Chapter 20 - Chapter 8 : MARINE AND ADVENTURE

The heavy iron ramp of the Marine battleship slammed onto the stone pier with a resonance that shook the harbor. From the white-and-navy vessel, a wall of focused intent descended, led by the massive, imposing figure of Zephyr. His mechanical "Battle Smasher" arm hissed, venting pressurized steam as he stepped onto the plaza to face All Might.

"So," Zephyr rasped, his voice like grinding tectonic plates. "These are the brats you've been bragging about, Toshinori? They look like they might actually survive the first hour."

All Might let out a confident, booming laugh. "They'll do more than survive, Z. They're here to change the world!"

Zephyr gave a grim smirk. "Words are cheap. Let's see if their spirits match their mouths. Marines! Show them who guards the Blue Star!"

On command, the twenty elite students of the Marine Academy stepped forward in perfect synchronization.

The Ideologies of Justice

Smoker: "Wild Justice. I don't care about your rules. If you're an obstacle to peace, I'll smother you."

Tashigi: "Justice of the Blade. I will not allow a single masterpiece to be used for evil."

Ain: "Absolute Devotion. I will ensure order remains untainted by chaos."

Binz: "Natural Justice. I am the hand that roots out the rot before it spreads."

Shuzo: "Physical Justice! Strength is the only language this world understands."

Coby: "Compassionate Justice. We fight so that others don't have to."

Prince Grus: "Solid Justice. I am the wall that will not crumble."

Kujaku: "Dominant Justice. Order requires a firm hand to guide it."

Hibari: "Silent Justice. One shot, one protection."

Helmeppo: "Redeemed Justice. It only matters where you stand when the world ends."

The remaining ten SWORD brawlers and young officers stepped forward in a final surge. "Unyielding Justice! We are the shield of the Blue Star!"

The Hurricane of Freedom

The tension was cut by the rhythmic drumming of a racing engine. From the second pier, the Adventurer Academy's scarred, rugged vessel dropped its ramp. Leading the way was a trio that felt like a localized hurricane.

Ace stepped off first, his Haki radiating in waves of golden pressure. "Boundless Freedom," he stated. "I live my life so I'll never have a single regret." As he spoke, his shoulder ignited, a lazy flame licking the air.

Sabo walked beside him with lethal grace. He held his black pipe in a reverse grip, and as his Haki flowed into the metal, the weapon erupted in a fierce, swirling blaze. "Enlightened Freedom. I'm the hand that breaks the chains." The heat from the two brothers combined, creating a shimmering wall of fire that forced the nearby Marines to shield their eyes.

Then came Luffy, who launched himself into the air and landed in a dusty crouch between his two flaming brothers. "Absolute Freedom! I'm gonna be the freest person on the sea!"

Following them, Koala (Interconnected Freedom), Belo Betty (Corroborative Freedom), Lindbergh, and Karasu fanned out with ten hardened "Pathfinder" scouts.

The Clash of Wills

The plaza became a three-way standoff, and the students didn't wait for a formal introduction to begin testing one another's resolve.

Smoker stepped toward Ace, the smoke from his cigars thickening into a Haki-infused haze that challenged Ace's golden heat. "Freedom is just a fancy word for chaos, Portgas," Smoker growled, his hand tightening on his Jitte. "On this island, your 'regrets' will be written in blood if you don't follow a line."

Ace tipped his hat, the flames on his arm intensifying. "A line? Sorry, I'm not much for following directions. But if you're offering to lead the way, make sure you can keep up with the sparks."

Nearby, Coby approached Luffy with a mixture of respect and concern. "Luffy-san, the pressure of the New Island is unlike anything we've faced. If your freedom puts people in danger, my Justice won't let me stand aside."

Luffy just laughed, adjusting his straw hat. "Shishishi! You've gotten strong, Coby! But I'm going where I want. If we have to fight, let's make it a big one!"

Tashigi had already drawn Shigure halfway, her eyes locked on Sabo. "That pipe... you've turned it into a torch of destruction. You dismantle structure with fire. It's a waste of discipline."

Sabo met her gaze, his pipe glowing white-hot with his Haki and flame. "Fire doesn't just destroy, Ensign—it purifies. Structure is often just a cage, and I'm here to burn the bars."

In the background, Prince Grus stood like a statue, his gaze fixed on Lindbergh's complex gadgets. "Gimmicks won't hold up when the gravity spikes," Grus noted coldly. Lindbergh didn't look up from his gauntlet. "It's not a gimmick if it's the only thing that keeps you flying when your 'solid foundation' sinks, Marine."

Zephyr and Dragon watched the sparks fly between their students. The rigid Justice of the Marines, the explosive, burning Freedom of the Adventurers, and the hopeful Heroism of UA were now locked in a silent war of presence.
