Once the village
Once, in a small village at the edge of a desert, there lived a boy named Aarin who collected broken things. Cracked pots, bent spoons, torn kites—if it was damaged, Aarin kept it. The villagers laughed and said, "Why keep what no longer works?"
One night, a fierce sandstorm swept through the village. Roofs collapsed, lamps shattered, and by morning many families had nothing left to use. Aarin quietly opened his shed and began working. From broken pots he made water holders, from bent spoons he shaped tools, and from torn kites he stitched coverings. One by one, villagers came to him, and one by one, he helped them rebuild.
When the storm passed and life returned to normal, the villagers stopped laughing. They asked Aarin why he cared so much about broken things.
