Chapter 60 - Chapter 48: PACT !

Inside the dimly lit lounge, the air was thick with the scent of tea and the low, rhythmic hum of the ship's engines. Despite the plush surroundings, a restless energy flickered among the students.

Momo, her brow furrowed in deep thought, broke the silence. "Where exactly is this ship taking us? We've left the safe currents of Dressrosa, but the heading feels... unstable."

Yanagi leaned forward, her spooky aura casting long, dancing shadows against the bulkhead. "Are we descending into the abyss?" she whispered, her voice like dry leaves skittering on a grave. "To the places where the ghosts of the old world still scream?"

"Maybe we're looping back toward the Red Line," Ain suggested, though she sounded unconvinced.

Camie tilted her head, her eyes wide. "Back again? But they never officially announced where the island appeared. It's like the world is hiding it."

Kendo turned her gaze toward Nico Robin, who sat tucked into a corner, her eyes never leaving the yellowed pages of an ancient tome. "Any ideas, Robin-san?"

Robin closed her book with a soft, final thud. A faint, knowing smile played on her lips. "We are going to dive back into the Calm Belt," she stated calmly. "We must cross the windless void once more to reach the other side."

"The Calm Belt... again?" Ibara murmured, her hands moving into a prayer position.

Bello Betty leaned back, exhaling a plume of acrid smoke that swirled toward the ceiling. "So that's the play. Down into the void, cross the dead zone, and emerge in the sector beyond the known maps."

"Exactly," Vivi confirmed, her expression grim.

Hiyori tapped her chin, trying to recall the charts she had studied in the palace. "It's located near that one place... what was the name?"

"It is near the Shishano Kingdom," a cold, melodic voice rang out from the back of the room. Boa Hancock had awakened. She sat up from her silk cushions, the very image of a goddess, her raven hair flowing like a river of ink. "The sailors call it the Island of the Dead."

Viola stared at Hancock, her own eyes glowing with the faint light of her Glare-Glare fruit. "So, you are the Pirate Empress... I see. You are just like us, then. You are part of the pact."

Hancock stood, her movements radiating a lethal elegance. "Do not mistake me. I am only here for the benefits—to awaken the true heights of my power. I am not interested in fulfilling some dusty agreement between ancient families."

Robin chuckled softly. "A tsundere as always, Hancock."

The Empress bristled, snapping her head to the side with a haughty "Hmph," though the faint flush on her cheeks made the girls giggle at the unexpected cuteness beneath her terrifying beauty.

"The Island of the Dead..." Hibari whispered, clutching her rifle a little tighter. "Are we really going there?"

Kaya, the group's burgeoning doctor, adjusted her glasses. "A kingdom of the dead? From a medical standpoint, I'd be fascinated to see what survives in such an environment."

"Yes," Yanagi hissed, her eyes gleaming. "Let's explore every shadow."

Shirahoshi shook her head, her voice trembling slightly. "I believe we will only pass by it. The new island... Adam... it lies just beyond Shishano."

"Shirahoshi is right," Robin said, her tone shifting to one of absolute gravity. "We won't drop anchor at the graveyard. We are heading for the source of the global disturbance—the place where the long storms, the violent waters, and the surging Haki originated. When that island first appeared, it released a devastating wave of Conqueror's Haki that rippled across the entire Blue Star. It forced the world to feel its presence."

"It was a signal," Vivi added, her voice heavy.

"Or a warning," Viola countered. "The island is telling us something."

Hiyori ended the thought with a solemn, bone-chilling whisper: "It's the time."

The weight of those words hung in the air like a physical pressure. Outside the door, hidden in the shadows of the corridor, a Transponder Snail sat quietly, its eyes mimicking the narrowed, worried stares of the female teachers—Tsuru, Hina, and Nemuri—who were listening from the bridge. They, too, were beginning to realize the magnitude of the secret their students were carrying.

Momo stood up, her face pale. "Wait... Conqueror's Haki? You mean that feeling from fifteen years ago? That massive, crushing weight that poured down like a green sun and made everyone feel dizzy and unconscious?"

"Yes," Hancock said, her voice dropping into a dark register. She clenched her fist so hard the leather of her gloves creaked. "But unlike mine, that single island enveloped this twin world with its spirit. Now you understand why this is more than a mission for a Devil Fruit. Every ancient family is being summoned to fulfill a pact... or the consequences will be greater than any of you can imagine."

The room fell into a suffocating silence. No one spoke. No one moved. The girls sat in the dim light, mentally digesting the terrifying truth: the world wasn't just changing—it was being reclaimed.
