His grandpa was a Dragonoid and he was blessed with a dragon egg at an early age. He then named his baby dragon as Parthenax. With it, he gained the class by defeating his master which was also a Dragonoid. Making him to become a Dragonoid classed person after his coming of age.
His grandfather arrived and he greeted him. "Hello Grandpa! My birthday is near, is that why you came back home?" Ren asked.
"Maybe, maybe not. It was just a coincidence." Reginold said to him.
They end up talking while on the way and they arrived in their house not far from where Ren was.
They arrived home and Ren called up his parents. They saw him and bowed slightly to greet him. "We are pleased to welcome father upon his arrival." Anna and Renji then stood up.
"I have heard that Ren's birthday was nearing. I will have to give a proper present to him." He said to Renji and Anna.
Ren was thinking and thought of an idea that just came. "How about teaching me the Dragonoid Path?" He asked. "Please...." Eyes glowing in excitement.
Renji, knowing it, refused as he knew the difficulty of earning dragon's blood. And it was to expose him to the danger of dueling against dragonoids. Only then will he have Draconic essence that he needed to integrate.
Even him as his son was not able to earn the dragon's blood and failed to acquire the Dragonoid Path.
Ren on the contrary was a genius, he mastered Swordsmanship and Healers Path with ease. Maybe he could master Dragonoid Path too!
Then they went to a picnic with him. Together with his parents, they went to the hilly side of the village. It was a plain grassy field and Ren turned seriously.
"Can he learn the Dragonoid class?" Asked Anna.
"Well, we will see." Renji said to him.
"You need to pass the test. Defeat me, and my Dragon. Only then you will be recognised by the Dragon King to bless you with dragon essence." Reginold said to him.
Dueling his father was one, but with Parthenax!? "How can I defeat you all. Two at a time, all at once!?" He asked.
"Yes! Now show me what you've got!"
He will battle Parthenax and him.
"To get the dragon Blood, you must defeat us and become a dragon slayer! Only you can get the Dragonoid class."
He has to beat his grandfather but Parthenax included? That's insane!
Ren then copied his grandpa's class and then the rest of the skills would have to be taught. He could copy the class for now but he still has to learn skills. In which he would expect to be taught after he was recognised as a Dragon slayer.
He needed to convince his grandpa and so he has to pass the test...
He will use Swordsman and not his shapeshifter classes or else he will get his cover be blown.
He has to use Swordsman and Healer only.....
Then they battled....
Ren drew his sword and then they clashed.
Parthenax flew above them and spewed dragon breath. Ren used his Evasive stance and evaded his breath.
His grandfather Reginold leaped and landed on where Ren was and the ground was shattered.
He used his dragon scales and attacked barehands. Sending forth sparks. "You are Not yet worthy to drew my sword." he said as he punched him on the abdomen.
Ren felt all the air in his lungs to left him. He immediately was attacked with his fist nonstop and then Ren felt alarmed. He then used his Defensive Stance then blocked and parried.
His cladded fist met his blades and it was sending off sparks. His grandfather then used Dragon aura and his surroundings burned to the sheer heat.
Ren hissed as the heat was scorchingly hot. Ren was burned but was unfazed. He used Ultra Regeneration and his grandpa was surprised.
"Wait, Anna's Healer Class? Why do you have it? ....wait, you learned Healer Path too?" He asked surprised.
"Yes!"
"Good, then let us proceed..."
Ren used slash and then it was being parried by his grandpa. He immediately was breathed by flames and Ren used block as he could not evade it on time.
He used Blink slash and it struck his grandpa's back but his armour was just scraped by it.
Ren was surprised, he barely did any damage to his armour.
He knew that sword against heavy armors were nearly ineffective and so he used more brute force.
He used accelerate and the speed was now 4 times faster. He slashed in flickers and his grandfather was alarmed. His armor was one by one hit increasingly by the time.
Unknowingly, Parthenax flew above and spewed Draconic Elemental Burst. Blasting the ground with each projectile. Sending forth on his direction made Ren to nearly panic. Though he smiled as he remembered his father's teachings. He gripped his sword and did Parry on his attacks. Sending it back to his attacker with 95 percent execution rate.
"95 percent execution!? How? Looks like you are training well!" His grandfather was impressed more.
And so, he drew his sword at last after recognising that skill. Reginold used Dragon Roar and a shockwave of burst struck Ren and he once again blocked it with just his sword. He could see that the shockwave of his roar was being ripped aside when it touches the blade.
"Block 95 percent execution? Kid, you never ceases to surprise me. To be able to unlock Magical Negation on your block!" His grandfather then turned seriously.
The two slashed each other and Ren used flicker slash on His grandfather but Parthenax interrupted it with his breath. Ren on the contrary used his flickering to evade and then slashed His grandfather. Their swords met and then Reginold used Dragon Might. Making his strength to be as strong as Dragons. He smashed his sword to Ren and then Ren was knocked back, landing on the ground.
Ren then used Heal and Rejuvenation. Heal replenished his Health and Rejuvenation in his Stamina.
He immediately smiled and then tried to awaken his Sword Imbue. It was time to know it himself. He poured mana in his sword and then he finally got to know it. He felt that his sword has reactions and it glowed in a flash.
He discovered his sword imbue type and it was Imbue 1 Ton weight. This was a rare and unique imbuement. To awaken it mid-battle was also impressive. It also made him a Heavy Slasher.
He used his Imbue and his sword became a Ton heavier. Making him slash with more weight.
He smiled at Parthenax and used Flicker Slash. This slash consumed high amount of stamina and then he flicker right on top of Parthenax's head.
He gripped the sword and then slashed with all he got. He called it "One Ton Slash!"
He slashed Parthenax on the head and he was smashed to the ground. Boom!
He also slashed his grandpa on the side and he was thrown.
The two enemies then stood once again and attacked. Reginold used his Dragon Form and then he with Parthenax attacked. They roared at Ren and Ren on the contrary was prepared to meet them head on.
Ren then used Flicker Slash on Parthenax and Pommel thrust on his Grandpa. He slashed and then they were struck with a heavy blow.
They were knocked down and the two collapsed. With the weight of the sword, it was enough to incapacitate the two. His grandfather became human again and stood. His plate armors were falling off from his body and his dragon scales were shattered falling off from his skin.
He did not expect that his grandson was this strong. He inhaled and exhaled then used his trump card. He prepared all his mana and used Piercing Breath with pure amounts of pressure of heat.
Ren was shocked, to use this skill against your grandson was crazy! He then knew that his grandfather disliked losing and even to his grandson. He disliked the weak and he has to be stronger to acknowledge his Grandson.
Ren blocked it with his sword. He used Protection and Heal while standing the attack head on. The breath was sliced like a butter meeting the knife and it separated into two.
Blasting the forest and the ground with it's breath into scorched pathway. Clearing the forest with it's path of directory.
The heat was melting even the ground that he stood. Ren was alarmed as he felt the heat of the sword.
"Ouch ouch ouch hot hot hot!" He panicked, making him to threw the sword after seeing that it melt his sword and then it's direction was to Parthenax with maximum strength.
Boom! Sending him to get knocked out.
His grandfather was amazed, to withstand the piercing breath was epic. It could erase kingdoms and pierce even the kingdom's barriers. He tried his best but it was not enough to defeat his grandson. In which made him a proud grandpa.
Only to acknowledge his Grandson was indeed stronger than him.
It was then, Ren absorbed the Dragon essence that came from the aura of his Grandfather and Parthenax. He was now qualified to walk toe to toe with the other Dragonoids like his Grandfather.
