The morning sun poured through the curtains, casting golden streaks across Kai's small room. The boy stirred,
his half-asleep eyes blinking at the familiar sight of his sister sketching in the air. Light swirled from her
fingertips, forming glowing shapes that hovered like delicate lanterns.
Kai yawned and stretched, a mischievous smile curling on his lips. "Hey… want to see if we can make
something really big today?"
His sister, slightly older and calmer, looked up, her dark eyes sparkling. "Big, huh? Last time, you made a
floating elephant that almost knocked down Mom's vase."
Kai grinned sheepishly. "That was tiny! This time… I'll be careful."
He closed his eyes, feeling the familiar tingling in his head — the spark of imagination that set his mind apart
from ordinary children. Slowly, the world around him began to bend, just a little.
Swings appeared, floating in midair, twisting like candy canes. Slides twisted into impossible loops. Clouds
above reshaped into gentle animals — rabbits, dragons, and even tiny birds that chirped with soft, glowing
notes. Kai's heart raced with joy as he reached out to touch the glowing creatures, his fingers passing through
the light with a tingling sensation.
"Look at this, Sis!" he whispered, pointing to a small dragon-shaped figure swooping playfully around him.
She laughed, her voice melodic and calm. "Careful! Imagination is fun, but remember… it has rules. Don't lose
control."
Kai nodded. "I can handle it!"
He imagined the dragon landing on his shoulder, feeling its soft, warm weight. But just as he smiled, a subtle
movement in the clouds caught his eye — a tiny blinking light, almost like an eye, watching him. He frowned.
"What's that?" he asked, his voice low.
His sister looked up, but the sky appeared empty. "Probably a reflection… or maybe a bird."
Unseen by them, a Galactian scout hovered silently, scanning the boy with a strange lens. Somewhere in the
void, a voice whispered, almost to itself, "The boy awakens sooner than expected. He is… interesting."
Kai and his sister spent hours that morning weaving shapes and creatures from their imaginations. The room —
normally small and plain — became a world of magic, full of laughter, floating animals, and glowing flowers. Kai
felt a joy he had never known.
At one point, his sister rested her hand on his shoulder. "You're growing fast, Kai. But remember… what you
can imagine, others might try to take. Power is a gift… and a responsibility."
Kai's eyes shone with determination. "I'll be careful. And… one day, I'll use this to protect everyone I care
about."
As the sun began to set, painting the sky in shades of orange and purple, Kai and his sister sat quietly among
their creations, watching the glowing animals drift lazily in the air. The day was peaceful, but far above, the
scout transmitted a signal, its voice cold and mechanical: "Subject active. Monitoring… potential threat
confirmed."
Kai shivered, sensing something he didn't fully understand. Somewhere out there, he wasn't alone.
And for the first time, the boy realized that the power he had so joyfully played with today might one day lead
him into battles far beyond his imagination.
