Chapter 6 - chapter 6The Game of Blood

The scorching air of the runway was filled with the stench of gunpowder. The barrel of Adrik's gun was pressed firmly against the center of Ivan Petrov's forehead. As Ivan's bodyguards raised their automatic weapons toward Adrik, dozens of red laser dots suddenly appeared—locking onto Ivan's head and heart from the rooftops surrounding the runway.

Ivan finally realized that Adrik was not just a Korean mafia lord—he was a madman. For his obsession and for this girl, Adrik would not hesitate for a second to sever billion-dollar ties with Russia.

Ivan snarled,

"Are you really going to destroy a multi-billion-dollar deal for a girl, Adrik? Do you have any idea Moscow will not take this lightly?"

Adrik did not lower his gun. Instead, he pressed it harder. Murder burned in his grey eyes.

"Tell Moscow this," Adrik replied coldly.

"Adrik may be mixed-blood, but he is not a traitor. And that mark on Soha's neck—did you see it? That's not just a design. It's my oath. If you try to take her to Moscow, your corpse and hers will fly back on the same plane."

Soha froze. The man who had imprisoned her… was now risking his life for her.

Slowly, Ivan raised his hands and signaled his men to lower their guns. A mocking smile curved his lips.

"Very well, Adrik. Today, you win. But remember—if Russian mafia cannot possess something, we destroy it."

Ivan boarded the jet and left. Even after the plane disappeared from the runway, Adrik stood unmoving. Then he holstered his gun and turned toward Soha, whose eyes were still wide with shock.

Trembling, she whispered,

"Why did you do this? They could have killed you!"

Adrik pulled her into a brutal, possessive embrace, brushing his fingers over the tattoo on her neck.

"I didn't spend three years searching for you just to hand you over to that filth. I brought you to make you mine."

Then, coldly:

"Come. We're going back to the mansion. Ivan won't stop here."

He lifted Soha into the car and texted someone as the vehicle moved.

"Activate Operation Black Sun. No Russian bodyguard leaves Seoul alive tonight."

Soha understood—this night would drown Seoul in blood.

Rain poured outside the mansion, hammering against the glass. Inside the dim room, Soha sat on the bed wearing her familiar black tank top and dress. Moonlight made the mafia tattoo on her neck glow ominously.

A sound came from the door.

She thought it was Adrik.

It wasn't.

A young Russian man stepped inside. Pale skin. Jet-black hair falling over his forehead. But his eyes—sharp, predatory, glowing green like a cat's.

Without a word, he approached her slowly. Black leather jacket. The movements of a hunter.

"Who are you?" Soha whispered in fear.

"How did you get in? Where is Adrik?"

The man stopped inches away. His fingers traced the tattoo on her neck—ice-cold.

"So you're Soha," he said in a rough Russian accent.

"The girl Adrik is fighting Moscow for. I'm Alexander. Ivan Petrov's most loyal assassin."

He tightened his grip on her wrist.

"Adrik is busy with his gang war. I'm here to steal his favorite toy."

Soha tried to scream—

The door exploded open.

Adrik stormed in, gun dripping with blood. But the moment he saw Alexander, his weapon trembled.

Shock replaced rage.

"Alexander…?"

His voice broke.

"You're alive? And working for Ivan?"

Alexander laughed, pulling Soha's hair harder.

"While you built kingdoms in Korea, I bled in Russian snow. Ivan gave me a new life."

Adrik pleaded,

"Let her go. Your hatred is with me—not her."

Alexander smiled cruelly and pressed a knife to Soha's tattoo.

"One step closer, and I carve your mark off her skin."

Adrik lowered his gun.

"Take everything. My empire. My money. Just let her go."

Alexander whispered into Soha's ear,

"Your dragon prince is ready to surrender his kingdom."

Then—laughter.

Alexander suddenly released Soha.

Laughing, he adjusted his jacket.

"Relax, big brother. Just a joke."

Adrik dragged Soha behind him, fury shaking his body.

"You almost died."

Alexander waved as he walked out.

"Ivan is furious. This was a warning. And your choice? Impressive."

He vanished into the night.

After Alexander left, Adrik snapped.

He laughed—wild, broken—and punched the mirror. Glass shattered. Blood dripped.

Grabbing Soha's shoulders, eyes blazing:

"Everyone thinks I'm weak because I love you."

Then, a threat whispered through clenched teeth:

"From tonight, you don't leave this room. If you try—your father dies."

His voice dropped into something monstrous.

"If anyone tries to take you from me, I will turn Seoul into a graveyard."

He smeared his blood over her tattoo.

"You will live as my captive queen."

Soha realized—the lover was gone.

Only the tyrant remained.
