Prologue

Camelot was in the midst of a boundless war.

The Church had declared a holy war and was attacking Camelot from all sides.

If it were not for King Arthur, Camelot would have fallen long ago.

Legends said that with a single strike of his sword, he could shatter mountains.

But the Church now wanted to bring this war to an end.

They had suffered too many losses.

"Summon Michael," they said—the Church's strongest formation, calling themselves the Four Great Angels.

Michael entered the hall.

"Are the preparations for the plan complete?"

"Yes. We can carry it out at any moment. But I do not find this plan compatible with the honesty our god preaches."

The High Priest laughed.

"Release the dragons over Camelot. Let them create a distraction."

Michael was shocked by this decision.

"WHAT YOU ARE DOING WILL ONLY KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE!"

"ARE YOU DEFYING MY ORDER?"

The priest struck his staff against the ground.

Holy chains rose from the floor and bound Michael.

He writhed in pain.

He could not endure it.

"Alright—stop, please. I will release the dragons. Let me go."

"If you defy my orders again, you will not escape with such a light punishment."

Michael now understood that this Church was no longer devoted to God.

He thought to himself:

"They only care about their own interests. Bastards. One day, your deaths will be by my hand."

Two days later, while Merlin was in his study, he saw dragons flying over the plains of Camelot.

In panic, he shouted to the nearby soldier:

"INFORM KING ARTHUR—THE DRAGONS ARE COMING!

GATHER ALL THE ARMIES—WE WILL DRIVE THE DRAGONS BACK!"

Merlin rushed outside.

Meanwhile, the soldier went to King Arthur.

King Arthur sat thoughtfully upon his throne.

"Yes, speak, Gawain. Was there something you wanted to say?"

Gawain's plan was different.

"The Church has withdrawn, my lord."

Hearing this from his most trusted knight, Arthur truly believed it.

He trusted Gawain more than himself.

"Thank the heavens, Gawain," Arthur said, embracing him.

"But the priests wish to have one final meeting with you, my king."

As if it were a gift of war, a dagger appeared in Arthur's hand.

Arthur paid it no mind—after all, he was powerful.

What could a small dagger do to him?

Arthur nodded. "Let them come."

Gawain immediately opened a gate.

The holy priests who called themselves the Four Angels arrived.

A spell was cast around the room, preventing any sound from escaping.

The moment the priests stepped through the gate—

A sword was driven into King Arthur's back.

"FOR OUR GOD!"

It was Gawain.

Before Arthur could even recover from the shock,

Holy spells rained down upon him.

King Arthur had the power to kill all five of them.

But the pain of betrayal pushed him toward defeat.

Gawain pulled his sword free.

"So you don't intend to die without fighting?" he said.

At that moment, an arm was severed.

Arthur turned toward the High Priests.

He enveloped his sword in aura.

BAM!

One of the High Priests lost his head.

"WE CANNOT KILL HIM!"

"OPEN THE SACRED FOREST!"

A portal appeared beneath King Arthur.

As he was pulled in, he cut off another High Priest's arm.

Arthur laughed.

"YOU CAME ALL THIS WAY TO DIE—THANK YOU."

"CHAIN ARTHUR!"

He shattered the chains in a single strike.

They could not overpower him.

At that moment, the dagger Gawain had given him transformed into a holy chain.

Arthur was bound by sacred chains.

"OPEN THE PORTAL!"

Before Arthur could break free, he was sent into the Sacred Forest.

He collapsed to the ground, crushed by betrayal.

All the priests and Gawain fell to the ground.

"A fitting end for your legend, King Arthur."

At that moment—

Though the dragons were repelled, Camelot's fall did not take long.

Merlin and Lancelot vanished.

The Knights of the Round Table were either executed or exiled.

Two High Priests of the Church were dead, and thousands of soldiers had fallen.

But in return, the Church's greatest enemy—

CAMELOT HAD FALLEN.
