Archer's face squeezed in displeasure as the system notification hung in his vision.
[Failure penalty: Destruction of Mountain splitting Axe]
"No way" he muttered. "I'll have a troublesome life in this primitive world without this weapon! I can't lose it!"
At this moment, skull helmet had advanced towards him.
The massive cave-man charged towards him like a runaway train, raising his bone club up high, ready to smash it into archer's head.
But Archer raised the mountain splitting Axe and...
Boom!
The impact was insane. The bone club collided with the axe blade and the shockwave ripple through the air. Dust exploded from beneath archer's feet as his legs were driven into the ground.
"Holy shit" He thought."I never thought the primitive era people would be this strong!"
Skull helmet leaned into the club more, bearing his full weight down on archer.
But archer held firm.
"But after the stats distribution..." Archer growled, his own muscles swelling as he channeled every ounce of his strength. "...I'm not any weaker!"
He pushed and The mountain splitting Axe's blade dug into the bone club. A crack spread across its surface and the bone axe shattered.
Crack!
The bone club split it two, it's top half spinning through the air before bouncing against the cave wall and falling onto the ground.
Skull helmet stood frozen, staring at the jagged remnants of his weapon. Still clinging to the bottom half.
The other cave-people people collectively held their breath as the stared at the fallen half.
"Hmm." Archer's mind rattled. " Why do I have a bad feeling about this?"
"You...you!!!" skull helmet's voice raised as his hand trembled around the broken club.
"YOU RUINED MY WEAPON!!!"
"CHARGE!" skull helmet hurled the broken club fragment at archer's head. "ATTACK HIM TOGETHER! TEAR HIM APART!"
"What the hell?" Archer ducked, dodging the thrown fragment."don't be a sore loser! Didn't you want a solo fight!?"
But the cave people were already chasing after him as he sprinted away into the jungle.
"So many against just me! How's that fair!" Archer yelled.
A thrown rock flew past his ear, another struck his back. But he didn't stop running, using his enhanced agility to weave between hands that wanted to grab him and swing clubs.
A cave-man lunged from the left, swinging his club towards archer but archer pivoted and dodged him, swinging his axe in a tight arc that caught the bone club mid-swing.
Crack!
Another weapon shattered. The cave-man stumbled back, staring at his broken club in disbelief.
"My...my weapon!" The cave-man cried.
Two more attacked from opposite sides, a pincer movement that would've worked if archer was not so experienced in being chased by hurt men who found out he was sleeping with their wives.
He dropped into a slide, passing beneath both of their swinging clubs. Which caused them to connect with each other's attack instead.
Thunk!
Both attackers dropped down, tangling into each other.
"Come on!" Archer yelled, his breathing become had from the consistent chase.
"You bunch of savage bastards!" Archer yelled, painting his Axe towards them. "Aren't you gonna stop now!?"
The cave-people closed in on him slowly.
"Don't go overboard!" Archer's void cracked. "I'm...I'm wanting you! I'll actually kill you guys if I'm forced to! I won't be dying alone!"
He then threateningly thrusted his axe towards them.
"MOVE BACK!"
To his suprise, they did move back.
The cave-people collectively started backing away slowly as their eyes darted between each other and Archer...or rather beyond him.
Then they all ran.
All of them, bolting into the dark jungle, away from archer.
"Eh? What's happening?" Archer asked confused at to why they were now running away.
"Why are these bunch of bastards so scared?" He thought. "All I did was raise my voice, am I that scary?"
But just then, he felt the light of the moon disappear from above him.
There was a presence behind him and it didn't feel comforting at all.
A liquid dripped onto his head and when he looked up above him, he saw the wide open mouth of the sabertooth tiger, it's fangs bared wide and saliva dripping onto his face.
"Ah hell! You again!?" Archer exclaimed as he began running.
He threw himself sideways as its massive jaws snapped shut, Clack!, just missing his head by a few inches.
Archer sprinted and the tiger gave chase.
"Come on kitty!" Archer couldn't help himself but taunt, boosted by the upgrade in his stats. "Can't catch one tiny little human?"
The tiger swiped its claws at archer but he dodged It, and dove into a roll.
Archer feinted right, then broke left. The tiger match him, it's flexibility unbelievable for its size.
"Ah, shit shit shit"
The sabertooth Tiger's claws eventually caught Archer's back, injuring him.
Archer then stumbled to the floor, got up and began thinking of a way to deter the sabertooth tiger, he then remembered the camp fire and was sure as hell he could deter it with flames.
So he ran back towards the direction of the cave and when he eventually got back to the cave and stood over the Campfire the system rang.

He quickly put the stats into agility and picked up a stick from the camp fire that had fire on it's other end.
And just as the sabertooth tiger was closing in on him he thrusted the burning stick into its eyes. Causing it to winch in pain and stumble backward.
But it didn't give up, it still cautioussly starting circling archer.
"My bet was correct" archer said. "Come on kitty, you had a lot of fun chasing me right?"
But despite his bravado, archer actually hoped it would run away instead, rather than fight him.
And then a sound echoed in the jungle.
"Huh? What's that sound?" Archer thought to himself.
It kept echoing.
Boom
Boom
Boom
Boom
