Chapter 3 - Reporting to Ninja School - Year 42

After testing the demon refining pot, Uchiha Hara didn't do anything extra, mainly because his body was too weak. Even after absorbing a blood essence, he still felt a sense of powerlessness.

Especially the mouse's life imprint carried by the blood essence gave him a feeling of indigestion.

So, Uchiha Hara chose the most suitable activity for digestion and mental recovery: sleep.

The night passed quickly.

The next morning, accompanied by a rooster's crow from who knows where, Uchiha Hara opened his eyes.

At this moment, he felt that both his body and spirit were much better than before.

The influence of the mouse's life imprint in the blood essence had also become negligible, indicating that it had indeed been mostly digested.

Coming to the mirror, Uchiha Hara looked at the pair of "Short-sighted" eyes in the mirror, which held a hint of dullness and timidity, and nodded with satisfaction.

If last night this posture still had an element of acting, then after thoroughly digesting the mouse's life imprint, this posture became his instinct.

"Not bad, this is more like an innocent, somewhat timid five-year-old child."

He moved his body. The blood essence (mouse) he consumed last night had an extraordinary effect, not only dispelling most of the weakness but also making his body feel much lighter and more powerful.

Movements that previously required strenuous effort were now much smoother.

Moreover, its function didn't stop there. Uchiha Hara felt that his eyesight, hearing, and observational skills had all significantly improved.

Considering that mice are nocturnal creatures, absorbing a mouse's life imprint to enhance one's sensory abilities seemed quite normal, didn't it?

"In that case, I can absorb more mouse blood essence to enhance my sensory perception!"

In the Ninja World, sensory perception is very important, after all, everyone uses hidden weapons.

"However, too obvious an effect is not a good thing; I need to hold back." He deliberately slowed his movements, even bending slightly, adopting a posture of being "outwardly strong but inwardly weak," forcing himself to appear energetic.

Pushing open the slightly drafty wooden door, the morning sun poured in, bringing with it the unique vitality and bustle of Konoha Village.

There were already many pedestrians on the street; Ninja hurried along, and ordinary villagers began their day's work.

Uchiha Hara walked with his head down, following the route from his memory towards the Ninja Academy.

He deliberately walked by the roadside, avoiding crowds, and tried to minimize his presence. This wasn't overacting but rather the instinct of a timid person.

At the same time, he also discovered another ability of his Short-sightedness: he could observe the world with his peripheral vision without turning his eyes.

With this ability, he could quietly and quickly scan everything around him with his "Short-sighted" gaze, silently memorizing roads, buildings, and pedestrian features without attracting attention.

This was both a way to familiarize himself with the environment and a basic quality for an undercover agent.

"This is Konoha..." He sighed inwardly, but his face remained innocent and somewhat sickly.

At this time, the Uchiha Clan compound was still in the center of the Village, and the Ninja Academy was only a few minutes' walk from the compound.

But even with just a few minutes of observation, Uchiha Hara had keenly sensed the Uchiha Clan's unpopularity.

Many villagers, upon seeing Uchiha Hara for the first time, would stop because of the child's cute appearance, but with just a second glance, upon noticing the Uchiha fan emblem on Uchiha Hara, the affection on their faces would instantly turn into disdain and disgust.

A few rude ones would even curse under their breath: "Damn Uchiha..." "Living in such an environment, it's hard for people not to become twisted!" Uchiha Hara sighed inwardly, recalling a meme from his previous life.

You send people to monitor them every day, they get cursed at even when walking on the street, and when they can't take it anymore and want to rebel, you step out and say: "Oh, how can you rebel? How can you be so radical?"

The Uchiha Clan was indeed quite tragic, a fighting clan, yet they were tormented to death, managed to death... Soon, a rather imposing building appeared before his eyes. Many children coming to register and their accompanying parents had already gathered at the entrance, bustling with activity.

Uchiha Hara generally observed this school and felt that it was not as well-built as the elementary school in his own Village.

However, the Ninja Academy's area was truly vast; not only was there a super large playground in front, but there was also a training ground covered with trees behind the classrooms.

Furthermore, Uchiha Hara knew that there was a shelter under the Hokage Rock on the side of the teaching building.

This was ultimately a place to train assassins; the teaching building might not be luxurious, but the training grounds absolutely could not be subpar.

He silently squeezed through the crowd, got the registration form, filled in his personal information, and submitted it. The Chunin immediately assigned Uchiha Hara to a class.

Class 1-A.

Then the Chunin pointed Uchiha Hara to the gathering spot for Class 1-A students, a small plaza under a podium where five rows of students were already standing.

Uchiha Hara went over and asked, confirming that the first grade had five classes, A, B, C, D, and E, with about 20 students in each class. They weren't going to the classrooms yet because Hokage-sama was coming to give a speech later.

Uchiha Hara joined the Class A queue and first looked at his classmates, realizing he didn't recognize any of them.

When people from a 2D world switch to a 3D world, unless their features are particularly distinct, it's genuinely hard to tell who's who.

He did, however, spot a Hyuga, wearing a ribbon on her head and with a pair of white eyes, looking somewhat terrifying. It was no wonder some children in the Village called Hinata a monster; those eyes were indeed a bit scary.

As he joined the line, a small chubby boy stood next to him, holding food. Seeing Uchiha Hara approach, he even offered him some snacks.

Uchiha Hara wasn't shy; he hadn't eaten breakfast yet.

He grabbed a handful from the paper bag, and it was clear the chubby boy felt a pang of regret but didn't stop him.

"The Akimichi Clan has good character, they're reliable!" Uchiha Hara recalled that the Akimichi Clan had always displayed a relatively upright and honest image, and in various fanfictions, they were rarely portrayed as villains.

This showed that the Akimichi Clan's character was well-regarded even among fanfiction authors.

"What's your name?" Uchiha Hara asked softly.

"Akimichi Danji!" the chubby boy said. "And you?"

"Uchiha Hara!"

"Oh, from the Uchiha Clan, nice to meet you!" Akimichi Danji nodded, with no strange reaction on his face.

Children's likes and dislikes for a person are basically inherited from adults. Akimichi Danji's attitude towards Uchiha Hara could largely reflect the Akimichi Clan's attitude towards the Uchiha Clan.

Therefore, the Akimichi Clan was indeed reliable; at least, in future battles, encountering an Akimichi would be somewhat reassuring.

If it were someone named Sarutobi or Shimura, that would be another matter.

However, people from these two clans generally wouldn't go to the battlefield anyway.

"Huh?" Uchiha Hara then noticed that the snack in his hand didn't seem to be an ordinary snack; it looked like meat.

He tasted it, and it was indeed meat—roasted lean pork cubes!

Not only did it taste good, but it was also very nutritious. Just this handful was probably enough for Uchiha Hara's daily consumption.

Uchiha Hara couldn't help but move closer to Akimichi Danji. "Danji, I've decided you're my friend."

Even if it was just for free food.

Besides, doesn't the protagonist usually have a chubby friend? I looked around, and this is the only chubby person in the whole class.

"Huh?" While eating, Uchiha Hara suddenly saw a white-haired, masked, dead-eyed person walk over.

"Kakashi?" Uchiha Hara instantly understood the current timeline upon seeing the person.

Konoha Year 42!

If students of this generation didn't skip grades like Kakashi, they would graduate at age 9, be promoted to Chunin at age 11, and then participate in the Third Great Ninja War.

Kurenai Yuhi, Asuma Sarutobi, and Obito were all like this.

Since Uchiha Hara had no intention of being a trailblazer, he would likely follow the same path.

"Speaking of which, Yuhi is also from this generation!" Uchiha Hara immediately looked towards the school entrance. As the saying goes, a Ninja who doesn't marry Yuhi has lived in the Naruto world in vain. Uchiha Hara wasn't a philanderer, but he wasn't exclusive either. Since he had finally transmigrated to the Ninja World, he couldn't let go of the characters he liked.

He couldn't be in the same generation as Yuhi and still let her become a widow, could he?

Sure enough, a moment later, relying on his excellent eyesight, he saw a red-eyed young man leading a red-eyed little girl to the registration desk.

"My eyesight is really good!" In his previous life, Uchiha Hara was near-sighted, with one eye at 1100 degrees and the other at 800 degrees, plus astigmatism. Without glasses, he couldn't distinguish faces beyond five meters.

Now, suddenly discovering such a clear world, he could only say that transmigration was truly wonderful.

He just didn't know if it was because children naturally have good eyesight, or if the Uchiha Clan's eyes were better than ordinary people's.

He silently watched Yuhi finish registering, then she was also assigned to Class A and subsequently walked over alone.

Uchiha Hara was still watching, but suddenly noticed Yuhi looking back, so he quickly averted his gaze and looked towards the podium.

The Hokage had arrived.
