The golden gateway began to groan, the sound shifting from a terrifying grind into a rhythmic hum that vibrated in the marrow of their bones. It was like music—a haunting melody specifically tuned to the souls of the thirty-eight students standing on the deck.
Nico Robin felt the call deep within her chest, but she wasn't alone. Every "Newborn" felt the invisible threads of fate pulling them toward the amber light glowing within the ADAM.
However, the music was a death knell for the unworthy.
Greedy pirates and mercenaries from the smaller surrounding ships, driven by the lust for power, broke rank and sprinted toward the shore. "The power is mine!" one roared, his eyes bloodshot. "Mine alone!" They rushed headlong toward the gateway, reaching out with desperate hands.
But as they stepped onto the amber-lit path, their bodies began to flicker. With every step forward, their skin turned gray and brittle. Before they could even scream, they decayed into fine white sand, scattering into the wind.
"What's happening? No... help me! Someone help!"
Voices of pure despair echoed across the quiet sea before being silenced forever.
Garp watched the dust settle, his face a mask of iron. "So... only the Newborns are permitted to enter."
"Yes," Nico Robin said, her eyes still rimmed with red. "The ADAM has spoken. Only the Newborns have the right. Anyone else who tries to enter will simply become its food."
Aokiji, who had been watching in a daze, slumped back into his relaxed posture. Aizawa, standing beside him, turned his tired eyes toward the students. "All Might said Kids... if you don't want to go in, stay here. We'll be at ease knowing you're safe with us."
Akainu stared at his daughter, Hibari, his expression unreadable, but his silence spoke volumes. Garp looked at Ace, Sabo, and Luffy, his heart heavy with the weight of the era he was about to let them enter.
"I'm going," a voice rang out. Shirahoshi stepped forward, her 6'4" frame trembling not with fear, but with a newfound courage.
"Princess!" Fisher Tiger and Jinbei called out in alarm. "Are you truly going in?"
Shirahoshi looked at the golden trees and then back at them. "I need an answer. And if the island wants an apology for the sins of the past, then I will be the one to apologize."
Jinbei and Tiger looked into her eyes and saw a resolve so absolute they could not speak. Even Whitebeard, watching from the Moby Dick, remained silent in respect.
"I will go as well," Hiyori said, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Shirahoshi. "I need the truth, even if it is only a sliver." Ashura and Denjiro moved to argue, but the fire in her eyes silenced them instantly.
"Shishishishishi!" Luffy's laugh shattered the tension. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's goooooo!" He stretched his rubbery arms toward the island, his spirit ablaze.
Ace and Sabo cracked their necks, fire erupting from their shoulders. "Yeah... let's have an adventure."
The momentum was unstoppable. Kid let out a jagged laugh. "Power or not, I'm not backing down!" Killer followed with a dark chuckle. "Fate is calling. Let's see what it has for us." Karasu nodded grimly, "The call must not be delayed," while Bello Betty raised her flag high. "That's it! Pour your spirit into it and let's decide our own fate!"
Garp watched them and laughed, a thunderous, proud sound. "Hahahaha! That's the future era I'm putting my trust in!"
The atmosphere shifted from dread to a vibrant, defiant life. Fujitora turned to his students. Zoro gripped his swords, his voice cold and steady. "My heart will never waver. I'm going." Kuina stepped beside him. "The path leads to the strongest swordsmen. I will be there." Trafalgar Law adjusted his hat. "For the journey, I'll go."
Kawamatsu let out a hearty "Kapapapapapa! I will dive in, as still as the water." Kiku nodded to her brother Izou on the Moby Dick, a silent understanding passing between them. "I'll go with the snow."
Zephyr looked at his students. "Tell me your decisions."
Smoker stepped up, lighting a cigar. "I'm going. No need for talk." Tashigi clutched her blade, "I'll go too," while Koby tightened his bandana. "I'll prove my courage." Hibari met Akainu's gaze with a steady hand on her sniper rifle. "I'm going, Father." Akainu simply closed his eyes and nodded. Ain moved to follow, her posture radiating loyalty.
All Might, Aizawa, and Nemuri turned to the UA students.
"Huh? Who's scared?" Bakugo barked, sparks flying from his palms. "I'll fucking blow them all away!" Izuku looked at All Might and gave a firm nod. "I'll go." Shoto, ice and fire swirling around his arms, added, "Power and fate... let me decide for myself." Tokoyami whispered, "The darkness calls, and I shall answer."
Momo stood tall, her eyes full of courage. "I want to see it for myself." Monoma laughed manically, "Let me lead the way!" while Ibara clasped her hands in prayer. Yui and Yanagi nodded with eerie, calm resolve. Kendo pumped her fist. "No more talk. I'm in."
Nejire smiled at Ryukyu, "I'm coming too!" while Mirio flexed his muscles. "I'll go and protect these kids!" Tamaki sighed but stepped up. "I'll follow... I'll protect them."
Inasa roared about passion and fate, and Camie laughed, "I'll just chill with them!" Nagant gave them a sharp nod of approval. Sanji took a long drag of his cigarette and looked at Zeff. "No need for words, old man. I'm not dying today." Zeff simply smirked.
Kaya and Chopper stood side-by-side. "A doctor's duty is to heal," Kaya said firmly. "Hina likes your will," Hina replied.
Viola and Rebecca approached All Might. "We're going, Uncle. We need to see what happened." All Might sighed, "I wish you luck. Promise you'll come back safe."
Vivi looked at Pell and Chaka, her eyes silencing their protests. "I need an answer for 'why'." Nami looked at Gion. "With all these helpless guys, I have no choice." Gion smiled, "I'm counting on you, Nami-chan."
Finally, Nico Robin turned toward the entrance. Aokiji watched her. "And you?"
"I need an answer," she said, her voice a vow. Aokiji grunted and pulled his sleep mask down. "Do what you want."
Boa Hancock stood silent, her face like stone as Shakky and Gloriosa approached. They knew the "traitor" label weighed heavy, but the Empress merely nodded toward the island. She would face the ADAM.
Whitebeard's laugh shook the ocean. "Gurararararara! Now that is the Newborn era I've been waiting for!"
"Hahahaha!" Garp boomed. "See that, Newgate? That's our new era!"
All Might smiled, his heart swelling with pride. "I can't wait for the future."
The thirty-eight students stepped as one onto the amber path, disappearing into the heart of the golden giant..

The students stood with different resolves and different reasons.
Some want answers. Some want adventure. Some won't waver. Some are following the flow. Some will try their luck to stop the evil from seizing power. Some act for their conviction. Some for their pride and resolution. But one thing is for sure: not just them, but every Newborn will be going.

Deep within the Adam, where the darkness holds the most dangerous creature this world has yet to see, the silence begins to fracture.
Eyes were starts to twitch. It is a faint, rhythmic spasm—a sudden, jagged sign of life beneath skin that has been still for eons. The muscle hitches, trembling with the strain of a long-forgotten motion. Slowly, the heavy lash line begins to part, just a hair's breadth, as the eye prepares to open.
