Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: The Darkness Under the Shadows

After the meeting, everyone returned to their respective rooms.

Akatsuki, tipsy, knocked on Matou Sakura's door.

"Miss Akatsuki?"

Matou Sakura, a little scared, opened the door and let Akatsuki in. Akatsuki didn't say anything and lay directly on Matou Sakura's bed.

"Sakura."

"Yes!"

Akatsuki gave Matou Sakura a strange look, not understanding why she was so nervous. Perhaps it was because she was a True Ancestor and the one who had turned her into a Dead Apostle.

"Don't be nervous, I just came to check on you."

Saying that, probably because she had drunk a lot of alcohol, Akatsuki felt a bit hot and unbuttoned the collar of her Privately-run Homurahara Academy uniform.

"Thank you for your concern..." Matou Sakura lowered her head, her voice trembling slightly.

"No need for honorifics." Akatsuki waved her hand and suddenly chuckled, "I have to say, your endurance is beyond mine. To suppress the Bloodlust Impulse all day and still control your expression now is truly impressive."

Matou Sakura's body trembled. She looked up, her eyes filled with a craving for blood. "I-I'm sorry, I, I..."

"No need to apologize, Bloodlust Impulse is something every Dead Apostle experiences."

After speaking, Akatsuki completely unbuttoned her collar, revealing her fair neck.

Upon seeing her neck, Matou Sakura's eyes widened, and a powerful surge of impulse and fear welled up in her heart. She wanted to retreat, but her body involuntarily moved closer to Akatsuki.

"No need to hold back, this is a privilege I grant you."

Akatsuki's tipsy voice was undoubtedly the last straw that broke Matou Sakura's nerves. Dominated by instinct, Matou Sakura lunged at Akatsuki, her fangs piercing Akatsuki's neck. The taste of blood stimulated Matou Sakura's taste buds. The True Ancestor's blood possessed powerful magic, and this magic made her instinctively crave more of Akatsuki's blood.

"Ugh... your technique isn't very good..."

Facing Matou Sakura's rough demands, Akatsuki couldn't help but want to complain, but she didn't struggle. "Dead Apostles were originally True Ancestors' emergency rations, and you're also my progeny. Do you know what that means?"

Matou Sakura, as if possessed, greedily sucked Akatsuki's blood. The latter's expression remained normal, while the former's face was flushed, and her breathing became much heavier.

A few minutes later.

The Bloodlust Impulse gradually receded, and Matou Sakura's sanity slowly returned. She suddenly realized what she was doing and released her mouth in horror.

Drops of blood fell onto Matou Sakura's fair bosom.

"I-I'm sorry... I lost control..."

Matou Sakura's voice was tearful and fearful, and she looked at Akatsuki with a face full of shame.

Akatsuki gently wiped the blood from her neck with her hand and said with a smile, "Satisfied?"

Matou Sakura turned her head away and nodded cautiously.

"But I'm not satisfied yet."

Akatsuki suddenly exerted force, pressing Matou Sakura beneath her. The dynamic between them instantly reversed.

"Ah! Wait... Ugh..."

Akatsuki leaned down and covered Matou Sakura's mouth. Her actions were domineering, yet she completely controlled Matou Sakura. Matou Sakura tried to resist, but how could Akatsuki, a True Ancestor, be overpowered by Matou Sakura? She could only helplessly accept it.

Just then, a wave of dizziness swept over Matou Sakura, and she felt as if her body was on fire.

Although she hadn't received any formal magic training, she could guess that this was the influence of the True Ancestor's blood; her power was awakening.

The magical attributes that Matou Zouken had tampered with also reverted to their original state.

Akatsuki looked up at Matou Sakura's hazy eyes and heavy breathing, a smile playing on her lips.

"You only recently transformed from a human into a Dead Apostle, and now you've consumed a large amount of True Ancestor's blood. You shouldn't need to drink blood for a while, and you'll also undergo a transformation in your life essence. At that time, you'll become even stronger, probably as strong as two hundred Shinji Matous."

Matou Sakura's eyes were vacant, her breathing heavy and full of allure.

"Unfortunately, your rank as a Dead Apostle is a bit low, otherwise you could digest my blood even better."

"But none of that matters. I can give you blood anytime, it's just that..."

"Now, you are mine." Akatsuki leaned down again, this time her actions were even more domineering, and Matou Sakura, who had been desperately suppressing her voice, could no longer hold back.

"Sen...pai..."

In a daze, Matou Sakura seemed to return to that afternoon, the boy who was constantly practicing high jump gradually blurred, and her feelings for him gradually faded.

"Senpai, I'm sorry..."

As time passed, Matou Sakura was completely immersed in pleasure. She forgot everything, and only Akatsuki's figure remained in her memory.

On the other side.

Lancer immediately launched a fierce assault after finding Assassin. The blood-red spear continuously swung, but Assassin's face remained calm.

"Is this all the strength the Child of Light of Ireland has? He's not even as good as a dog by the roadside."

The cold voice stimulated Lancer's nerves.

"You just said 'dog,' didn't you?"

"Ah, I did."

Lancer's eyes turned fierce. He gripped the spear in his hand tighter, its tip glinting with a cold light.

"You dare insult me!" Lancer roared, thrusting at Assassin with all his might.

Assassin lightly sidestepped, dodging Lancer's attack. He sneered, and the giant sword in his hand, though incredibly large, struck out as swiftly as a venomous snake, aiming directly for Lancer's vital points.

Lancer hastily defended, but Assassin's speed was incredibly fast. The giant sword carved strange arcs in the air, making it difficult for Lancer to parry for a moment.

In the fierce exchange, Lancer gradually fell into a disadvantage.

However, he did not give up, his heart burning with anger at the insult and a desire for victory.

"I'm tired of this. Master, there shouldn't be any problem with killing Lancer here, right?"

"Of course not, meow! In fact, it's a great idea, meow!"

"Noble Phantasm — Sword of Death!"

In an instant, a black ray of light descended from the sky, directly bombarding Lancer. Lancer's eyes widened, desperately trying to dodge, but Assassin's Noble Phantasm had too wide a range of attack. Even with his full effort, it was too late.

"Boom!"

Accompanied by a loud bang, Lancer was swallowed by the light, his body sent flying backward, crashing heavily into a distant wall. He was covered in wounds, and blood stained the ground.

Assassin watched the scene indifferently, then turned and left, leaving Lancer gasping in the ruins.

"Aren't you going to deliver the final blow?"

Neco Arc asked curiously.

"Someone else will do it."

After Assassin left, black, ribbon-like objects emerged from the darkness. Lancer tried to dodge them when he saw them, but he was completely out of strength to move his body.

The black, ribbon-like objects tightly coiled around Lancer, dragging him into the darkness. Lancer's eyes gradually became hazy, and his consciousness grew increasingly blurred.

"I was careless..." he uttered with difficulty, before being dragged into the darkness, which seemed to devour everything he was.

Meanwhile, Illya, who was taking a night stroll in Fuyuki City, looked at the distant forest with a complicated expression.

"The first one..."
