Chapter 1 - Chapter One: Eternal Slumber... and a Strange Awakening

The surrounding noise felt like an endless, irritating hum. "Viola! Why are you always alone?" one of her classmates asked with a curiosity Viola couldn't stand. She replied coldly while gathering her thoughts: "I just don't like crowded places." She then leaned her head on the desk, sinking into her own silence, leaving behind looks of wonder.

As soon as school ended, Viola shot off like an arrow. She wasn't running out of longing for home, but for her parallel world; she wanted to finish reading the manhwa "Magic Academy" to know the fate of the heroine, "Leticia." She pulled her earphones from her pocket and put them on quickly, building an invisible wall between herself and the human noise she loathed.

At the traffic light, she waited impatiently for the green signal. Suddenly, she saw a small child running toward the street, oblivious to a speeding car. In that moment, Viola didn't think about her isolation or her laziness; she threw her phone aside and lunged with all her strength.

She pushed the child away, but the price was heavy. Her body hit the ground hard. She felt the cold asphalt and the heat of the blood beginning to paint a sad picture on her white shirt. She lay still, looking at the sky weakly, whispering to herself: "I only wanted to sleep... but not an eternal sleep. Truly... fate always mocks me."

She closed her eyes, surrendering to total darkness... until a radiant light pierced her eyelids.

She opened her eyes slowly to find herself in a lush garden filled with the scent of the countryside and wet soil. "Am I in heaven?" she whispered. A tanned man with a light beard looked at her anxiously, muttering strange words: "Azir Kawiya Burji..."

She didn't understand a word until a strange tingle, like a mild electric shock, ran through her ear. Suddenly, the words began to translate clearly in her mind. He was asking if she was okay.

"Excuse me... who are you?" she asked in a trembling voice.

The man's eyes widened: "Luna! What's wrong? Did you forget your uncle Bob overnight?"

She repeated in panic: "Luna? Who is Luna?"

Bob carried her to the village doctor. After an exam, the doctor said sadly: "It seems she has lost her memory due to the severity of her illness."

Bob stroked her head gently: "It's okay, Luna, I'm here."

"Who am I? And where are we?" she asked.

Bob held back tears: "I am Bob. You are Luna, seventeen years old. You've lived alone since you were young, and you've always preferred solitude and the company of animals."

In her head, she thought: "Luna... she is so much like me."

He took her to a two-story wooden cottage. Alone at last, she looked in the window at her reflection. She saw a girl with short, moon-white hair, wide creamy eyes, and pale skin. "So beautiful," she whispered. "Maybe this world won't be so bad."

The next morning, George, Bob's son—a tall, muscular 24-year-old—woke her up. "Luna! Wake up, you lazy girl!" He took her on a journey to the city of "Archive," the capital of magic.

Crossing a magical portal, Luna was stunned. Flying ships filled the sky, and strange creatures walked the streets. She saw half-human beasts and vampires walking in broad daylight! She was silent, but her mind was racing with wonder. George chuckled, watching her look around like a child who had just found a new toy.
