Naming the company after the Titan, or Atlas, was Sui Yang's way of filling the void in his heart.
But the soldier boy...
As a popular character in "The Boys Season 3", Sui Yang couldn't possibly not know who Soldier Boy was.
In short, it's a super-powered Captain America who's not afraid of nuclear bombs, has a chest cannon, and is arrogant, conceited, and moody.
But Sui Yang read more than that.
The existence of the soldier boy implies that the federal government has reached an agreement and cooperation with Frederick Vought, and that the Compound V drug, which can transform humans into "superhumans, also exists...
The world is such a mess.
This was Sui Yang's first thought after reading the newspaper.
Immediately afterwards, the cold, hollow, and emotionless voice echoed in his mind again, repeating itself intermittently:
[With assets worth hundreds of billions in North America, at that time... a door to other worlds will open... whether humanity survives... is entirely up to you...]
Hearing this, Sui Yang felt that the world was becoming increasingly mysterious.
Leaving aside the issue of assets worth hundreds of billions, what other doors lead to them?
Is it up to him to decide whether humanity can survive?
What the hell is this?!
However, Sui Yang only made a few complaints.
Adhering to the principle of "since we're already here," he continued to develop the business
step by step.
For no other reason than for himself and his loved ones in this world, he must also solve the problems of "superhumans," and even more hidden dangers.
Who knows what else is in this world?
To avoid a direct confrontation with Vought International over interests, which could lead to the latter resorting to extreme measures such as sending superhumans to carry out assassinations, Sui Yang slightly modified the company's development strategy.
First, if Atlas wants to maintain its position in the United States, it must be involved in arms, but Sui Yang shifted his focus to the development of relatively "cheap" individual soldier equipment, as well as undertaking "sales" and "contracting" business for both domestic and foreign clients.
Secondly, there's the issue of people's livelihood.
Through decades of operation, Sui Yang transported the fruits produced from his own estate and farmland to his own factory for "extraction" and "processing" to produce "health products" such as effervescent tablets and lozenges containing compound vitamins.
Sui Yang also took advertising to the extreme, while the text advertisements in newspapers could only be considered minor.
Big moves include spending tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of dollars, to partner with cinemas in major cities such as Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
The requirement was simple: before the movie, advertisements for Atlas consumer products would be played.
Moreover, the advertising content is even more "brainwashing".
One of the classic advertisements opens with an actress lying on her side in bed, looking at the night view outside the window with a slightly disappointed expression, while the male actor, while showering, is pounding on the wall with a mixture of self-reproach and resentment.
At this moment, the male narrator says, "After a long day of work, I feel exhausted and drained. I'm afraid I can no longer give her a stable happiness."
The screen suddenly went black!
Once things return to normal, the large screen will display a bottle of supplements bearing the Atlas logo, specifically the red "A" symbol.
The male narrator would then passionately proclaim, "Atlas Vagra!, strengthen the body's foundation, and reliably replenish what's been depleted! Buy now to have Atlas vigor to hold the world!"
The scene shifts again, showing the male and female actors lying in bed in their pajamas. The actress, with a blissful expression, looks at the approaching camera and smiles, saying, "He's happy, and so am I~".
That concludes the entire process, which lasted only 30 seconds.
Atlas, or rather Sui Yang, had a wealth of creative advertising ideas like these, which were quite groundbreaking in the United States in the 1940s and 50s, and even sparked a craze in the country.
Previously, the cooperation period with cinemas and screening rooms was at least two years, and the additional terms explicitly required that advertisements from other manufacturers could not be played during the cooperation period, otherwise a penalty of five times the amount would be imposed.
At first, cinemas and screening rooms felt that this was a complete freebie.
You have to understand that the purchasing power of $10,000 in that era was equivalent to $300,000 before Sui Yang traveled through time. Who would have the time to make advertising costs more than the cost of making a movie?
However, after the advertising effect led to Atlas's sales doubling and its reputation rising, other manufacturers flocked in, all wanting a piece of the pie.
Due to the restrictions of the terms and conditions, theaters with high foot traffic and good locations will have to broadcast Atlas advertisements for two years unless they pay a high penalty for breach of contract.
Two years is enough time for Atlas to gain a precipitous lead.
Finally, there's communication and transportation.
By the 1960s, Atlas had fully acquired a communications company and had a professional research and development team, while in the transportation sector, it chose to acquire stakes in other companies in the fields of railways, automobiles, and aviation.
In the automotive industry, the company with the deepest cooperation with Atlas is General Motors, which even created a high-end brand specifically for Atlas.
Over time, Atlas has come to be perceived by the public as a conscientious company involved in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, agriculture and animal husbandry, and industrial manufacturing.
In the eyes of the federal government, however, it is a "hard-working and conscientious" company that helps the military handle difficult cases and actively pays taxes, especially estate taxes...
When discussing inheritance tax, one cannot ignore the issue of Sui Yang's offspring.
Sui Yang was only 25 years old when he first transmigrated to this world, but from 1870 to 1960, a full ninety years had passed, and his appearance had not changed at all.
In fact, not long after Sui Yang transmigrated here, he discovered that his physical abilities far exceeded those of ordinary people.
He possesses strength, speed, and endurance far exceeding that of ordinary people, and is not troubled by illness, but what troubles Sui Yang the most is....
Immortality.
Indeed, his appearance seems to have been frozen at 25 years old.
He wasn't without female companions; in fact, he had a history of many romantic affairs during his "cowboy era."
However, as he gradually came to understand his special physical condition, he chose to refuse marriage to reduce the possibility of exposure, and thus had no opportunity to have biological children.
Fortunately, these things did not cause him too much distress. After all, Sui Yang wanted to solve the mystery, find out why he had traveled here, and where the voice in his mind came from.
As for those who knew the secret of "immortality," initially only Arthur Morgan and a group of adopted orphans, as well as their direct descendants, were the foundation of Atlas's mercenary force.
Let's return to the topic of inheritance tax.
To conceal his identity, Sui Yang would use makeup to fake his old age, and he would fake his death every fifty years, then reappear in the public eye under the pretext of "grandson inheriting grandfather's business".
So far, Sui Yang has faked his death twice, and each time he handed over 50% of his estate in cash to the tax authorities. He did not use any so-called welfare or charitable foundations to circumvent the law that requires 50% of the estate to be held if the estate amount exceeds $2.5 million.
This is why, even though the founder of Atlas was Chinese, it still had a smooth ride in the western United States... Of course, at times, Sui Yang would also have his private security personnel use some "small" tricks behind the scenes, until May 30, 1993, at 2:14 PM Seattle time, when his net worth successfully exceeded 100 billion US dollars.
He then obtained coordinates that led him deep into the West African rainforest.
Memories of over 120 years flashed through his mind. Sui Yang simply shook his head and smiled before preparing to enter the ruins with the others, but...
[You can obtain... a reset... and... offspring... through the first world...]
