Eternal CollapseWorld Stories: The Fallen Star

(Attention: all events in chapters belonging to "World Stories" take place in an unknown future or past, after the end or before the beginning of the main storyline. Respectfully — the Author.)

Greetings to everyone who has gathered here today for this lecture. My name is Richard Kirk. I am an ordinary amateur historian who studies the history of our world on his own. And today I would finally like to present to you one of my recent discoveries. I ask for your attention — let us begin.

Last month I was traveling through the mountains of the Naga Republic, where I discovered several rather large stones with ancient drawings. And, I must say, they struck me as extremely strange. I had never heard of these stones or similar images before. It is quite possible that others had found them before me and even written articles about them, but in any case, I found nothing of the sort. However, let us not get distracted — let us move directly to the drawings themselves.

The first stone depicted a man gazing at a sky strewn with stars. At first glance, nothing unusual. However, the neighboring stone already showed a crowd of people observing an unknown burning or glowing object lying on the ground. At first I didn't pay much attention to it either, but then, almost out of desperation, I simply decided to count the number of stars in the images. And to my surprise, on the second drawing there was one fewer star in the sky.

I can already anticipate your objections. You will say that even in the late era of the Ancient World there already existed flying objects that partially used magic. But if everything were that simple, I would not be giving an entire lecture on this topic.

My fellow scholars and I returned to those stones once more to study the images more thoroughly. And do you know what conclusion we reached? According to our calculations, these drawings were made approximately two to three thousand years before the beginning of the Ancient World era.

We continue to study these stones, and perhaps in the future I will compile our observations into a full scientific paper with clearer conclusions. But for now, what to believe is up to you. Perhaps I misinterpreted the meaning of the images. Perhaps we were wrong in determining their age. Or perhaps… it really was something else. Something that came from outside.

But one thing I know for certain. I want to return to the mountains of the Naga Republic once more and try to find other similar drawings — if they exist, of course.

And now we come smoothly to the main reason why I gathered you all here today. It is no secret to anyone that everyone present here is a person of means, in one way or another interested in history or connected to it. Therefore I will be brief.

I need funding.

Wait… where are you all going? You must give me a chance. This could become a historic discovery…

Almost everyone left. Except for two people.

Thank you to the two of you for staying. Now I will tell you about the third stone, which could cause quite a sensation.
