Chapter 1 - When the World Forgot

✨ Velmora — The Hidden City of Magic

Far beyond the reach of humankind, nestled between realms, lies Velmora — an ancient city shimmering with untamed magic.

Long ago, when wars between vampires, werewolves, witches, and other mystical races tore the world apart, the surviving elders forged a pact. They built Velmora as a sanctuary — a place where every creature, no matter their origin or curse, could live in peace and harmony.

Velmora became the heart of the supernatural world — its existence protected by powerful enchantments that make it invisible to humans. Towers of crystal, forests of silver leaves, and rivers that glow under moonlight stretch across the land. But even within paradise, old rivalries and hidden fears remain.

At the city's center stands Velmora High, a prestigious academy for young beings born with magic or supernatural gifts. The school was founded to teach control, understanding, and coexistence — not only between species, but between the magical world and humanity itself.

 The sky was burning again.

Kevin stood in a field of stars, barefoot, the air thick with gold dust and smoke.

The ground beneath him pulsed like a heartbeat.

Far ahead, towers crumbled into the void — cities folding inward, collapsing into silence.

He raised a hand, and light poured from his fingertips — blinding, holy, endless — yet the darkness swallowed it whole.

A voice echoed through the void, deep and familiar.

"You failed, Kevin."

He turned.

A figure stood behind him — tall, silver-haired, with eyes of molten gold and violet flame.

Derek.

Or something that looked like him.

But this Derek was wreathed in shadow and light, his body cracking apart like glass holding a sun inside.

"You were supposed to stop me," the figure whispered. "You were supposed to remember."

Kevin tried to speak, but his throat burned. The stars screamed as they fell, and the world broke apart beneath his feet.

Wake up, Eternal One.

🌒

Kevin jolted awake.

His heart hammered in his chest as he sat upright, tangled in sheets.

Morning light spilled through his dorm window at Velmora High, scattering across old spellbooks and half-written notes.

For a moment, the dream still clung to him — the burning sky, the voice that sounded like his own name breaking.

He rubbed his eyes and exhaled shakily.

"Another one," he muttered. "Same as before."

It wasn't the first time.

He'd been having these dreams for years — visions of fire, of falling, of a man who looked at him with both love and ruin. They felt real. Too real. But every time he woke, the memories slipped through his fingers like sand.

He reached for his pendant — a silver charm shaped like a circle entwined with runes. His adoptive mother, Madame Borden, told him it had been found with him when he was a baby.

A family heirloom, supposedly from the Stone line.

It was warm now.

It always glowed after those dreams.

Kevin sighed, brushing his hair back.

"Weird way to start a school year."

🏛️ The Council of Velmora

Deep beneath the academy, in a chamber carved from obsidian and starlight, twelve figures sat around a floating crystal map. Each shimmered with a faint hue — vampires, witches, werewolves, dragons, and other ancient species — the ruling powers of Velmora.

The Council of Balance.

An elderly witch leaned forward, her voice sharp.

"We cannot allow this. A Chimera of six bloodlines? It violates every law of creation!"

Across from her, a vampire lord smirked.

"And yet, here he is. Alive. Breathing. The prophecy warned us that the forbidden child would come when the seals began to weaken."

A werewolf general growled.

"Prophecy or not, he's a danger to us all. No being should carry that much power."

A phoenix matriarch — radiant and calm — folded her wings.

"Power is not evil. Fear is. We bring him here to teach control, not to chain him."

Murmurs rippled through the chamber.

Finally, the Headmaster of Velmora High — a tall elf with silver eyes — spoke.

"We do not have a choice. His powers are awakening. The longer he remains untrained, the greater the risk to our world."

The vampire lord's smirk widened.

"Then let the Chimera join the children of peace. Let him study beside our future heirs and royals. Let him walk among them."

The elf's gaze darkened.

"And when they discover what he is?"

The vampire leaned back, voice soft as silk.

"Then we will see which side the boy truly belongs to."

🌌

Above them, in a tower window, the Headmaster turned toward the horizon — at the dark carriage approaching through a veil of mist.

Inside sat Derek Stone, eyes half-lidded, aura trembling with restrained chaos.

And somewhere else, in his dorm room, Kevin looked up at the same moment — heart racing, pendant pulsing like a heartbeat.

A whisper, faint but unmistakable, echoed through both of them:

This time, don't forget.
