Chapter 1 - First day

An alarm clock rings over and over, but lying next to it is a seemingly unaware highschool boy who is about to miss his first day of his first year in high school.

The boy rolls over to the clock, opening his eyes… he seems to yell, loudly.

The old hag in the apartment on the other side of the wall bangs and screams.

"Quiet boyy! Don't make me come over there."

The boy scrambles to get into the shower, tripping over the end of his bed and even knocking over some pens and ink on his night stand.

He slams the door shut as he turns on the shower, mistakenly turning it to scolding hot.

"Ow-ahh, that's hot!"

The boy finally makes it out the shower, he scurries towards his closet in his towel where he finds his freshly cleaned school uniform.

He puts his uniform on then heads back towards the bathroom to fix his hair.

He grabs his school bag, his pens, and sketch book, aswell as all the other necessary school items.

He checks the time, its already 7:20 he has 10 minutes until his train leaves.

He hurries out the door and sprints to the train station, he makes it just as the doors are closing.

He is winded and breathing heavily, the train is sort of packed as well, with as little as a foot inbetween one another.

He spots a girl with long black hair at the opposite side doors, she's stunning. The boys mouth drops at the sight of her.

He pulls it back up, now embarrassed that she definitely noticed him looking.

The train shakes a litte causing him to bump the man next to him which in turn spills the mans coffee, all over the boy. The man shocked and angry.

"Youu! Boy, look at this mess you made."

The boy bows his head sincerely.

"Im sorry sir, very sorry. T-t-the train shook, and well it just happened."

The man still angry even though none of the coffee spilled on him, only the boy, and it was hot… burning really.

The man groans in anger.

"I should make you buy me a new one, that's what I deserve for your clumsiness."

The seemingly old man rants on and on.

The boy looks up, and for some unknown reason he looks at the girl who is… laughing, at him?

The boy bows over and over.

"So sorry sir please it was just because the train shook, don't make me pay for another, please."

The old man groans more, still angry but eventually leaves it alone.

"Oh what do I do? This sucks… horribly, it's like a nightmare, my first day and there is coffee all over my uniform."

The boy mutters too himself. He is contemplating just skipping, but he can't, the first day, you'd have to be crazy… or a delinquent. Skipping the first day is a fast pass to being hated by your teacher's.

The train finally stops and he immediately heads to the bathroom, looking in the mirror.

"I can't, no way… go to school, like this."

The boy just stares into the mirror, his eyes seemingly pass through his reflection, he's looking onward… the future, what's to come.

He snaps out of it, pours some water on his face and heads towards his school.

The coffee dried into the color of the uniform, lucky, the boy grins as he applies cologne to mask the smell of coffee.

"Oh thank god. Lucky me, black uniforms are the best."

He walks into the school, but he has to stop by his locker first to grab his indoor shoes. He walks through the isle of first year lockers, where's his, his name isn't on any of these.

He continues through the maze of lockers, looking, searching, but for what, it's not here.

He walks around some more.

"Oh there it is, Aoyama Haru. Ooh ah-haha, my own highschool locker."

He smudges up to the locker so excited to finally be in high school.

Haru changes his shoes and heads to class 1-2.

As he walks into the class.

"Aoyama Haru… Aoyama Haru, hmm skipping fi-"

Haru cuts off his homeroom teacher.

"S-sorry Yamada-sensai, I had a commotion on the train here, so I got here late."

The young and quite beautiful teacher looks him up and down, a stern expression on her face.

"Ok… Aoyama-kun, you sit in the back by the window."

The whole class stares at Haru as he goes through the isle of desk. Haru unaware for the most part, until he gets to the front of his desk, infront of him is the beautiful girl from the train, she smells of… flowers, a sweet and beautiful sent.

Haru sits and immediately puts his head down; an idiot.

"Aoyama-kun!! First you show up late to my class on the first day and now you're sleeping in here."

Haru wakes immediately, shocked, still he yawns.

"Listen I understand it's just homeroom but stop sleeping, gosh, what a trouble maker."

"S-sorry, Yamada-sensai."

All Haru could say was sorry, nothing else, there was nothing too say.

The class laughed at him, not mockingl, just a joke, they thought it was funny that he had started sleeping first out of all things.

Haru fully awake notices the girl infront of him, a calm, soft expression on her face.

Haru pulls out his sketch book, grabs his pens from his bag. He starts to draw, her long, black, silky hair, her pretty face, deep but soft eyes, all perfect details only off a few glances.

But why is he doing this, in class. This is strange Haru covers the drawing with his hands, cheeks red; Haru's embarrassed.

She looked, He knows she looked, why didn't she say anything. The girl clearly saw the drawing… a drawing Haru even thinks is kinda creepy.

The school day goes by, and after his fourth period; physical education, it is finally lunch time.

Haru packed no bento, he has no money, so he sits… waiting for class to start again.

But the girl is here too, still infront of him, the other kids either went to get food or they packed a bento and are somewhere on the roof or something.

She has a bento, a good looking one as well. Haru's stomach rumbles.

Haru blushes, embarrassed he covers his stomach.

While looking down he hears a soft voice, angelic almost.

"Heyyy, Aoyama-kun."

It was her, she knew his name, and she dragged her words too, so cute. Haru's head was spinning.

In his mind many things came.

"She's talking to me?"

"No way!"

Haru looks up at the pretty girl, blushing… still.

"Y-you're talking to me?"

Haru looks around, there is no one of course, she's talking to him.

"Yes, I am. Do. You. Want. A. Piece."

She looked at him confused.

Haru looked back, embarrassed and scared to speak to her.

She just spoke to him like he was an idiot.

"I know what you said okay, don't talk to me like im a baby."

Haru looks at her food again, it looks so good.

"Y-yes, I'll take some, thanks."

Haru smiles.

"Here comes the choo choo train."

This girl… she must be crazy, feeding Haru, they just met.

Haru closes his eyes and opens his mouth, waiting for her now.

She says everything so dull, she has no emotion and yet she's still so cute, it's strange.

Munch. Haru takes a full bite of the squid, that was just fed to him by none other than the prettiest girl he has ever laid his eyes on, he doesn't even know her name."

"This is crazy… w-why would you do that?"

She looks at him, puzzled, expressionless.

"Im not sure really, I saw it in a manga once… I think it helps to become friends."

Haru's eyes light up. Did she say manga… she reads manga, a beatiful girl such as her, there's no way.

"Y-y-you read manga… Really!?!"

Haru practically yells.

The girl looks even more confused. She doesn't answer, instead.

"Hey, what was that you drew earlier."
