Chapter 28

Our story begins from where the previous chapter ended.

Ghost Knight –

He had wiped out the entire Lee Family.

Ghost Knight –

"Is this punishment enough for you?"

Jhag Lee –

"I will not spare you!"

He launches a direct attack.

Ghost Knight –

He catches Jhag Lee's sword with his bare hands and breaks it,

then kicks him hard.

Jhag Lee is thrown far away and crashes to the ground.

Jhag Lee –

Crying, he says,

"Why did you spare me? Kill me too!"

Ghost Knight –

"Killing you is not as enjoyable

as keeping you alive.

People curse death without understanding it.

Those who receive death are actually very fortunate.

Those who don't receive it

are given a life like hell.

I want to give you that hellish life.

You will beg for death,

but you will not receive it.

You will be forced to live alone."

Saying this, Ghost Knight uses his sword

to cut off one of Jhag Lee's arms and one of his legs,

and then gouges out both of his eyes.

Seeing this, the soldier faints.

Jhag Lee –

Keeps screaming,

"Please kill me…

I can't bear this pain anymore!"

Ghost Knight –

Walks away.

Scene Shift –

We are shown another location.

The scene moves to Ghost Knight's master.

Vinjin comes to the Master and says,

"Master, why did you assign that task to him?

I could have done it myself."

Master –

"Hm… I know you could have done it too.

But there is one thing you cannot do—

and only he can."

Vinjin –

"What is so special about that human

that you had to send someone like Ghost Knight?"

Master –

"You remember, a few years ago,

one human destroyed several planets."

Vinjin –

Trembling, he says,

"Master… is it him?"

Master –

"Hm… it is him."

Vinjin –

"Then why did you send Ghost Knight?"

Master –

Angrily,

"I don't want to talk about this anymore…

and no one else should find out."

Vinjin –

"Okay, Master."

He leaves.

Scene Shift –

Now the scene moves to First Stage Earth,

where the MC is.

A hospital scene is shown.

Jake Lee –

Sitting beside the MC, he says,

"What do you want to do now?

You barely survived,

yet you still want to walk into death?"

Navi –

Says to Master Jake,

"Don't worry about me. I'm fine."

As soon as Navi says this,

he suddenly gets slapped hard across the face.

The MC watches in shock.

Jake Lee –

Says,

"Go on, cry. It will lighten your heart.

I don't know what you went through,

but tell me when you feel ready."

MC –

He truly begins to cry,

hugging Jake and saying,

"I couldn't save him…"

Like a small child, he keeps crying and says,

"There are very few people I care about.

I don't want to lose them.

I want to become strong

so I can protect my people."

Jake Lee –

Says,

"Cry properly,

otherwise this pain will stay inside you.

Have you thought about

what you will do next?"

MC –

"I don't know what to do

or where to go.

I have no goal, Master."

Scene Shift –

We are shown the house of the Tiger Guild's leader.

Stave –

He is in his library, reading some books.

Just then, his son Billy enters.

Billy –

"Dad, you haven't slept?"

Stave –

"No, I was working on something.

Hm, tell me—what is it?"

Billy –

Nervously,

"I want to talk to you about something important."

Stave –

"I already know what you want to talk about."

Billy –

"Really?"

Stave –

"You want to say

that you want to create your own guild, right?"

Billy –

Asks in shock,

"How did you know?"
