Roxy didn't even wait for an answer. With a wicked grin she lunged across the plush leather cushions.
Nikki let out a startled shriek, instinctively curling into a defensive ball, but she was too slow. Roxy's fingers immediately found the highly sensitive spots along Nikki's ribs and waist.
"Rox! Stop!" Nikki gasped, bursting into a fit of uncontrollable, breathless laughter. She thrashed on the sofa, kicking her legs as she tried to shove her best friend off. "I yield! I yield! Mercy!"
"There is no mercy in Sector 1!" Roxy declared, pinning Nikki's legs with her own and doubling down on the tickle attack. "You come into my new high-tech mansion, drop a massive emotional bomb on me about the end of the world, and think you can just brood? Not on my watch! Spill it!"
"Spill what?!" Nikki wheezed, tears of mirth streaming from the corners of her eyes.
