Huufff... huuu... huu... hhuuuu...
Everyone in the room finally exhaled, sweat dripping down their faces. Their eyes were wide with the weight of what they had just experienced; no one dared to make a sound. In that heavy silence, they questioned their own existence. It was the feeling of being stared down by Death itself. The power they once took such pride in had begun to crumble, bit by bit. They looked down, none of them brave enough to meet the gaze of the scroll on the table.
It is one thing to fight for your life, to protect someone, or to fight for yourself. It is quite another to realize you would die before you could even move—that you would vanish without ever knowing what happened.
The silence was finally broken by a maiden's voice from the flower snail. "Robin, take a rest for a while. I know you're exhausted. I'll explain the rest," the voice said with deep care.
"Yes," Robin whispered. She crossed her arms, manifesting a giant hand that caught her before she could collapse. she rested in the large palm, carried like a princess taking her sleep. Huuu... huuu...
Then, with a serious tone, the flower snail addressed the room. "Do you want to continue?"
Garp let out a sudden laugh. "Hahahahahahahaha!" He cracked his neck, his voice turning resolute. "I want to hear it."
He released his Conqueror's Haki like a wave of suppression, but he controlled it perfectly, not affecting the others. Red sparks of lightning poured down, canceling out the lingering death aura left by the Ancient Tongue. This made the others feel more at ease, though no one dared to speak. They simply stared at the snail, waiting. They didn't understand the words, but a sensation like a challenge, a threat, or a revelation was tingling in their brains.
The flower snail replied, "Okay."
Everyone fixed their posture, leaning closer to the snail. Nico Olivia spoke with the tone of a scholar, her voice heavy and grave:
"TWIN WORLDS; CHOSEN SUNS: DESTINED FATE NO MORE; DARKNESS JUDGES, EVIL PEERS; OUR CHOSEN ONE? FRIEND NOR FOE, THESE WORLDS SHALL KNOW!"
Silence fell over the room again. Everyone struggled to process the words Olivia had spoken. Sengoku finally cut through the quiet. "Olivia, tell me what these words mean."
The flower snail remained silent for a moment. "I don't know... but one thing is clear. Darkness will appear, and if those suns are in these twin worlds, then the fate of this world is crumbling into nothingness because an unknown one has appeared. It says 'friend nor foe,' indicating only one thing..."
Akainu slapped the table again with even more force, cracking the wood. "No matter what it is... I'll destroy it," he said in a firm, unrelenting voice.
"Alalala... what a hassle," Aokiji muttered. His voice was no longer bored, but helpless.
"How scary this is," Borsalino added, his tone far less sarcastic than usual.
"Hahahaha!" All Might laughed, flashing a wide smile and a thumbs up. "Don't worry! Everything will be alright!"
The gesture allowed everyone to feel a bit more relaxed and composed. Shakky pulled out another cigar and sighed. "Well, things just got more chaotic."
Fujitora spoke up, his voice soft but steady. "Every word was spoken with a threat, a sympathy, and a will. I want to see with my blind eyes what kind of 'chosen one' Death was talking about."
Zephyr clenched his iron fist. "I'm too old for this..."
Tsuru replied calmly, "That's why we are teaching and nurturing the new era."
Dragon, standing beside Garp, asked, "What is our next move?"
All heads turned to Sengoku, who was deep in thought. "First, we put the Ancient Tongue aside. We need to discuss this officially with the others if it truly concerns our two worlds."
The room reached an agreement to focus on the new island first.
"Sengoku, thank you for your time, Nico Olivia. You have been a great help," Sengoku said.
"No need to thank me, Fleet Admiral," Olivia replied. "I need to do more research on this. Take care of Robin."
"Rest assured," Sengoku promised.
Olivia cut the connection. In the basement of the Ohara library, she walked toward a hidden section, whispering the words over and over: "Suns... Chosen ones..."
Back in the meeting room, Sengoku stood up. "Now, we move on to the primary reason this expedition isn't just about experience for the students. I want all the teachers to choose their best students—those with the greatest potential—to venture onto this new island. Only the ones with the greatest potential."
The leaders nodded in understanding.
"I hope one of them will be chosen," Sengoku continued. "Prepare and give all the support you can, because we aren't the only ones who know what is happening. Villains, pirates, evil... even beasts are on the hunt for this. As for the other students you've gathered, they will conduct their expedition in the safer islands near the East Blue where we are in control. Their safety is a must. And I don't want any of you mentioning the ancient text for now, not until we have confirmed and studied it thoroughly. Any questions?"
"No questions here," All Might said.
"None from me either," Zephyr added.
Fujitora mused, "Students with the greatest potential... it looks like we have many."
Shakky puffed her smoke. "Many? We only have three or so."
Dragon asked, "What about the non-combatant schools? Have you asked them?"
Tsuru replied, "Of course. They have sent their best students."
Gion (Momousagi), sitting with her legs crossed, raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Even the non-combatant schools are here?"
"Yes," Sengoku said. "They are the future of their own academies, after all."
Aizawa, his tone laced with boredom, asked, "When do we start the expedition?"
"We will make a decision after Nighteye inspects the scroll," Sengoku answered. "Nighteye, if you will..."
Nighteye nodded. His Quirk, Future Sight, had awakened to a new level. He could now touch objects and see a glimpse of their future—no matter how many years ahead—as long as the object or person did something impactful that would change life as they knew it.
He stretched his hand out to touch the scroll.
But then...
