Chapter 11 - Ch.11

Kai's POV

The next few weeks were incredible.

I fell into a rhythm that would make most guys weep with envy. Mondays and Thursdays with Nemuri. Tuesdays and Fridays with Yu. Wednesdays and weekends for training and recovery.

Not that I needed much recovery. The essence from two pro heroes was transforming my body at an incredible rate. I was stronger than ever. Faster. More durable. My stamina was through the roof, which both women appreciated immensely.

Life was good.

But keeping the two relationships separate was getting complicated.

It started small. Nemuri mentioning something she'd seen on the news about Mt. Lady's latest rescue. Yu asking if I'd heard about Midnight's controversial interview on hero ethics. Neither knew about my connection to the other, but they kept bringing each other up.

Tonight, I was at Nemuri's apartment after a particularly intense training session. We'd already gone two rounds, and she was curled against my side, her fingers tracing lazy patterns on my chest.

"I saw that new hero on patrol today," she said casually. "Mt. Lady. The giant one."

My heart rate spiked, but I kept my voice neutral. "Oh yeah? What did you think?"

"She's got potential." Nemuri shrugged. "Flashy quirk. Good instincts. But she's too focused on her image. Keeps posing for cameras instead of focusing on the work."

"Maybe she's just playing the game. Using her looks to build a fanbase."

"Maybe." She propped herself up on one elbow to look at me. "Why so defensive?"

"I'm not defensive. Just offering another perspective."

She studied my face for a moment. I kept my expression carefully blank.

"Hmm." She lay back down, but I could feel her thinking. "Anyway, she's pretty. I'll give her that. If I were into women, I might be tempted."

"Are you? Into women?"

"Occasionally." She smirked. "Why? Got someone in mind?"

"Just curious."

She laughed and kissed my chest. "You're cute when you're being evasive. Come on, let's shower. I've got an early class tomorrow."

I followed her to the bathroom, my mind racing.

Nemuri was perceptive. Too perceptive. If I wasn't careful, she'd figure out that Yu was more than just a random hero I'd seen on the news.

Maybe it was time to come clean.

Two days later, I was at Yu's apartment.

We'd just finished our own marathon session, and she was sprawled across her bed like a starfish, completely boneless.

"I think you broke me," she mumbled into her pillow.

"You said you wanted it rough."

"I did. And I do. But my body has limits." She turned her head to look at me. "Unlike yours, apparently. Seriously, how are you still hard?"

I glanced down. She was right. Despite having cum four times, I was already at half-mast again.

"Enhanced recovery," I said. "It's getting stronger. The more essence I absorb, the faster I bounce back."

"That's ridiculous." She rolled onto her side, her eyes drifting to my cock. "Also kind of hot. Give me ten minutes and we can go again."

"Take your time."

She smiled and closed her eyes. I watched her for a moment, admiring the way the moonlight played across her skin.

"Hey, Kai?"

"Yeah?"

"Can I ask you something about your other partner?"

My stomach tightened. "Sure."

"You said she's a pro hero. Older." Yu kept her eyes closed, her voice carefully casual. "Is she anyone I'd know?"

"Probably. She's fairly well-known."

"Top fifty?"

"Higher."

Her eyes opened. "Top thirty?"

"Around there."

"Wow." She was quiet for a moment. "She must be something special."

"She is." I reached out and stroked her hair. "So are you."

"You're sweet." She caught my hand and kissed my palm. "I've been thinking about what you said. About maybe meeting her someday."

"And?"

"And I think I'm ready." She sat up, the sheets pooling around her waist. "Not for a threesome or anything. Not yet. Just... to meet her. Talk to her. Make sure we're all on the same page."

"Are you sure? There's no pressure."

"I know. But if we're going to make this work, I need to know who I'm sharing you with." She smiled crookedly. "Besides, I'm curious. What kind of woman captures your attention enough to make you want to keep her around?"

"She'd probably say the same about you."

"Then we have something in common." Yu lay back down and stretched. "Set it up. Whenever you're ready."

"I'll talk to her."

"Good." She yawned. "Now come here and hold me. I'm cold."

I pulled her against my chest and held her while she drifted off to sleep.

Two women. Both wanting to meet each other. Both open to the possibility of sharing.

This could go very well.

Or it could blow up in my face spectacularly.

Only one way to find out.

The next day, I met Nemuri for lunch at a quiet restaurant near U.A.

We sat in a private booth in the back, away from prying eyes. Even in civilian clothes, she was stunning. A simple sundress that showed off her curves. Sunglasses pushed up on her head. Minimal makeup.

"This is nice," she said, sipping her iced tea. "We don't do lunch dates often enough."

"I wanted to talk to you about something."

Her eyebrow rose. "That sounds serious."

"It is." I took a breath. "Remember when I told you I'd met someone? Another woman?"

"The one from a few weeks ago? The interesting one?"

"Yeah. Her." I met her eyes. "I've been seeing her regularly. It's gotten... serious."

"Serious how?"

"I like her. A lot. And she likes me." I paused. "She knows about you. Not your name, but that you exist. And she wants to meet you."

Nemuri was quiet for a long moment. I couldn't read her expression.

"What kind of woman is she?" she finally asked.

"A pro hero. Young. Just started her career." I hesitated. "She's... she's Mt. Lady."

Nemuri blinked. Then she laughed.

"Mt. Lady? The giant one?" She shook her head in disbelief. "I was just talking about her the other day. I thought you were being awfully defensive."

"You noticed that?"

"I notice everything, Kai." She leaned back in her seat, studying me. "So. The new hero who's been all over the news. You've been sleeping with her."

"Yes."

"For how long?"

"About three weeks."

"And it's serious."

"It's getting there."

She was quiet again. I watched her process the information, my heart pounding.

"She wants to meet me," Nemuri said slowly.

"Yes."

"As in... face to face. Know my identity."

"Yes."

"That's risky. For both of us."

"I know." I reached across the table and took her hand. "But I trust her, Nemuri. And I trust you. If we're going to make this work long-term, you need to know each other."

"And if we don't get along?"

"Then we figure it out. Together." I squeezed her hand. "I'm not asking you to be best friends. I'm just asking you to meet her. Once. See what you think."

She sighed and rubbed her temples. "You're going to give me grey hairs, Kai Hayashi."

"Is that a yes?"

"It's a... I'll think about it." She looked at me, her expression softening. "You really like her, don't you?"

"I do."

"As much as me?"

"Differently." I chose my words carefully. "You're my first. My teacher in more ways than one. What we have is special in a way that can't be replicated. But Yu is special too. In her own way."

"Yu." Nemuri smiled slightly. "You're on first name basis."

"So are we."

"Fair point." She drummed her fingers on the table, thinking. "Okay. Set it up. Somewhere private. And Kai?"

"Yeah?"

"If she's awful, I reserve the right to say I told you so."

I grinned. "She's not awful. I promise."

"We'll see." She picked up her menu. "Now order some food. I'm starving and I need to stress eat."

I laughed and flagged down the waiter.

One step closer to bringing my two worlds together.

I called Yu that night.

"She said yes," I told her. "She wants to meet you."

"Really?" Yu's voice was a mixture of excitement and nerves. "When?"

"This weekend, if you're free. Saturday evening. Somewhere private."

"Where?"

"My place, maybe? Neutral ground."

"You have a place?"

I laughed. "I have an apartment. It's small, but it's mine."

"Okay. Saturday evening. Your place." She paused. "What should I wear? Is this like a date? A meeting? A job interview?"

"It's just... a conversation. Wear whatever makes you comfortable."

"Easy for you to say. You're not the one meeting your boyfriend's other girlfriend for the first time."

"Boyfriend?" I couldn't help but smile. "Is that what I am?"

"I mean... yeah?" She sounded flustered. "Isn't that what this is? What we're doing?"

"I guess it is." I liked the sound of that. Boyfriend. "And for the record, I think the term for Nemuri would be 'girlfriend' too."

"God, this is so weird." She laughed nervously. "I have a boyfriend who has another girlfriend, and we're all going to meet for the first time. This is not how I pictured my life going."

"Better or worse than you pictured?"

She was quiet for a moment. Then: "Better. Definitely better."

"Good." I smiled into the phone. "Saturday at seven. I'll text you my address."

"I'll be there." Another pause. "Kai?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm glad you're being honest with me. About all of this. It means a lot."

"I'll always be honest with you, Yu. That's a promise."

"I know." I could hear her smile. "Goodnight, Kai."

"Goodnight, Yu."

I hung up and stared at the ceiling of my apartment.

Saturday. Three days away.

In three days, my two girlfriends would meet each other.

No pressure.
