Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 - Special Items in the Shop

Entei had seen the Little One use that power once before. Afterward, the child had collapsed into deep sleep from exhaustion.

"You're still too young to control that power properly," Entei said in a low voice. "It drains your strength. Without my permission, don't use it again."

A huge question mark practically popped up over Fuyuki's head.

What was Entei talking about?

Using the system didn't burn his life or cost his soul. It just consumed a bit of Shock Points.

Still, seeing how serious the legendary beast looked, it slowly dawned on him that Entei had misunderstood something.

He tried to explain, but all that came out were babbling infant noises. In the end, he could only give up.

Entei shifted its gaze toward Marshadow.

Just as it was about to say something, the Little One crawled over with the half-finished bottle from earlier, poured some Moomoo Milk into it, then hugged it and crawled toward Marshadow.

Both Pokemon froze for a moment.

A guest was still a guest. If he and Entei were drinking Moomoo Milk here, it wouldn't be right to let Marshadow just stand there watching.

That would be rude.

With that thought, Fuyuki pushed the bottle toward Marshadow.

Marshadow stared blankly.

This human infant… was sharing food with it?

"Buh-buh!" Drink it!

Fuyuki looked up at the slightly taller Pokemon and spoke to it.

Clear shock crossed Marshadow's face. It parted its mouth slightly, staring at the infant in disbelief.

When it didn't move, confusion appeared on the child's face.

He glanced down at the bottle, then nudged it closer again.

"This is a gift from the Little One. Take it," Entei said, its voice heavy with authority.

It walked over, ignored Marshadow, and gently picked Fuyuki up by his clothes, carrying him back to the freshly made leaf bed.

Marshadow remained silent. The ghostly flames around its body drifted and flickered without a sound.

After a moment, it bent down, picked up the bottle filled with milky liquid, then looked once more at Entei and its young before sinking into the shadows and vanishing.

Fuyuki grinned.

Not bad at all. Marshadow really was his lifesaver.

That exchange alone had brought him twenty-five Shock Points. Adding the earlier fifteen and subtracting the five spent on Moomoo Milk, he still had a grand total of thirty-five points left.

He opened the system shop.

Items like Poke Ball for catching Pokemon, Rare Candy for leveling them up, and Secret Power for building a Secret Base all required massive amounts of Shock Points. They were far beyond his reach for now.

Compared to those, it made more sense to look at things that were actually useful in his current situation.

A soft bed and bedding, new clothes, a convenient toilet, a wind-blocking door, cooking utensils…

With a thought, items that matched his needs appeared one after another in the shop.

[Crib: A bed suitable for infants. Equipped with fall protection for maximum safety. Cost: 500 Shock Points.]

[Fully Automatic Flush Toilet: A household item for personal hygiene. Must be installed near a water source. Can be paired with a Distortion Space connector. Waste will be automatically flushed into the Distortion World. Cost: 1000 Shock Points.]

Fuyuki stared in silence.

What kind of nonsense was that?

If he actually did this, wouldn't Giratina, the god of the Distortion World, show up that very night to end him?

[Baby Clothes: A full set of infant clothing suitable for all four seasons. Cost: 200 Shock Points.]

[Door: A door that provides privacy and security. Can adapt to any doorway. Cost: 300 Shock Points.]

[Kitchenware: A complete set of cooking tools. Cost: 500 Shock Points.]

[Tableware: A complete set of dining utensils. Cost: 300 Shock Points.]

[Striped Wooden Flooring: Automatically transforms the floor of a home after use. Cost: 500 Shock Points.]

Looking at the dazzling list, Fuyuki felt like crying.

So expensive… His so-called "fortune" couldn't even buy a single item.

Still, there was one silver lining. With so many fully functional household items available, even if he never returned to human cities, he and Entei could live self-sufficiently on Mount Tensei.

With that thought, he searched the shop again.

Soon, a new set of options appeared, completely different from basic household goods.

[Farmland: A 9x9 plot with premium soil. Any crop planted here will thrive. Can be placed anywhere. Cost: 5000 Shock Points.]

[Fish Pond: A fish pond with a built-in water circulation system. Can raise edible fish or provide an ideal habitat for water-type Pokemon. Cost: 5000 Shock Points.]

[Automatic Sprinkler: A device that automatically waters farmland. Cost: 1000 Shock Points.]

Expensive. Way too expensive.

He glanced over at the Trainer section.

[Poke Ball (Red and White): Used to capture wild Pokemon. Average performance. Cost: 200 Shock Points.]

[Rare Candy: Used to increase a Pokemon's level. Price varies by level. For low-level Pokemon, one costs 1000 Shock Points. The price increases with level, up to a maximum of 100,000 Shock Points per candy.]

One hundred thousand?

The only situation he could imagine was taking a level 99 Pokemon to level 100.

Besides, the real world didn't even have visible levels. A Pokemon's strength fluctuated based on many factors, including its bond with its Trainer, the so-called burst of potential. There was no real way to measure it.

It looks like I need to find a way to earn more Shock Points, he thought.

The Trainer section could wait. First, he had to improve his and Entei's quality of life.

If only he were in the human world.

Unfortunately, his body was far too young. He couldn't exactly ride a Legendary Pokemon around and show off in front of ordinary Trainers to farm Shock Points.

Since that wasn't an option, he'd have to work with the Pokemon around him.

Which raised an important question.

Earlier, peeing on Entei had earned him some Shock Points. So if Ho-Oh ever returned to Mount Tensei and he peed on Ho-Oh instead…

Would he earn even more?

No.

He'd probably be beaten to death on the spot.
