Chapter 35 - Chapter 34: Go and come back quickly?

"Ding!"

"The System detected Kage Blade's gratitude value +1000."

"Ding!"

"Your Cursed Spirit Land God's Rank has risen to 51%."

Shiratori Rin let go.

After such a long time, the Rank only increased by one percent.

He looked around, his gaze falling on the two Medical Ninja beside him.

The two Medical Ninja breathed a sigh of relief when they saw him stop.

They were really afraid that Rin's small body couldn't handle such high-intensity work!

Yet, Rin's personality was stubborn, and convincing him to stop and rest was not an easy task.

Now that Rin was willing to stop and rest on his own, it couldn't be better.

Shiratori Rin sat on the ground, and more and more Ninja were healed by him.

Their eyes occasionally looked towards the Iron Tower's main gate, with hidden anxiety.

Although protecting Rin was very important, they were constantly worried about the battlefield ahead.

Their comrades were fighting on the battlefield, but they could only stay here and wait for news.

"Can you handle their injuries?"

The severely wounded Ninja had all been picked out and healed by Shiratori Rin.

The remaining injuries were all ones that ordinary Medical Ninja could handle.

The two Medical Ninja quickly nodded: "Yes, we can! Yes, we can! You're tired, so please rest well first!"

They were afraid of overworking Shiratori Rin.

Shiratori Rin's value to Amegakure was simply too great.

Shiratori Rin nodded, stood up from the ground, and as he took a step, the two Medical Ninja immediately warned him vigilantly: "There's a war outside right now, it's very dangerous. You can't leave the Iron Tower."

Shiratori Rin: "..."

He mumbled a response, then walked towards the corner where the Ninja were gathered.

The Ninja saw him and withdrew their gaze from the iron gate.

If not for Shiratori Rin, the Ninja might have already become corpses.

"I have some biscuits here, want to try one?"

A Ninja smiled and handed Shiratori Rin a biscuit in a tin box.

Shiratori Rin took it, leaned against the wall, and looked at the Ninja in front of him: "Thank you."

The Ninja smiled: "We should be thanking you."

Compared to Shiratori Rin saving their lives, what was a biscuit he gave to Shiratori Rin?

Shiratori Rin's true intention was not the biscuit; he distractedly bit into it and tentatively asked: "Why do you always look towards the iron gate?"

The Ninja exchanged glances.

The Ninja who gave Shiratori Rin the biscuit sighed: "We're a bit worried about the war."

"Do you want to go to the battlefield?"

Shiratori Rin asked curiously.

The Ninja hesitated for a moment, then nodded, explaining: "We'll leave a few people to protect you all; protecting you is the most important thing."

Shiratori Rin looked at the two Medical Ninja who were diligently treating the injured Ninja, then changed the subject and asked: "Are there a lot of injured Ninja on the battlefield?"

Hearing Shiratori Rin ask this, the Ninja all fell silent for a moment.

Actually, Ninja like them were quite lucky.

Although severely wounded, at least they could die in the Village.

Not to mention, they also encountered Shiratori Rin.

Most Ninja died on the battlefield.

Even their bodies couldn't be brought back.

Many of them still had a breath left before they died, but there were no treatment conditions on the battlefield, so they could only watch as their blood drained and their last breath was cut off.

But even so, Medical Ninja could not be allowed to go to the battlefield.

Otherwise, the enemy would precisely target Medical Ninja.

The casualties of Medical Ninja were unbearable for a small Ninja Village like theirs.

Amegakure's previous Medical Ninja unit didn't even appear on the battlefield; they were ambushed by the enemy.

Let alone Medical Ninja appearing on the battlefield.

"You should go help Lord Hanzō and the others!"

Shiratori Rin broke the silent atmosphere.

The Ninja were stunned, looking at Shiratori Rin in surprise.

Shiratori Rin explained earnestly: "We don't need too many Ninja guarding us here; it's very safe inside the Iron Tower. You should go to the battlefield and help Lord Hanzō!"

The Ninja looked at each other.

"We must leave a few people to guard here."

The Ninja squatted down, looking at Shiratori Rin firmly.

He knew Rin was a sensible and good child, but Rin's life was more important than anything.

If Rin was alive, they and the others had a chance to survive.

A plan formed in Shiratori Rin's mind.

He held up two fingers: "Then just leave two Ninja!"

The Ninja thought for a moment, then nodded.

"Alright, then we'll leave two Ninja."

"Kage Blade, Sakikawa, you two stay."

The two Ninja who were called out stepped out of the Ranks, looking exceptionally young, around seventeen or eighteen years old.

"You must protect Rin well!"

The Ninja repeatedly urged.

Kage Blade and Sakikawa nodded solemnly, promising: "We will!"

After instructing Kage Blade and Sakikawa, the Ninja then instructed Shiratori Rin: "It's very dangerous outside, so don't run around. If you absolutely must go out, remember to have Kage Blade and Sakikawa accompany you."

Shiratori Rin nodded: "I understand!"

He only said he understood, but he didn't say he would do it.

The Ninja turned and walked towards the iron gate.

Kage Blade and Sakikawa followed behind them, opening the iron gate for them.

The moment the iron gate opened, cold rain instantly blew into the Iron Tower's interior with the wind.

The figures of the Ninja disappeared one after another into the continuous rain curtain.

The iron gate closed again before Shiratori Rin's eyes.

Shiratori Rin's vision returned to darkness.

Only the dim candlelight flickered.

Shiratori Rin looked at Kage Blade beside him, lowered his head, and whispered: "I want to go to the toilet, but I'm a little scared..."

His voice grew softer and softer.

A smile flashed in Kage Blade's eyes, and he immediately said: "I'll go with you!"

Shiratori Rin nodded.

Kage Blade led Shiratori Rin towards the toilet inside the Iron Tower.

Closing the toilet door, Kage Blade gestured to Shiratori Rin with his chin: "Don't worry, I'll wait right here."

Shiratori Rin said to him: "Then you turn around."

Kage Blade laughed.

"Alright!"

He turned around, and suddenly his vision went black, with a soreness coming from the back of his neck.

He staggered a few steps, and a hand easily caught his sinking body.

Shiratori Rin instructed Rika to lock Kage Blade in the toilet.

After the unconscious Kage Blade was securely locked in the toilet, Shiratori Rin formed hand signs, and a white smoke spread. When the white smoke cleared, Shiratori Rin's figure was replaced by Kage Blade's.

Shiratori Rin touched his face; he was now Kage Blade.

He took off the ring where Rika resided, put it in his pocket, and strode towards the iron gate.

"Kage Blade?"

"Where's Rin?"

Sakikawa called out to Kage Blade, looking suspiciously at the empty space behind Kage Blade.

Kage Blade pointed his thumb towards the toilet and explained: "Rin has diarrhea and asked me to find something for him."

Sakikawa glanced in the direction of the toilet: "Diarrhea? Is it nothing serious?"

Kage Blade shook his head: "He said it's fine."

Sakikawa continued to ask: "What does he need to find? Should I go with you?"

Kage Blade refused without hesitation: "No! You have to stay here and protect him!"

Sakikawa thought about it and realized it was true; both of them couldn't leave the Iron Tower.

"Then hurry back!"

Sakikawa said.
