The email from Fistoria's legal team landed at 10:03.
Subject: Proposed Amendment to TOS Clause 7.12b – For Review
Kasia forwarded it immediately. Joanna was already in the conference room when I arrived.
She opened the attachment on the big screen.
The draft was three pages.
Key change: Clause 7.12b now read:
"Platform retains non-exclusive rights to serialized text content and direct derivative adaptations thereof. No claim shall be asserted over independent world-building elements, magic systems, character archetypes, or author-initiated multimedia projects outside the Platform's direct production."
It was clean.
Almost perfect.
Joanna tapped the screen.
"They removed the vague multimedia catch-all. Kept a narrow license for their own adaptations. No reversion clause. No ownership trap."
Kasia leaned forward.
"It's what we wanted. Ninety percent."
I scanned the rest.
"Acceptance deadline: Friday 5 p.m. their time. They want this quiet."
