"WHO ARE THESE KIDS?" Selene asked.
Aurelion was preparing himself to make another Rizz worthy story but Lyra intervened before he could say anything.
"These kids were saved by his highness the Crown Prince and are now being taken in, Your Majesty." Lyra said and bowed her head a little.
"Saved? What exactly happened?" Selene wondered.
Lyra came closer and stood nearer to the fountain in the center.
"Your Majesty, A big fat panda— I mean, a fat merchant was bullying these two poor little souls. He even wanted to harm this little cute angel in the market. His highness saw that and stood tall in his ground. His highness put that big fat pan— merchant into his correct place and saved these little souls. Hehe."
Lyra explained.
"Oh my, such an awful thing happened." Selene exhaled.
She turned to Aurelion next.
"You did perfectly correct, little moon."
"Who knows how much these children had to suffer because of people like the big fat panda Lyra told me about."
NO, MOTHER. THERE'S ONLY ONE WHO IS WORTHY TO BE KNOWN AS THE BIG FAT PANDA, THAT GUY WAS SIMPLY A PIG. DON'T COMPARE HIM WITH THE LEGEND. IF ANYTHING HE LOOKED SIMILAR TO THE UGLY BASTARDS SHOWN IN HENTAI MANGAS.
Aurelion was back to his Gen-Z way of thinking.
"So, How are you going to take care of them now?" Selene asked firmly.
Aurelion turned his head towards Rowan and said. "Well, as for him, I'm planning to make him my personal knight."
"Your Knight? Are you really sure about that little moon. If you simply told your uncle or father that you want a personal knight, they will choose the best swordmasters in the continent and if we were to post a recruitment notice, the line of applicants would be enough to cover the whole kingdom."
Selene thought Aurelion was just being childish and doesn't understand the weight of his decision.
"I believe in destiny. I believe since, I was fated to meet him in such a precarious situation and saved him. He must have a thread of fate attached with me in this life."
IT IS NOT LIKE I CAN EXPLAIN TO YOU THAT HE HAS A CLICHE MANHWA BACKSTORY AND INTERACTIONS AND IS PRETTY MUCH BOUND TO BE AN OP CHARACTER.
WELL, MAYBE A SELF SACRIFICING DEAD ONE TOO BUT WHO CARES ABOUT THAT.
Aurelion paused and then continued calmly to show Selene the sincerity he had in his answer.
"Mother, you have always taught me that everyone in this world has threads of fate and when they share interactions with each other, their threads get tangled and their fates aligns.
I'm just walking on the path you have waved for me"
"Please understand that my decision has not been rushed and is taken after thoroughly thinking about the situation."
Aurelion answered.
"Ok, Whatever, little moon. You know Mommy will always support whichever decision you take but for such a big decision you will need to take your father's permission." Selene supported the statement.
"I will definitely do it, mother." Aurelion responded.
"What about the girl? Have you also thought something about her?" Selene points towards Mira.
"Yeah about that, even I'm not sure about what arrangements I can do for her so, I was thinking if you could help me in that regards."
Aurelion expressed.
"Well, I don't have any immediate ideas but I will prolly get one sooner, till then she will stay with Lyra and then I will ask her tomorrow about what she wants to do." Selene said.
Mira who had been sleeping soundly in Lyra arms even in such a loud atmosphere finally wakes up.
She rubs her eyes.
Everyone's attention shifts to her, finally she opens her mouth to say something.
"Big bwotter Roran, Idweamt that I was eating a very sweet thing."
She wipes her mouth with the back of her hand.
Everyone bursts into laughter.
*HAHAHA*
"Well, first of all, let's start with giving some sweets to her." Selene giggles.
Everyone was laughing, surprisingly Rowan too.
Then—
A guard in full suited armor approaches Aurelion and bows.
"Your highness, the Crown Prince. His Majesty has required your presence."
"YOU ARE SUMMONED IMMEDIATELY IN THE ROYAL CHAMBERS."
