Olivia saw Rowena open her eyes, tears streamed and she smiled while crying. The second Rowena opened her eyes, Zain fell to the ground and slept.
Everyone didn't know what to do, they saw Zain suddenly fell to ground and no one was behind him to catch him.
Aleric looked at his daughter with a warm smile and back at Zain. Malrac kept watching Zain as he felt sad at first but hollow next and gratitude. He had conflict emotions towards Zain. The healer just looked amazed at the recovery of Rowena.
"LUCAS! WAKE UP!"
Iso kept screaming at Zain to wake up and slapping his face to wake up.

Zain woke up like The Undertaker. Everyone was shocked by the sudden wake of Zain that they slightly stepped back.
"I guess it worked."
Zain just said that and began to stand up. He looked at Rowena who was awake but can't move and said,"Now all you need to do is do nothing and regain your health. I don't know how long it's going to take, I'm not a healer."
Everyone looked at Zain like he's crazy or something. Zain turned around and saw everyone looki at him.
"What?"
"How come you're fine? Didn't you transferred the curse to yourself?" Aleric said with shocked eyes.
"I did do that. I'm special you see." Zain said with a smug and winked at the end. Aleric didn't care and didn't want to know how is he still awake.
"Thank you Lucas. Thank you... I don't know how to repay you." Olivia said as she shaked Zain's hand with a heartfelt motion.
"I didn't do it for a payment." Zain said to Olivia. He remembered something, looked at Aleric and said, "But I wouldn't mind taking Maribel off you."
Olivia immediately nodded while he looked at her husband.
"But she doesn't have any legs or any will to live." Aleric said as he felt remorse or regret. Everyone was shocked to hear that except Zain, Aleric and Malrac.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!" Olivia said angrily at her husband. Aleric looked away and said, "Can we talk about this later, please?"
"You better give me answers." Olivia said
"I will, later."
"Okay"
"I know what her state is like besides what kinda noble doesn't have a maid." Zain as he looked said and whispered to say, "If she still want to."
"If you say so." Aleric said to Zain, looked at her daughter and back at Zain to say, "Follow me."
Everyone followed the king, the healer stayed in the room with Rowena and Olivia followed to. Aleric saw that Olivia was following to, decided to say something but stopped himself and still lead everyone to the basement.
They passed guards and maid on the way. They passed the Prince who was heading in the opposite direction with his maid. Zain saw the Prince and said to him, "Hey Brat, you decided to stop your training. Good Job."
Everyone was used to Zain for calling children brat. Olivia and Aleric didn't even get angry at his remarks.
"Mother, Father. Where are you going? Who is this man?" The Prince said to his parents while he looked at Zain.
"We'll talk later." Aleric said as he kept walking. Zain made weird face gesture while he looked at Zain.
Aleric led them to the weapon room. There was swords, shield, spears, maces, axes, bows and many more. Every weapon was there except modern weapons like hand guns, long guns, grenades, automatics and heavy firearms.
Aleric pulled a certain brick on a wall and a hidden passage appeared behind the weapons. There was a staircase leading to the basement.
"I've never been here." Olivia said as she looked around but everyone didn't blame her because noone could find the passage to the basement. Aleric didn't say anything but just kept leading.
The basement had touches on a wall that appear by artificial flame with a magic stone on the centre. It looks like they were made like that so no one would maintain the basement.
The walls looked like they've been standing for more than 10 decades. The was skulls lying down. Iso jump and screamed when she kicked the skull by mistake. Everyone looked at her with weird looks and Iso apologised for her behaviour.
The was a stench on the basement, it wasn't the stench of death but the smell of blood. Olivia said "There's a smell of metal or iron in here." Iso agreed with her.
"That's not the smell of metal." Zain said as he looked forward. Since Iso and Olivia were walking infront, they turned back to look at Zain. Iso said to Zain.
"What smell is it?"
"Smell of Blood." Zain said seriously. Iso and Olivia suddenly shivered when they heard. Olivia decided to not think about it and asked a question.
"What kinda a basement is this?"
"You don't need to know." Zain said to Olivia. Olivia decided to look at her husband and said, "Honey."
"It's..."
"Don't say it." Aleric was about to answer Olivia but Zain stopped her. Aleric didn't try to question why would Zain stop him from explaining it.
They arrived at the room were Maribel was kept. The room had a smell of blood all over it, the walls had blood all over them, the stench of shit was shoved to the corner of the room and the body parts of humans were on the other corner.
Maribel was chained on the wall, her legs were amputated, her had cuts, her uniform was messy as well as her hair and her eyes were hollow. Her face was a mess with bruises.
When she looked upwards and saw Aleric, her face showed dread and resignation. She already accepted her fate that she won't die. She once begged Aleric to kill her but he kept torturing her that she eventually accept the thing he said she did. Aleric believed her and increased her torture by amputating her legs. Aleric modified a whip with thorns and metal spikes to hit her. He hit her to the point of death and used a healing potions to heal her.
He repeated the process over and over again that Maribel became numb to torture. She stopped feeling pain or more like she became tolerant to it. She still felt but she didn't react to it.
Aleric saw that and bought 13 swords, he stabbed Maribel with all the swords while kept healing her. She once was left with 3 swords for 2-4 days straight and Aleric never once came to check on her. Aleric once removed her eyes with a dagger, put them back and said, "She won't be able to see fear. That's Me." Aleric thought of removing her tounge but didn't and said, "She won't taste her shit and scream."
She was fed her own shit everyday. If she didn't shit, she couldn't eat. She was miserable. She thought of revenge but didn't have the luxury, let alone freedom to do it. Her capturer was a King and she was but a commoner.
Everyone looked at her state and felt sorry for her. They didn't understand what happened her but they understood that even slaves weren't treated like this.
Zain walked to the front and looked at her.
"So what's your name?" Zain said to her and everyone looked at him like no one didn't tell him her name.
Maribel didn't answer or lift her head.
-Just kill me.
"Yes, I will kill you." Everyone looked at him but Zain didn't look at them, they're eyes were saying ~Didn't you say you want her~
Maribel finally looked at Zain with a desperation look.
-You will.
"Yes, you will die by my doing." Zain said to her.
*REGAL FORCE*
Zain directed the Regal Force only on Maribel and eventually increased the output but She stained conscious and was still able to move.
Zain eventually used all the output that can be used in his current state. Maribel reacted to it by being unable to move. Everyone in the room froze since the Regal Force wasn't directed at them but it still affected them.
-Was it you who increased the weight?
"Yes It was." Zain said embarassed by the way Maribel said it like it didn't matter.
"Hey, you still haven't told your name?"
-Will you kill me if I tell you my name?
"Yes, you will die by my action?"
-You said that before.
"I did? I'm sorry. So, what's your name?"
-Maribel
"Alright Maribel. Gues what? I'm a noble without a maid, how about you be my maid?" Zain said with a big smile.
-You said you will kill me if I told you my name.
"Yes, I didn't lie. You will die by my action. So will you be my maid?" Zain said with a smile.
-How can I be your maid without legs?
"So you agree to be my maid?"
-What? Didn't you hear me? Wait, how can you hear me.
"All I want is Yes or No. Will you be my maid?"
-What's your name mister?
"My name is Lucian Zain von Dawnbreaker. The Founder of the Dawnbreaker Family and The Patriarch of the Dawnbreaker."
