[Potential: Divine Tier – Seventh Rank]
With the little Entei officially choosing to follow Ethan, its information immediately updated before his eyes.
Because of the Rainbow-tier opportunity, the young Entei's strength rose noticeably—
leaping straight from the infant stage to Late Outstanding.
That said, despite the boost in power, Entei's body still looked small and puppy-like.
Ethan wasn't surprised.
After all, a Pokémon's combat strength didn't necessarily correlate with physical growth.
At its core, this Entei was still very much a child.
Feeling the sudden surge of power within itself, the little Entei's eyes lit up.
"En-di~"
Hearing that cheerful cry, Ethan smiled faintly.
"Welcome to the team, Entei," he said gently.
"This Lava Heart Crystal will be your gift."
He offered the Lava Heart Crystal forward.
However, the little Entei shook its head.
It wasn't refusing out of disinterest—it simply didn't know where to keep something like this.
So it gestured for Ethan to hold onto it, asking him to take it out whenever it needed it.
Ethan paused, then laughed softly.
"That's on me."
"For now, I don't have a way to let you carry it safely."
"But once we're back home, I'll have a special container made just for you."
"You'll be able to carry it with you then."
"En-di~"
The little Entei nodded happily, clearly satisfied.
Since the cavern was now completely empty, Ethan didn't linger.
Under Metagross's guidance, the group left the underground cave together.
Half a Month Later
Morning light filtered through a beautiful forest near the eastern coast of Sea Cliff Island.
The sun rose slowly from the horizon.
Thin smoke curled upward from a campsite.
"Hoo~"
A sleepless Hoothoot let out a low call, announcing the arrival of dawn.
Inside the tent, Ethan slowly woke up.
The first thing he saw—
Was the little Entei sprawled across his chest, sleeping messily on its back.
Compared to half a month ago, Entei was slightly bigger, though still very much on the small side.
Ethan smiled unconsciously.
He carefully adjusted the blanket, covering the restless little one, then quietly slipped out of the tent.
Outside, Metagross was already awake, eyes half-open despite appearing to rest.
"Meta~"
"Morning," Ethan said with a wave.
Around the campsite, Swampert, Tyrantrum, Hydreigon, and Skeledirge were still fast asleep.
It was time to make breakfast.
Ethan lit the stove and took out ingredients from his storage ball.
As time passed, the Pokémon gradually woke up.
Skeledirge let the little firebird help regulate the flames.
Tyrantrum and Hydreigon resumed their usual patrol.
Swampert instinctively began arranging utensils.
Food consumption had increased faster than expected—
Skeledirge's evolution, plus the addition of Gliscor and Entei, had changed the math.
So Gliscor, Gabite, and Hatterene headed out to gather supplementary ingredients.
Meanwhile, Metagross—who barely needed food—continued sleeping less and less.
Instead, it took on a new role: training instructor.
Ethan handled planning and encouragement.
Metagross handled discipline.
One gentle, one strict.
The result?
Training efficiency skyrocketed.
Even Skeledirge and Swampert preferred learning from Metagross.
As for the laziest one in camp—
The little Entei was still snoring in the tent.
No one complained.
After all, kids needed sleep.
Breakfast was simple but rich—a hearty porridge made with premium Wangwang Grain, meat, vegetables, and mushrooms.
The aroma alone was irresistible.
"Roaaar~"
Tyrantrum and Hydreigon soon returned.
Just as Ethan was about to call them over—
He spotted two familiar figures walking toward the campsite.
Qin Yingying and Ye Kui.
"Long time no see!" Qin Yingying greeted brightly.
"Long time no see," Ethan replied with a smile.
"How did you two end up here?"
"We explored from the north," Qin Yingying said, then sniffed the air.
"So fragrant~!"
"Is this your cooking, Ethan? It smells almost as good as Sister Yunmei's!"
Ethan chuckled.
"You haven't eaten yet, right? Come, try some."
He glanced at Ye Kui.
"You too."
Hatterene floated a bowl over with psychic power.
"Thank you," Ye Kui said softly, accepting it.
Qin Yingying, far less reserved, dug in immediately.
"It's delicious!"
"The best meal I've had since coming to the island!"
Ethan smiled but felt a twinge of sympathy.
Unlike him, Qin Yingying hadn't prepared much food—
she'd been surviving largely off whatever she could find.
Naturally, this porridge tasted heavenly.
As they ate, Ye Kui's gaze kept drifting around the camp.
Her shock only deepened.
Shiny Metagross.
Tyrantrum.
Hatterene.
Skeledirge.
Swampert.
Shiny Gliscor.
Gabite.
Hydreigon.
Every single one was rare.
Every single one was strong.
And every single one was deeply bonded with Ethan.
Then—
"En-di~"
A sleepy voice came from the tent.
Qin Yingying and Ye Kui turned their heads.
And froze.
A small head poked out—
One that looked exactly like the legendary Pokémon from the textbooks.
Qin Yingying stared at Ethan, dumbfounded.
"…Is that… Entei?"
Ethan nodded calmly.
"Come on, Entei. Say hello."
"En-di~"
The little Entei trotted over, rubbed against Ethan's leg, and began eating its porridge happily.
Qin Yingying and Ye Kui were completely stunned.
Three pseudo-legendaries.
And now—
A Legendary Pokémon.
This was beyond ridiculous.
Elsewhere on Sea Cliff Island
"Is everyone here?"
A tall, powerfully built young man asked in a low voice.
Reports came in one after another.
"Tamamushi Academy, present."
"Oxford Academy, present."
"… "
Fifteen academies in total.
Only then did the muscular youth turn respectfully to a pale, refined boy beside him.
"Master, everyone has arrived."
The elegant youth nodded.
His name was Silius Morgan—
heir to the Morgan family, one of the three great financial dynasties of the Sky Eagle Alliance.
The undisputed leader of the western academies.
Behind him stood a terrifying Pokémon—
Kommo-o.
Silius spoke calmly.
"I only want answers to two questions."
"Who knows the current location of the three students from Donghuang Academy?"
"And—"
"How much are you willing to pay…
to buy the resources in their hands?"
