At first, the Rasengan was actually able to contain the shock-force chakra.
Not only that—
It even seemed to carry the shock-force along as it rotated.
But before Yuya could feel any joy, the violent, tearing nature of Shock Release chakra caused the incomplete Rasengan to become unstable.
Yuya was startled.
Without hesitation, he slammed it into a nearby tree.
Boom!!
Wood splinters exploded everywhere.
Yuya himself was sent stumbling backward, his entire arm going numb.
Fortunately, he was wearing the custom gloves, and his palm wasn't injured.
"It seems a prototype Rasengan isn't stable enough to suppress shock-force chakra."
Taking a deep breath, Yuya steadied his thoughts and continued training the Rasengan.
The process that followed took a long time.
Yuya wasn't like Naruto, whose chakra reserves were absurdly vast.
After training for a while, his chakra would be heavily depleted, forcing him to switch to taijutsu training instead.
After that, he would return to Rasengan practice.
The two alternated.
Finally—
After half a month, Yuya fully mastered the Rasengan, an A-rank ninjutsu—
And his first A-rank technique.
Most A-rank ninjutsu bordered on forbidden techniques.
Of course, their power varied greatly.
Different A-rank ninjutsu had different destructive capabilities.
And even the same A-rank ninjutsu, when used by different shinobi, could differ enormously in power.
When Uchiha Madara cast Great Fire Annihilation, its might was nearly on par with S-rank techniques.
A normal Rasengan clearly couldn't compare.
To better categorize A-rank techniques, Yuya divided them into four tiers—
Low, Mid, High, and Peak.
Madara's Great Fire Annihilation belonged to the Peak A-rank.
The lower tiers roughly corresponded to:
Low: Rasengan
Mid: Big Ball Rasengan
High: Massive Rasengan
Adding nature transformation—creating Rasenshuriken—pushed it into S-rank territory.
For Yuya, however, developing one Rasengan was enough.
Big Ball Rasengan and Massive Rasengan were techniques suited to Naruto's overwhelming chakra reserves.
Yuya's chakra was above average for his age—
But it couldn't possibly compare to the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki.
The True Eight Gates remained Yuya's foundation.
Shock Release remained his core.
Everything else was merely a branch extending from that trunk.
Testing the Rasengan
In a forest—
Yuya raised one hand.
Chakra surged instantly, forming a visible vortex that condensed into shape.
Yuya deliberately chose the hardest path, forming the Rasengan one-handed without shortcuts.
That alone was one reason his progress had been slower.
Of course, this "slow" was only in comparison to Naruto, who might as well have been cheating.
If compared to Minato Namikaze, who took three years to develop the Rasengan—
Minato would probably go cry in a corner.
"Rasengan!"
Yuya pressed the Rasengan into the tree in front of him.
Another poor tree was obliterated.
In terms of single-point destructive power, Rasengan surpassed Yuya's current shock-force chakra.
Of course, Shock Release chakra excelled as a wide-area, offense-and-defense technique, while Rasengan was purely a single-target attack.
Neither could be judged superior in isolation—it depended entirely on how they were used.
"Hah… finally done."
Letting out a breath, Yuya wiped the sweat from his forehead and checked his chakra.
At full strength, a single Rasengan consumed nearly half of his chakra.
The chakra cost was enormous.
It really wasn't a technique suited for him.
Fortunately, although Yuya's chakra reserves were limited, his recovery speed was fast.
Before long, he had fully recovered.
Calming his mind and focusing completely—
Yuya finally resumed the development of his own ninjutsu.
After mastering Rasengan, his chakra control improved significantly.
As a result, his Monstrous Strength also became stronger.
At the same time, his deliberate practice in controlling Shock Release chakra paid off—
His mastery over it was far beyond what it had been before.
Hummmm!!!
Yuya raised one hand and formed a Rasengan.
His expression turned solemn.
Carefully, he injected Shock Release chakra into it.
This time—
Under Yuya's precise control, the shock-force didn't disrupt the Rasengan's rotation.
Instead, it was guided directly into the very center.
Rasengan was a stable, balanced structure, with chakra rotating at high speed around a core.
That meant—
Its very center was actually a motionless point.
Sizzle…
As Shock Release chakra entered, the Rasengan did become slightly unstable—
But this time, Yuya forcibly stabilized it.
At the center of the Rasengan, a brilliant white point of light gradually appeared.
As it grew brighter—
The entire Rasengan began to radiate a terrifying aura.
Even from a distance, one could feel the violently destructive power contained within.
Finally—
With the last trace of Shock Release chakra injected—
The core was complete.
At that instant, the outer Rasengan and the shock-force core formed a strange resonant relationship.
More precisely—
The high-speed rotation amplified the vibration frequency of the shock-force.
It wasn't perfectly stable—
But it didn't explode either.
"…Did I actually succeed?"
Yuya stared in disbelief.
He had fully prepared himself for failure.
Yet on his very first attempt, he had reached this stage.
"This thing…"
Looking at the mutated Rasengan in his hand—
Its center blindingly bright, the outer chakra spinning while resonating with it, radiating dread—
Yuya blinked.
Should I just press it forward?
No.
If it exploded in his hand, the result would be disastrous.
Then—
Almost reflexively—
Yuya threw it.
And—
It flew.
"…You can throw this thing?!"
Even Yuya hadn't expected that.
Once resonance formed around the shock-force core, the Rasengan no longer required constant control—
Just like Rasenshuriken, it could be launched.
However, its flight speed was far slower.
"At this speed… it looks dodgeable."
Yuya watched the mutated Rasengan drift forward.
Finally, it struck a tree.
It didn't explode.
It simply—
Drilled into it.
Then—
Nothing happened.
Yuya's eyes widened.
Impossible.
Even a normal Rasengan should have obliterated the tree instantly—
Let alone one enhanced with shock-force chakra.
Just as Yuya wondered whether the experiment had failed and stepped closer—
A gentle breeze passed through.
Silent.
Soundless.
The tree—thick enough that two people could barely embrace it—
Turned into powder before his eyes.
Yes.
The entire tree—
Reduced to dust.
The sight was utterly
