Severine could only marvel at Alina's luck. Even without Emmett's help this time, Alina still managed to get a ticket to the second match.
She didn't need to intervene at all.
Regardless, there was one thing she didn't expect. From everything she knew, she had always assumed that it was Damien who harmed Alina before the match.
It turned out to be Inori all along—petty and equally stupid. No wonder Damien dealt with him later.
"Alright, take care and give me a call if anything happens."
Severine patted Alina's shoulder, and before the girl could jump on her again, she instantly used Samuel as her shield.
Poor Samuel was left standing with a perfect smile. Inside, though, he was lamenting that he would have to go buy Night Pie again.
"Okay, I understand. You take care of yourself, too. Eat on time and stay away from scary people."
Severine merely nodded before leaving the MMH.
