As soon as my lips touched his, all pretense of control fled Kevin's body, and in the place of the typically silent introverted man was a ravenous animal, and I was the only thing on the Menu. I was up in the air, securing myself by wrapping my legs around his waist before I had the chance to breathe. He did not relent his pleasurable assault but somehow managed to find the bed despite operating on pure instinct, or was it luck? Unlike Ben, who had no trace of reservation, however, the silence in his mind was glaring. He did not give me the time to wallow in his quiet mind as I was dumped onto the bed, and before I could right myself, he was on top of me.
I was by no means a shrinking violet, but I found myself attempting to put some distance between us so I could at the very least breathe, but he offered no compromise, only intensifying his efforts. His lips drove me wild while his hands pushed me over the edge until I came apart riding on his fingers. He gave me a second to breathe before plunging into my core, and that was when the very concept of thought escaped me as both my mind and body turned into a mush of pleasure.
When I woke up, the sun was streaming in, the night having come and gone unnoticed. My whole body was aching in places I was not aware could ache. I tried turning only to find myself imprisoned by a heavy pair of arms that, despite belonging to a slumbering man, still held. He merely grumbled and tightened his hold. I squirmed, trying my best to release myself, but I gave up soon after failing to move him half an inch.
An urgent knock sounded at the door, and Kevin, who had been slumbering, shot up from his sleep, pushing me to the side in a swift motion. He was at the door in seconds, clearly having done this several times before. I lounged on the bed, stretching my aching muscles, not sharing the panic my husband felt as he peered through the keyhole. The knock came again, harder and more urgent this time. He pulled it open before the knocking ceased to reveal a frazzled Brian who had three guards on his heels. He pushed Kevin aside and was by my side in seconds, before I could question what was happening, he carried me to the bathroom and barricaded the door after instructing me to close it from inside. A laptop and a bit of apple juice were thrown in shortly before it closed again.
It didn't take long for the noise outside to evolve from confused shouts to full-on warfare, as what sounded like furniture and glass breaking. With Brian present, there was little to be afraid of, so I turned my attention to the computer. The system came on as if finally remembering its role in all of this.
"Congratulations, host, on attaining your second husband. You now possess the technological prowess of a certified genius. As the host, you can also manipulate devices simply by giving suggestion and you can also understand and use any form of technology."
When the laptop finished booting up, the typographical characters I expected had evolved into something else entirely. Instead of seeing letters, images, or numbers, I only saw binary code, and more puzzling still was that whatever image was supposed to be displayed appeared in my mind as my brain was directly decoding information from the computer's processing unit. My fingers flew over the laptop, my brain faster than my mind when it came to accepting this new reality. I felt like a child in a candy store, and pretty soon I forgot why I was locked in a bathroom; instead focused on my company's data, which I could access from anywhere given my unique pass key.
When the door finally opened could have been a few minutes to several hours latter I was still deeply engrossed in my digital world. My brain was now connecting directly to the computer and accessing information even faster than the device could display. It was as if I had gained an invisible signal that allowed me to connect to any device, which was why I was positive the air conditioning unit in the hotel was running cooler simply because it suggested it.
How did you do that Kevin asked, his voice raised in excitement.
I have this ability to gain whatever skills the person I slept with has. I replied truthfully, and given our previous conversation, they fully believed me, judging from the way their jaws dropped to the floor. I stood from the bathtub that had been my sanctuary and walked out of the bathroom and into a disaster scene. I had to come back again to this hotel because the sound insulation must be top tier, seeing how the police were not spread out in the living area.
"What happened here?" I asked, side-stepping an unconscious man who was bleeding from both his nose and mouth.
"Your board members must have truly been touched by what you said, so they cut off all their shady partners as soon as they got to their offices. As you can imagine, these people do not take kindly to their plans being interrupted, and they assumed you were not only the cause of their problems but their weakest link. Thanks to the software Kevin installed on all their devices, we were able to access and take control of the situation before it spiraled out of control."
"You are saying this is not the worst-case scenario," I asked, gesturing at the destroyed hotel room.
"This is the only group that evaded capture and made it here. There are a lot more men dead in our compound," Mathew said, walking in.
"Half the gang is here," I said, attempting to lighten the situation
"Everyone is here. We were just cleaning out the hallway." The rest of my husbands appeared all sweating in their matching pair of designer grey sweatpants, except for Kevin, who was still dressed in yesterday's clothes.
"Did you get matching outfits without me?" I pouted
"I believe there were a thousand of these sets sold. So it's not really matching." Ben offered comfort.
I huffed and walked out of the hotel room before coming back tracking a second later. I silently gestured for Mathew to follow me before walking out again. I needed to get ready for the day before unleashing hellfire in Mathew's company. I had the largest amount of shares in his company, save for my own company, only second to him. His family were accountants going back a millennium and had the right to the first banks in all three countries. My company was one of their biggest clients, and combined with the twenty percent of shares that I held, I was integral to their survival. However, someone was messing with my money and lying and stealing from my husband. I would not stand for it.
