Part 1
Metal particles, swirling like black water, parted before him. He had the appearance of a human. But this world should have contained no human survivors.
In response to his presence, liquid metal gathered. Rust-scented particles converged, forming a face—one so vast it spanned nearly the diameter of the sun.
A sticky smile formed on one side of the massive face as it gazed down at the human, no larger than a speck before it.
The metal spoke, its voice ringing like colliding steel.
"Does this world truly desire change, Zeus?"
And so, the dialogue that would reshape the universe began.
