The sky above Japan had turned into something unnatural.
Not dark.
Not cloudy.
But torn.
Reality itself looked sliced into thin layers, like invisible blades had passed through the atmosphere and left scars in space. Cities below were half rebuilt, half ruined. Barriers shimmered around the remaining safe zones, but even those felt fragile now.
Somewhere in the dead zone between collapsed districts, a lone figure stood.
Avery Kilzero.
The champion of Slaughter Manifesto.
The Necromancer King.
The man who had once commanded entire kingdoms of the dead.
Behind him, the ground trembled.
From the cracked earth, corpses rose.
Hundreds. Then thousands.
Sorcerers. Beasts. Even former Rank 0 monsters and Semi Calamities, all stitched together by black-purple necromantic mana. Their eyes glowed with artificial life, their bodies reinforced by death magic.
Avery spread his arms.
"Come on, Tengen Orasu…"
His voice echoed through the ruined city.
"Absolute Rank or not, even dimensions rot when enough corpses pile up."
The air shifted.
Space folded.
And then…
Tengen appeared.
Not with a flash.
Not with teleportation.
He simply existed there, as if reality had always reserved a slot for him.
Long black coat. Calm eyes. No visible aura.
But the space around him… was wrong.
It kept bending, folding, cutting itself apart without him even moving.
Avery's smile widened.
"So you're really here. The monster who broke Japan."
Tengen looked at the army of undead.
Then at Avery.
Then sighed.
"…You're wasting my time."
The dead charged.
All at once.
Thousands of resurrected entities rushed forward, the air filling with screams, roars, and necromantic distortion. Rank 0 beasts leaped through the air. Semi Calamities tore through buildings just to reach him.
Avery snapped his fingers.
"Crush him."
The undead army attacked from every direction.
Tengen raised one hand.
That was all.
The world split.
No explosion.
No shockwave.
Just silent cuts.
Space itself fractured into countless invisible lines, like reality had been sliced by an omnidirectional blade.
Everything in front of Tengen…
Stopped.
Then fell apart.
Not destroyed.
Separated.
The undead army was cut into millions of fragments, each piece sliced so perfectly that even their mana cores were severed from existence.
Bodies collapsed into dust.
Beasts vanished mid-air.
Semi Calamities were erased like chalk drawings wiped off a board.
Avery's eyes widened.
"…What?"
His entire army was gone.
Not defeated.
Not destroyed.
Deleted.
Tengen stepped forward.
Each step warped space.
Avery immediately summoned more.
A giant undead dragon erupted from the ground, its body reinforced by at least ten different Calamity cores. Behind it, three Rank 0 sorcerers resurrected with twisted bodies and amplified death magic.
Avery shouted.
"Don't let him get close!"
The dragon fired a beam of condensed necromantic energy.
Tengen didn't dodge.
The beam hit him.
And bent.
It curved around his body, sliced in half by invisible spatial fractures, and dispersed into harmless particles.
Tengen lifted his finger.
The dragon's head slid off its body.
Then the body split into hundreds of sections.
Then those sections split again.
Until nothing remained.
The three Rank 0 undead tried to attack.
They didn't even reach him.
Their bodies folded inward, compressed by collapsing dimensions, until they became nothing more than floating red mist.
Avery stumbled back.
"…This isn't possible."
He raised both hands, pouring every ounce of necromantic power he had left.
From the ground, a final creation emerged.
A massive undead titan, fused from dozens of beasts and sorcerers, radiating Semi Calamity level pressure. Its body was covered in cursed runes, its core pulsing violently.
Avery screamed.
"Kill him! Even if it costs everything!"
The titan charged.
Tengen looked at it.
And for the first time…
He used both hands.
The space between him and the titan collapsed into a black line.
A single dimensional slash.
Not visible.
Not loud.
Just absolute.
The titan froze.
Then split vertically.
Then horizontally.
Then diagonally.
Then ceased to exist.
The necromantic core shattered into nothingness.
Silence.
Avery stood alone now.
Sweat dripped down his face.
His mana reserves were collapsing.
Every resurrection spell he had prepared…
Gone.
Every corpse he controlled…
Gone.
He laughed nervously.
"…So this is Absolute Rank."
Tengen walked toward him slowly.
Each step felt like gravity itself was rearranging.
Avery tried one last thing.
He activated his own necromantic core directly, attempting to resurrect himself preemptively in case of death, anchoring his soul to the dimension of death.
Tengen stopped in front of him.
Looked down.
"…Necromancy doesn't work on me."
Avery's eyes widened in horror.
"What do you mean—"
Tengen placed his hand on Avery's chest.
The space inside Avery's body twisted.
His heart, soul, mana core, and consciousness were sliced apart in different dimensions simultaneously.
Avery didn't even feel pain.
He simply… disappeared.
No explosion.
No corpse.
No resurrection.
His necromantic anchor was cut from reality itself.
Avery Kilzero ceased to exist.
The Necromancer King was erased.
Tengen stood there alone in the ruined city.
He looked around at the empty battlefield.
"…So even champions fall this easily now."
He turned away, his body already fading into distorted space.
"Good. This world needs to understand."
The air warped.
And Tengen Orasu vanished.
Leaving behind a city full of ruins…
And a terrifying truth spreading through the underground sorcerer networks:
Even Calamity level champions meant nothing anymore.
Not in a world ruled by Absolute Rank.
