Chapter 36:
When Crocus looked toward Roger, it scared Roger into running away immediately.
This instantly caused the Roger Pirates crew to burst into laughter.
The Plant Scholars crew partners couldn't help but laugh too.
However, they soon stopped laughing—anyone who was injured, Crocus prescribed medicine and gave strict instructions.
But they didn't dare disobey—they could only obediently follow the doctor's orders and take their medicine.
No choice—on a ship, the ship doctor's position is to heal and save lives. Everyone must follow medical instructions.
This is the rule—no discussion.
Look—even Victor was obediently taking his medicine.
Roger was lucky—he wasn't injured, so he escaped the fate.
"Hahaha—perfect timing. We were missing a ship doctor. Crocus and the two beautiful twin sisters fill the spot."
"Today is a good day. Since we're all so happy, let's have a banquet!"
With that, Roger started shouting for a banquet.
"Hey, is your captain always like this?"
Watching Roger's carefree, jumpy demeanor, Heracles nudged Rayleigh's arm and asked in confusion.
"Sigh… no helping it. He's always been like this. You'll slowly get used to it."
Rayleigh saw Roger starting up again and covered half his face with his hand—especially embarrassing in front of newly joined partners.
Having a captain like this really made him feel awkward.
"Uh? Still better than our Victor being reliable."
Heracles immediately felt speechless.
"Hehe, the captain's strength is still very impressive. At critical moments, he's very reliable..."
Rayleigh awkwardly explained, but soon he couldn't hold back either.
"Roger."
Rayleigh's face darkened. He rushed forward and punched Roger a few times.
"Phew—beating the captain makes me feel much better."
Rayleigh let go of Roger, stood up, and immediately felt much more relaxed.
"Hahaha, Rayleigh—don't be so concerned about face. Banquet! Keep the banquet going!"
Roger acted as if nothing happened, patted the sand off himself, and continued shouting loudly.
This scene immediately stunned Heracles and the others.
"Hey, Rayleigh—keep hitting. I bet on you winning."
Victor was eating while shouting with great interest.
"Forget it. I'm used to it. Let's have the banquet."
The teased Rayleigh gave up and directly started the banquet.
"Hahaha, kid Victor—where did your food come from?"
Roger, hearing about the banquet, immediately went to Victor.
"Here—take this."
A large piece of meat suddenly appeared in Victor's hand, and he handed it to Roger.
"Hm? Your ability? Space ability? Why didn't you use it in battle?"
Roger took the meat and looked curiously at Victor's ability.
"Innate talent—can only be used to store things. In real combat, it's mostly for surprise attacks."
Victor didn't hide it and said directly.
"Oh? So that's it. What else do you have stored?"
Roger asked curiously while eating the meat.
"A ton of gourmet food, lots of fruits, and so on. I love gourmet food, I love eating—as long as I have something to eat, I can get stronger."
Victor said while devouring food in big bites.
"Hahaha—what a great habit, and what a great talent. Come on—let's go to the banquet!"
Roger satisfied his curiosity and dragged Victor off to join the banquet.
The scene was already prepared—everyone gathered around the bonfire with ingredients ready.
Only Heracles and the others looked toward Victor.
"Fine—I'll provide the food, fruits, and drinks, okay?"
Saying that, Victor placed a huge pile of food on the open ground.
This scene immediately caused gasps of amazement from everyone.
"Hoho—I didn't expect little brother Victor to have such an ability. No more worrying about food from now on—this is amazing."
Jabba saw this, came over with a wine cup, put his arm around Victor's shoulder, and laughed.
"It's just a small ability—not worth mentioning."
Victor shook his head and said very modestly.
But Jabba was right—this was actually Victor's biggest guarantee and reliance.
Besides fighting and doing things, Victor was either eating or on the way to eat.
His current strength was entirely thanks to these two innate talents.
"But I still admire you, Jabba."
Victor turned to look at Jabba and handed him a large piece of meat.
"Hahaha—is that so? Come on—drink!"
Jabba heard Victor's words and immediately became happy.
"Hey, Jabba—I'm still a kid, still growing. And I'm injured. How about you go talk to Crocus?"
Victor immediately rolled his eyes at Jabba.
"Ahahaha—right, right. You're still a kid—no need to talk to the ship doctor. Just drink juice, drink juice. Haha."
Jabba heard he had to talk to the ship doctor and immediately didn't dare mention drinking alcohol anymore.
The Roger Pirates members also very much approved of the ship doctor's rules—after all, anyone can get injured.
"By the way, Jabba—I want to ask you guys for a favor."
Victor suddenly thought of something.
"What is it? Speak."
Jabba raised his hand and took a big gulp of wine.
"I want to find the whereabouts of the Baku Baku no Mi—I need this ability."
Victor never missed any chance to search for the Glutton-Glutton Fruit.
"Oh? The Glutton-Glutton Fruit? Rayleigh—come here a moment."
Jabba heard the request and immediately called over Rayleigh, who was drinking nearby.
"Chapter not finished—click next page to continue reading!"
"Jabba—what do you want?"
Rayleigh, called over, looked puzzled.
"This little guy wants information on the Glutton-Glutton Fruit. You're better at this than me—I'll leave it to you."
Jabba directly passed the problem to Rayleigh.
"Oh—so that's it. No problem—I'll keep an eye out. If it appears, I believe Roger will be even more anxious than you."
Rayleigh thought it was something else.
"Good—thanks a lot, Uncle Rayleigh."
Victor nodded and said.
"Hey, kid Victor—you call Rayleigh 'uncle', what about me?"
Jabba heard Rayleigh's title and immediately felt unbalanced.
"Hahaha—Uncle Jabba gets jealous too?"
Victor immediately laughed.
And just at that moment, Victor's Den Den Mushi rang.
"Bruru bruru."
Victor answered the Den Den Mushi.
"Hello—Victor here."
Victor looked at the Den Den Mushi in front of him.
"Victor-kun, it's Shakky. I have good news—do you want it?"
Shakky's seductive voice instantly drew Jabba and Rayleigh over.
"It's Shakky!"
Jabba immediately turned into heart-eyes, while Rayleigh remained calm.
"Oh, Shakky-nee. Could it be news about the Glutton-Glutton Fruit?"
Victor immediately felt surprised.
Truly a case of light after darkness—good things come after hardship.
"Hmm, you're sharp, little brother. Yes—there is news about the Glutton-Glutton Fruit, but it's not easy to get."
Shakky said with a smile.
