guy.

"Drogon was still sleeping in the cabin this morning. I just saw the door open, so he might have gone out again!" the little maid Jeyne said from the side.

Daenerys knew Drogon liked to wander, but right now he was the only one who could help the two dragons. His absence left her feeling a bit lost.

"Quickly, have someone look for Drogon." Jorah also came to the deck and spoke to Jeyne. Although he knew the possibility of Drogon being on the ship was very slim, they had to check.

"blood of my blood, that little guy seems to be Drogon."

The three dragons had been fighting for a while, and their altitude had dropped significantly. Ago could barely make out Drogon's crimson wings.

"Drogon?" Daenerys looked at Ago in surprise, her meaning clear, as if saying, 'What's wrong with your eyes? Drogon is much larger than Rhaegal and the others. Now you're telling me that tiny thing is Drogon?'

Before she could scold Ago, Daenerys saw a faint red light under the sunlight; it was the reflection from Drogon's wings.

"It really might be Drogon, but how did he get smaller? I've never heard my brother say that dragons can shrink after they grow up."

"But only Drogon could beat Rhaegal and the other like this. There are no other dragons in the world. Even if there were, it would be impossible for one so small to take on two dragons so much larger than itself."

Daenerys was filled with questions. The fight between the three dragons in the sky was nearing its end. After their initial anger, Rhaegal and Viserion gradually realized that the little one was indeed Drogon.

His level of shamelessness was exactly the same, and his power was just as formidable. Who else could it be but him? Even if their little brains couldn't comprehend why Drogon had shrunk.

Seeing the two dragons gradually losing their will to fight after being bullied by him, Drogon finally stopped. However, he didn't land immediately. Instead, he flew towards the cabin where he stayed. Only after entering did he use his transformation again to return to his full size.

Before he could even step out of the cabin, Daenerys ran in and asked urgently, "Drogon, that was you just now, wasn't it?"

[Just giving them a little lesson.] Drogon nodded.

"You scared me to death!" Daenerys ignored the bloodstains on Drogon and threw her arms around his neck.

After comforting the Dragon Mother for a while, Drogon slowly walked out of the cabin and lay down on the deck by the door. He turned to look at Daenerys, then glanced at his back.

Seeing Drogon's strange movements, Daenerys's confusion turned into pleasant surprise. "You're letting me ride on your back?" Seeing Drogon nod, she excitedly and carefully gripped his sharp neck spines, swung her leg over, and climbed onto the dragon's back, sitting on the hard scales.

The backside Daenerys had developed from long-term horse riding played a big role now. Although the dragon's back was a bit uncomfortable, it was within her range of tolerance.

She had thought it would take another two or three years before she could fly on a dragon. She hadn't expected Drogon to give her such a huge surprise.

Rhaegal and Viserion were only the size of sheep at this time, while Drogon was already more than three times their size, as big as an adult horse, and he could even carry her.

She understood that for the same size, running on the ground and flying in the sky were completely different. The larger the size, the harder it was to take off, let alone with a person on top.

A normal dragon of this size certainly couldn't carry a person in flight, but Drogon had physical capabilities several times stronger than theirs. He could have carried the Dragon Mother two days Ago, but his size was a bit small then, and he feared she wouldn't be able to sit steadily.

He had also wondered about his growth rate. The original Drogon ate more and was larger than the other two, but the gap wasn't this massive. He could only attribute this to the mutation of his Devour ability.

Seeing the Dragon Mother sitting steadily, Drogon slowly stood up, spread his massive wings, and pushed off the deck with his claws. As he neared the edge, he flapped his wings powerfully, soaring into the air with Daenerys.

Sitting on the dragon's back, Daenerys felt the nervousness she had when she first rode a young mare, fearing she wouldn't be able to control the dragon.

However, her worries were clearly unnecessary. Drogon's flight was exceptionally stable; even when encountering air currents, he could keep her balanced.

As soon as Drogon took off with the Dragon Mother, they were spotted by the crew. They stared wide-eyed in a daze for a moment before rushing into the cabins to call their companions to witness the birth of the first dragonrider in hundreds of years.

Once Daenerys had mastered some dragon-riding techniques, Drogon slowly began to accelerate, turn, and dive. This scared Daenerys into gripping his neck spines tightly, and the intense feeling of weightlessness made her scream out loud.

As they approached the surface of the sea, Drogon lifted his wings slightly. The dragon and rider skimmed across the water at high speed, kicking up huge ripples. Daenerys shouted with excitement, the mist from the ripples blurring her beautiful face.

At this moment, she had long forgotten the various unpleasantries of Qarth, forgotten her fears, and laid down the dignity of a Khal Drogo of the grasslands. She completely released herself, enjoying the joy of flight to her heart's content.

This was how a young girl should be. Hearing the Dragon Mother's excited shouts, a hint of doting affection rose in Drogon's heart.

Flying back into the sky from the water's surface, Rhaegal and Viserion also joined them, like two guards flanking them on either side.

Seeing the two dragons that had just been fighting, the crowd on the deck finally remembered the tiny thing that had been fighting them earlier and began to gossip incessantly.

Some well-informed people told them that the tiny thing was actually the transformed Drogon whom Daenerys was riding. This felt incredibly unbelievable to them; they had never heard of a grown dragon being able to shrink, so some remained skeptical.

Drogon flew Daenerys around for a few more laps, letting her have her fill of excitement before slowly landing on the deck.

"Your Majesty!"

Jorah knelt on one knee and shouted loudly.

"Your Majesty..."

Daenerys's three Bloodriders followed suit.

"Your Majesty..."

The crew, sailors, and pirates on the sea followed as well.

Previously, although Daenerys was the Mother of Dragons, the dragons were young and their nature was wild and untamable; it was unknown whether she could control their power. But now, she rode a giant dragon through the sky, becoming a true Dragonrider. The title of Queen was now well-deserved.

Looking at the kneeling crowd, Daenerys was incredibly moved. Her dragons had grown, and she possessed six large ships. She believed she would gradually grow stronger until one day she crossed the Narrow Sea and pointed her sword at King's Landing, reclaimed the iron throne, and restored the former glory of the Targaryen House of the Dragon!
