I always was into books.In my old live,I was a librarian.I worked in that old library in my hometown.It was a beautiful experience to be around all that knowledge and understanding the consepts of the world just through reading books.It was always like entering an other world through a small sized square with pages as if it was a door to an other live.I was also an author.And wrote my own book before sneaking them into the giant shelves of the library.And people actually read them…But then…There was a incident and the officials decided to close the library once and for all.I felt like my live was over.The one thing i loved was the wonderful mace-like layout,the giant shelves you cant see the end,the familiar smell of old and new books and all that comfort I felt just sitting there…Now it was all gone.My live…was it even worth it anymore?
It rained as i stepped out of the library before i turned back to look at it one last time.Rain was streaming down my face,mixing with my tears and wetting my clothes.Through the strong rain,I could barely see but i still walked further.Even if some mad maniac is driving his car through that storm in the middle of the night what was my live even worth anymore?That thought was the last thing I remember before everything got black.
‚Weird last thoughts thy had,human',a gentle voice said in my head.‚Even if that truck would have not hit you,you would choose death anyway.'it continued as i tried opening my eyes.‚Thou souls dont have eyes to open,human,and you should not try doing so.',the voice said in a slow and gentle tome,like it was talking to an infant, ,So I am dead now?',I ask carefully in my mind as I was sure the person behind that voice could hear my thoughts and sp understand what i was saying.‚Of course I can hear your thoughts,little soul,just like every „typical isekai god",like you would have called me in your old world does.And yes,you are dead.But you are going to be reincarnated.',the voice said and i could swear i heard entertainment in the voice as it said the „typical isekai god" part.‚So,I am going to be reincarnated?But as what?And I am begging you please dont let it be something stupid like a spoon or a stick,please!',I said,and especially marking the last part with my most begging voice.,No,dont worry.I am very confident you will be happy with what you are going to become.',the voice answered in an mysterious tone.,So what am I going to be?An wise elf?A chosen hero?Or wait…A Dragon!?'I asked in excitement.,Oh it would be so cool to be a dragon'.,No.You are actually going to be something very different but I am sure it will be in your liking',the voice said sounding rather amused about my excitement in the idea of being something like a dragon.,Then what else?',I asked.Sad about not becoming a dragon.,You will find out soon enough',the voice said casually as I begin to feel my body disintegrating and floating somewhere else entirely.
