With a boom, they slammed their fist on the golem, creating a small explosion and crater. The golem swung its fist in anger, trying to get rid of them. Peter ducked, while Speedy ran away. As the golem's fist hit the ground, purple crystals sprang out, making them jump to dodge.
"Yo Spidey! Maybe a lil warning with that spider sense of yours will actually help!" Speedy said, as he dodged a purple crystal.
He could see the attack slowly, but for some reason Peter was reacting faster than him.
Peter web zipped to the golem, punching it with his lightning infused fist. Just as he suspected, the punch affected it, not the lightning. So Bio electricity proved to be useless in the fight.
As the golem slammed its fist on the ground again, and the heroes prepared to jump, when Peter's spider senses tingled.
"It's coming from above!" Peter yelled, shooting a web to a nearby tree and pulling himself away from danger. Speedy followed him too, and as soon as they left a heavy rain of purple crystals fell from the sky.
"On God Spidey, I think that golem is laughing at us right now."
"Yeah no joke."
They were correct, because the golem was actually laughing at them because of the way they were expecting the crystals to come from the ground.
"Humans." It said, after it finished laughing.
"That thing just spoke!" Peter yelled, jumping just in time to dodge a crystal. He web the golem's leg and yanked with all his strength lifting the golem up and slamming it on the ground. Speedy's eyes widened as he saw Spidey use his strength for the first time.
"Spidey, hold him off for a while, I need to build up some power."
"What the fu—" but Speedy was already gone.
Peter frowned as he released a barrage of attacks, not giving the golem any chance to retaliate. And this greatly angered the monster, as it released a loud roar, and lots of purple crystal spikes shot out of its body. Peter weaved through the attack, but one grazed his shoulder, drawing some blood. He felt a heavy blow on his stomach, and he flew backwards crashing through some trees. He stood up slowly with a frown, because his spider sense didn't warn him. He dashed forward, cracking the ground in the process. He didn't know what Speedy's plan was, but all he had to do was fight for a few minutes, so he decided to go beyond his usual limits. With a bang, he punched the golem, cracking some of its exoskeleton. He pulled himself closer to the golem with a web line, giving it an upper cut.

He quickly kicked himself away from the golem, and Speedy suddenly appeared and punched the golem, creating a big explosion. The golem flew backwards and crashed with a bang, creating a big crater.
"That was easy." Speedy said, earning a glare from Peter.
The golem slowly stood up, and some part of its exoskeleton fell off as it moved.
Blue blood also came out of its body, and that was genuinely gross. Peter and Speedy exchanged glances, not knowing what to expect from the monster.
"That was fun, but I'm afraid I'll have to end this now." The golem said, as it suddenly disappeared.
"Spider-Man, we could use your spider sense now!" Speedy yelled as he looked round, using his super sight to try and spot any movement around him.
"Well it's one thing to actually sense it, but it's another story when the attack comes faster than I can react!"

Speedy saw the look in Peter's eyes as everything slowed down. He grabbed Peter and ran away, taking them somewhere safe. Right on cue, that region exploded.
Peter gasped as he clutched his head. He looked at Speedy who had a smug grin on his face.
"Saved your ass twice Spidey."
Peter shook his head with a scoff, as he sensed the golem approaching.
"It's coming."
"Yeah I can see it too."
"Huh?"
"I can see it. Can't you?"
"No!"
"Oh well, guess I'm superior then."
"What the hell —never mind, let's just end this fight. I have something to do at home." Peter said, referring to his homework.
"Yeah, me too."
Then they prepared to fight.
"One more thing Spidey, please don't hold back."

Carla walked to the kitchen to drink some water, when she saw her father there, still in his uniform, chugging down a bottle of water.
"Dad?"
"Carla, why aren't you sleeping yet?" He asked her with a little smile.
"I just got up to get some water. Why are you here? I'm your uniform?"
"Sweetie it's nothing, just drink some water and go back to bed."
George sat on his couch, holding his head. He knew what Spider-Man was hinting at. For some reason the government wanted him and the other officers dead. He couldn't think of anything that'll put him in their black book.

Speedy ran as fast as he could, throwing punches at an impossible speed. Peter attacked from behind, attacking the exposed parts of the golem with bio electricity. That seemed to actually work as the golem roared in pain. It slapped Speedy away and slammed Peter to the ground. Using its crystals, it bound the speedster to the ground and turned to face Peter.
"You're troublesome." It said with a growl.
"And you're ugly!" Peter replied, pushing himself up. "Come on crystal bell, let's dance!"
He kicked himself forward and gave the golem a strong blow to its chin. He followed up with a web line to the head, pulling it down and slamming his knee into its face, cracking it in the process. He golem cut the web and grabbed Peter's leg, spinning around and tossing him away. He followed up with a mid flight big slam on the wall crawler's stomach, blasting him to the ground.
"For a fatty you sure move quite (cough, cough) fast. Ouch, there goes my rib." Peter said, struggling to stand. Each time the golem touched him he felt like he was fighting a mountain. He looked at his stomach and noticed that he was bleeding.
"That's odd, why didn't I feel it?"
"Have you finished talking to yourself?" The golem asked with a tinge of boredom in its voice.
"Uhh no, just give me a minute."
Suddenly a hand burst through the golem chest, as Speedy appeared behind it. He pulled his hand out of the monster, as it staggered a little.
"You escaped my little cell huh?" It said, trying to stop the bleeding. "Well, that's your mistake then. Because the thing is, I've been holding back. But now that I'm severely injured, you—" a heavy punch interrupted him.
"Boy you talk too much!" Spider-Man yelled, punching the golem.
Speedy gave him a 'wtf was that for' look before turning to face the golem.
It spat some blood and stood up. The purple crystals and its exoskeleton began to glow and melt. The golem reduced greatly in size, and soon a small purple and Black puddle gathered at its feet.
"Okay, now that's just messed up." Peter said, balling his fist.
"You think?" Speedy asked sarcastically. Soon the giant was reduced in size till it looked like a normal human, though it was still purple.
"This is where you die." It said, flying into the night sky.
Purple crystals rained heavily, and the heroes tried their best to weave and dodge, well Peter tried his best. Speedy just breezed through, running towards the purple villain.
"Yo Crystal! Eat my fist!" Speedy yelled as he jumped up, going higher than a normal human, and punched the villain down.
BOOM!
Peter ran towards the villain as it stood up, and he gave it a flying kick, which blasted it away.
The villain frowned as it floated up. 'I heavily underestimated these humans. Every time I use more power they seem to match me. Excluding my master they are the strongest I've fought in the last 100 years. I guess I better stop lying to myself. I'm being disrespectful to my foes. It's time I actually fight with all my strength.' it thought with a small frown.
Peter's eyes widened as the purple villain suddenly appeared in front of him and punched him with enough force to collapse a building. Sadly, he wasn't pushed back as he hoped, at least that'll give him time to breathe, instead the villain appeared behind him immediately and spartan kicked him into the sky, before appearing above him and finishing it off with some nasty eye lasers, which finally blasted him down. As he was landing, a purple crystal shot out of the ground, welcoming him with a stab.
Peter coughed out some blood, his body dangling on the crystal, his blood slowly changing its color.
"Spidey!!!" Alex yelled, turning towards the floating villain.
'F*ck! I didn't even see him move!' Speedy thought, as he felt a chill run down his spine.
"Ah yes, pardon my forgetfulness. My name is Garvenor the Destroyer." Garvenor introduced itself, before shooting some laser beams towards Speedy, who quickly dodged.
He gasped when he discovered that Garvenor wasn't in the sky anymore. He immediately put his guard up, but it was useless.
The purple villain grabbed him by the throat and floated towards the night sky.
"Let's see how far you can go." It said, going higher and higher.
The cold soon hit Speedy, as they passed through some clouds, making the buildings underneath look like toys.
"Let go..... of me....." Speedy groaned, trying to punch him. His attacks landed, but it didn't even flinch.
'I can't die here! Spider-Man is dead, I can't afford to die too! What'll happen to the city?' Speedy thought, as he soon found it difficult to breathe.
Garvenor frowned when he noticed that Speedy had stopped moving.
"Tch, and I thought they could actually be a challenge. Guess I overestimated them then." With that, he sent Speedy crashing down with a heavy blow to the head.
"Now, what to do....." The purple villain muttered, looking round the dark sky. "I'll just go finish them off."
He flew down, creating a huge shockwave that separated the clouds.

Peter clenched his teeth and punched the crystal till it broke, causing him to crash on the ground. He stood up slowly and pulled out the one that stuck in his stomach, causing blood to rush out.
"Arhhhhhh!" He screamed in pain, falling to his knees. "God damnit!"
Looking round, he didn't see any sign of Speedy or the purple villain.
"What the hell happened?"
He pushed himself up again, looking at his stomach just to see that the bleeding had stopped.
"That was quick."

He immediately ran to his left, catching Speedy. But the force from his fall was so strong that he and Peter crashed.
"Ughhhh..... Speedy..are you okay?" He asked, while grabbing his now aching head.
Speedy didn't reply, he could only twitch his fingers.
"This must be quite tough for you huh? Well I've fought villains like this; Electro, Vulture and the rest. But this is your first time. You don't have to fight anymore though, because this will be over soon, I promise."
Speedy frowned slightly as he wondered what Peter was rambling about. His whole body hurt and he was bleeding from his ears. He was surprised that Peter was alive, and the same dude is now spouting some crap about the fight being over soon.
"We.....will...die..... Spider-Man. He's too (cough) strong."
Peter wasn't listening as he stood up and spread his arms wide.
"You always say I'm weak and powerless. Well, why don't you come out and show me what you can do?"
"WITH PLEASURE." the voice replied. Suddenly, Peter fell on his knees, grabbing his head in pain.
"FEEL THE POWER BOY! THIS IS MY GIFT TO YOU! LET THE INSANITY TAKE OVER! DON'T HOLD YOURSELF BACK!"
"AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Peter screamed in pain. Speedy pushed himself up, and struggled to stand.
"Spider-Man! Spider-Man!!!" He yelled slowly moving towards Peter. Garvenor landed at that moment, causing dust and some rocks to fly everywhere.
"You're alive. Well I guess I didn't overestimate you then." It said, and with a bang shot towards Peter. It threw a punch, but he lazily stepped to the side, dodging it with ease.
"You're quite slow you know." Peter said, punching it in the face. A loud bang followed, it was so loud that Speedy had to cover his ears. Just one punch caused the trees to fly away, making the birds scatter in every direction.
The purple villain was sent flying, crashing at the other side of the forest. With a tired groan, Peter flash-stepped next to him, grabbing its head and lifting it up.
"I thought you were stronger." Peter scoffed as he bashed its skull against a rock, destroying the rock in the process.
Speedy stood up and ran towards Peter, though his movement was greatly reduced.
The only time he had seen him like this was when he fought Bomber.
But now that version of Spider-Man looked like a childs play compared to the beast he was seeing now.
