Prologue: Summoning
I was summoned when…
"15 Years Ago"
In a high school classroom…
"Are you alright with that, Yusaka?"
"With what?" Yusaka replied.
"Are you sure you don't want to confess your love to Suzumi-san?"
"Of course I'm not alright with that, you idiot," Yusaka murmured.
"Don't call me an idiot! You're the idiot here!"
"It's been three years since you two have been friends. Even I can tell that you like each other…"
"Hurry up and confess your love to Suzumi-san!"
"Stop it! I'm going to grab lunch from the cafeteria. Do you want anything?" Yusaka asked.
"Then get me a spicy bun."
"Okay! I'll be right back in a few minutes," Yusaka answered.
As Yusaka was leaving the classroom…
"Rin Suzumi!" she called from the front of the room.
"Yusaka-kun… are you going to grab lunch?" she asked, her cheeks rosy.
"Yes…" Yusaka replied, his face flushing slightly.
"I see…"
Yusaka began to leave the classroom for the cafeteria, and Rin hurried to follow him and her coat dropped from her waist..
Yusaka yawned and closed his eyes for a brief moment.
He never imagined it would be the last ordinary moment of his life.
And as they stepped out of the classroom, a portal suddenly appeared—
swallowing Yusaka whole, with Rin mistakenly following after him
"With that one incident, our life changed completely...."
